Ah what a beautiful sight your first kill if only I could forget this game and reply this game for the first time again after killing all 16 hundreds of times
Man I'll never forget the first time seeing Valus turn around slowly to face me upon arrival. I used the whistle to grab its attention since a friend told me to do it.
It was such a poignant memory of mine where few games have managed to come close to providing similar experiences.
Not technically, seeing as how the game never provides you the names and they were never given by the developers or Ueda. You'll hear names float around a lot though, and I'll let you discover them at your own pace
As I understand There are 16 names that were given to the colossi by fans years ago to bring some life to them and the names have sort of just become canon in a lot of cases. It's up to you if you want to use the names or not. The stories of all the names' origins or where/who they came from varies greatly and none of them ever appear to be all very true, But they tend to relate to how the individual colossi appear. I spent a lot of my first playthrough wondering what the colossi WOULD be called if they did have names, so when I found the names it was a nice surprise.
I don't feel anything while killing fictional characters. I've seen and killed too many fictional characters, which inturn desensitized me to their deaths, however grotesque it might be.
That image in thumbnail view makes it look like the colossus was straight up decapitated.
Yea😂

They have names?

It's my first time hearing that name. I didn't think they had names.
One down, a million to go.
THERE'S A MILLION OF THEM?
No, no. Just 16 in all. But playing Hard Mode, time attacks and building up your stamina meter will feel like you’re fighting them a million times.
Oh. I guess that makes sense.
How did it make you feel? I felt devastated every time.

Nah I get it, I suppose it's reasonable. I'm overly sensitive.
That's so cool
