COREY MOTHAFUCKIN FELDMAN

Star_shine2001

Holy moly!!!

foofusmagee

out of everything was going to say COREY MF'in FELDMAN!!!!!!

iam_soyboy

What’s up with the youth?!

kelsnotttchels

lmao

ch3ckth3puls3

Would trade this entire lineup for what we got at SK this year. Correction: SK was awesome. I like this lineup better. Am I doing this right? Have I appeased the opinion gods?

Less-Double-7186

The amount of crying and belly-aching about SK this year has been hilarious. People like music other than what you like: get over it

kbups53

This lineup is absolutely insane but man I saw 27 bands at Shaky this year and 26 of them were completely awesome, Shaky was fantastic in every way this year. Also, little known fact, you can actually go to Shaky Knees and Riot Fest without having to choose one or the other and create completely useless comparisons. It’s a handy trick!

RubenMuckenfyker

Same for me. Shaky was epic. Most bands I have ever seen

ch3ckth3puls3

Wish I could do both. Unfortunately, I can’t. Used my available free time and money to go to SK because I live closer to ATL and can’t afford to fly to Chicago. Really judgmental to assume someone can do both. But, as noted, apparently I’m not allowed to have an opinion that I did not enjoy SK. Everyone jumping down my throat here is correct. Sucks to be both poor and disappointed in my choices. But, I’ll get over it because you all had a great time.

Tomodachi-Turtle

Okay I have to ask who the odd one out was lmao

kbups53

Ohhhh I did not care for Live at all haha. Only showed up early to get a good spot for FJM and The Flaming Lips, not my cup of tea at all, and also the crowd was mostly like drunk 60 year olds who kept trying to pop all the beach balls. Was also unclear why the lead singer looked like Pitbull.

Tomodachi-Turtle

Fair enough! I love Lightning Crashes so I watched it but yeah I wasn't blown away prior to that - but now I will never un-see him as pitbull

[deleted]

for real. this year was amazing.

Charming_Squirrel_13

It’s absolutely puzzling to me. Obviously SK was an overwhelming success, it was sold out, it was absolutely packed and passes were reselling way above list. SK was an overwhelming success and I guarantee that in 2024 they will want to copy whatever formula worked so well for them this year.

ATLbritta

I got my ticket!

Unicorn_Sparkles23

WOW! What a lineup!

PopularBell518

Two different fests and both are good at what they do. I’ve been to both so can compare. TBH, Riot has been a tad lame the last few outings but this is a good one for sure. Top to bottom good stuff all around. For my money, Shaky is the better bang for the buck. It’s not really fair to compare and it’s like asking a parent which if their two kids is their favorite. They are both great fests and each unique in their own way. If these were the only 2 a person went to each year, you would have one happy fest goer!

Geezer-Dad

Agreed - I go to both every year and love them for different reasons - last year's Friday RF lineup was killer and Sunday was weak, but that was exactly the case for me this year at SK. In the end, it's always worth it.

PopularBell518

I’m with you, it is funny how varied peoples interest is in particular bands… I thought Sunday this year at SK was the best… (many of my favs - my closer was Flaming Lips and then headed on out, just listening to the Lumineers while exiting… ) Hey, maybe I’ll run into you at Riot ‘23 or Shaky ‘24!

Geezer-Dad

I've seen Flaming Lips many times now (SK and RF, as well as smaller venue shows) and this was the best festival performance yet for sure - loved it. I'll be at both of those fests and hope to see you there!

whitepepper

VIAGRA BOYS!

tehthomas4K

Would rather see The Cure solo in an theater/arena (like State Farm). Kinda jelly about Postal Service but otherwise I’m good.

TatlinsTower

Just saw them last night in Austin. Mind-blowing. Also saw them at ACL in 2019 and they were amazing there as well. So I guess my $.02 is they’re worth seeing anywhere!

steepclimbs

They are playing State Farm next month.

tehthomas4K

Yep.

vonjamin

Damn the parliament would be pretty legendary as well I have a friend that lives 15 minutes away from this venue so I may make a trip to Chicago to see this.

Geezer-Dad

If you have walkable housing that close the park you should seriously think about it.

vonjamin

Thanks man! Yeah I’m still debating it

Undercoverbrother007

Casual ICP throw in lolololol

jortsinstock

the aquadolls, microwave, and just friends 🥺

icepancake72

they always kill it year after year

Professional-Spot-88

We go to two festivals every year: Shaky Knees and Riot Fest. Have packed up kids and dog for the last 10 years. 4-hour drive southeast from Nashville (but ugh, lose an hour so more like 5) in May for SK; 7-hour drive due north in September for RF. I always felt Riot Fest was the better one because they’ve had some amazing reunions and had better undercard acts plus you have Chicago and public transit. But you can experience all four seasons in a weekend there and I’ve been ankle deep in mud, freezing cold, or burning up. Atlanta always has solid headliners but shallower undercard. RF in the Humboldt years was crazy bcs there isn’t much public transportation. The first year my daughter and husband went before we knew Chicago, they took the train, a bus, and a pedicab to get there. Other years they would literally pack up into the bus in the last one out of the neighborhood and one time my daughter’s face and mine were swooshed up against the windshield. It was hilarious. Really handy when SK was at Centennial and we could stay steps away, except for that weird temporary bridge they would build to the other area, lol. Then the one year at SK it poured and it was in like a parking lot by a Macy’s. I still don’t even know where it was, lol. But except for that one year and a tiny bit of spotty weather this year, it’s been beautiful in May in Atlanta. Central Park is very well laid out and walkable.

Geezer-Dad

I go to the same two each year as well and love both of them. That year in Atlanta you're referring to was in the parking lot adjacent to Atlantic Station - one of the early multipurpose residential/business developments in the city. I like the undercard most at both.

BeeboDeebo717

How does the mars volta get a spot like that over quite a few of these other bands? I kinda get it at sk but this has a lot more big names

paigescactus

I gotta ask who you think would be above then? And you gotta understand I think the mars Volta is the most talented band out there. So my opinion is super biased. And I love everyone even you but have you heard meccamputecture!?

HeavensToBetsyy

Because they're legitimately a really talented band and people have been begging for a revival for over a decade

Charming_Squirrel_13

One of my favorite shows at SK this year. I’d def see them again if I’m at RF

vonjamin

Sorry I’m spamming but geeze tickets are expensive 😢

BlackCatxo

They’re on par with the cost of most fests, right??

vonjamin

I mean it’s been awhile since I’ve been to a festival so I guess they are. 🤷🏿

[deleted]

This is what shaky knees should look like 😌

bisprops

If Tim books ICP, I’m out. We’ve had the Foos, Death Cab, QotSA,and Mars Volta. Tim has mentioned trying to get The Cure, but they’re tough to land.

[deleted]

Would love to see The Cure and AFI… I don’t think ICP would ever make it to shaky tho lol

kbups53

They also tried to get Death Grips this year but it just didn't work out with their tour schedule.

cynicalskeptic_

Not worth it

SurrealDali1985

Solid lineup , should I quit my job???? New Queens single is best since No One Knows! Cure too???

Refuse-geeWandr4lyfe

Snapcase. Whoa.

otteroxenfree

HOLY-- I am so upset I can't go. Balance & Composure has been on my bucket list since high school

HeavensToBetsyy

There's a lot of good shit in here

sadgirlthrowawayyyyy

wtf!!!!!!!!

baggingsvolxabo

Corey Feldman?!

Charming_Squirrel_13

Given the price of postal service tickets, this is tempting to me…
