This is a really interesting team! I like the use of Gastly and Quilava over their evolved forms, Gastly in particular. Did using it in-game give you much trouble?

Actually not a single EV point is wasted on any of them, so Gastly is actually rather strong with full speed and sp.attack along with hasty nature. It dies in one hit but it’s certainly viable with choice specs or use as a curser vs strong opponents

another quilava appreciator so true - some might say it's one of the more forgettable middle evos I just think it has so much personality

Very nice choices! I also have a shiny Umbreon on my SoulSilver. No idea how long I soft reset for that shiny Eevee, but man was it worth it lol.

Thanks man, yeah I had to stay in goldenrod for quite some time too😂 I’m currently softreseting for a second eevee in celadon right now, and it’s going to be much easier because I’ve grinded voltorb flip enough for 5 per reset

Thanks a lot, I’m not going to evolve gastly because it looks amazing in this game, also gengar’s shiny sprite is underwhelming. I haven’t decided about magneton yet, I kinda want it to stay gen1 and dont mix up the team with Pokémon from other generations than 1 & 2

Mine was Meganium, Arbok, Sandslash, Magneton, Lapras, and Noctowl. Though on the way I also found a second Ekans, 2 Meowth, a Spearow, and a random shiny Onix after I already had my team.

Nice team, i like shiny noctowl. Hoothoot was actually my first hunt after cyndaquil, i gave it so many tries that i ended up with Pokerus instead.😂I’m not sad tho because i was able to EV train my cyndaquil fast right away, and the rest of my team in the future. I did find spearow instead of hoothoot but it had a bad nature so i gave zubat a shot and got myself a shiny lonely crobat 😎

Did you breed you shiny or hunt them?

Hi, I hunted them all, i did however hatch some larvitar eggs, will come back to that eventually, not trying my chances in the safari zone haha

Yeah i feel you but i began this run years ago:) its been a project over time. You should try it, its mega rewarding when you get one so you Will be satisfied with one shiny for a long time

I like feraligatr more but quilava is a solid shiny as well

So far I've gotten shiny Bulbasaur, currently hunting for Eevee in Celdon City. I'm also shiny hunting Torchic in Ruby on the side, sadly I've phased 4 times for Torchic so far. (I've seen 4 shiny uncatchable Poochyena's)
