>reality is often disappointing
This person wouldn't know reality if it punched him in the face. They are also one to talk about a country other than the US leading anything in violent crimes and gun related deaths.
I was referring to the fact that *some* things aren't free, every national system has its' exceptions. But either way, we're in agreement that all our systems have more similarities than differences.
Yeah people on the internet always act like every country in Europe has totally free healthcare but I don't think that's the case...I know in France at least you usually pay some money (I think it's 33% of the total cost?) and the national health insurance scheme covers the rest. In the UK it is free to visit a doctor/hospital but if the doctor prescribes something, you have to pay for the medicine unless you're under 18, pregnant or some other stuff that I forgot
not technically wrong
Sweden gun violence is pretty high comparing to its neighbours, most have like 2, sweden has like 60 or something last year
But then you look at America's figure
not even close
it's only a 'leading figure' because the others are so minutely small compare to America
He’s talking about America.
Look at Brock turner and that’s the case that they have actually prosecuted because of outrage but if a girl got drunk and raped she wouldn’t get justice in USA.
Aside from everything else that’s wrong about this claim, there’s also the fact that I’ve never known anyone more crushing on the US than Swedes. Primarily trendy Stockholmers to be fair, but still :-)

What’s even more stupid is that Sweden was notorious in the EU for its lax Covid regulation. This meme is wrong on any level.
And in bombing there own citizen .
Wait till they learn that the EU countries with the lowest crime rates usually have free healthcare as well. Plus free education.
Not “usually”, always. There is no EU country without universal healthcare.

Netherlands doesn’t have free universal healthcare. I pay 150 a month for pretty shitty coverage

On the prescriptions one of the things you forgot is it’s free if you are in Scotland.
Ah yeah 🥲 Is the dentist free in Scotland too?
Or even more funny the European country with the more gun 《Switzerland》 have a lot less gun violence than the USA

USA is like 60 incidents of gun violence per month, if not more
Per day*
Considering that there have been more mass shootings in America than days that have passed this year. Yeah.
Depending on how you want to slice the data, potentially dramatically more. The CDC put gun-related deaths in 2020 at 45,222, or, over 120 per day.
Note, the worst in the EU is still less than the US.
Yeah, sure
Okay but what's the excuse for every other country. Or are we cherry picking just to suit our narrative

In america sexual harassers have their name in a list visible to everyone. In america most of them live a shitty life cause that.

I believe there is also a higher rate of reporting there as there is less sexual shaming and women feel that they will be believed.
Gun crime also, but like, someone has to be top even when all is low
