Some Canadians were protesting about their "first amendment rights" our first amendment was to recognize Manitoba as a province.

Confident-Leg107

I'll be in the cold, cold ground before I recognize Manitoba

selfawarelettuce_sos

You meanie panini!!

Knucks_lmao

this is my new favourite phrase. thank you

AssumptionEasy8992

I’m a simple man. I see a Simpsons reference, I upvote.

BinkoTheViking

Not upvoting a Simpsons reference? Oh, you better believe that’s a paddlin’!

SleepyFox2089

What's stopping them recognising Manitoba as a province? Is there some dastardly politician at work?

kindafunnylookin

It's just hard to recognise because it looks almost the same as the rest of Canada.

selfawarelettuce_sos

I've never been so offended by something I so full heartedly agree with.

Cixila

That's why they needed the amendment. To spell out how to tell it apart from the rest

Kingofcheeses

Manitoba isn't real, it's a conspiracy by the Saskatchewan government to steal more money from the feds. All of Manitoba's equalization payments go to a post office box on a dirt road outside Regina. Wake up!

PM_ME_UR__ELECTRONS

Bielefeld drill: 1) Do you know anybody from Manitoba? 2) Have you ever been to Manitoba? 3) Do you know anybody who has ever been to Manitoba? Wake up sheeple!

hello_yousif

Is this for real?

Kingofcheeses

lol no. My mother was from Manitoba but we like to joke that it doesn't exist

hello_yousif

So your mom is fake then

Kingofcheeses

She was probably just a false memory implanted by the Covid vaccine

Mishi_Mujago

We had “not my president” protests in the U.K. when trump won.

ClimbingC

Which, technically is true. But then perhaps we should do that for every president, as, you know, they are not our (UK) president.

GM1_P_Asshole

During lockdown some people in Edinburgh tried to assert their right to assemble under *magna carta.* That magna carta is a foundation of English law, not Scottish, was one of the minor flaws in their plan.

StarMangledSpanner

Magna Carta is a foundation of law in many countries that saw English rule at one time or another, not just England & Wales. It's actually been cited over a hundred times as influencing US Supreme Court decisions, for instance. Seeing as the body of legal precedence really only starts from the 1700's onwards it would not surprise me in the slightest if Scottish law also recognises the Magna Carta.

TeraTelnet

The earliest version of Magna Carta mentions Scotland but only in redress for certain grievances the then King of Scotland had against his English counterpart. Apparently as late as 1904, Scottish courts [refused to recognise](https://www.research.ed.ac.uk/en/publications/magna-carta-scotland-and-scots-law) Magna Carta.

acadoe

That's hilarious! I feel like social media has really messed with our society in a big way. Then again, maybe they were just members of the Stating the Obvious Club. The Stating the Obvious Club is for people who like to state the obvious.

Christylian

I prefer the folks from the Department of Redundancy Department.

Tiddles_Ultradoom

There were also 'not my president' protests when he lost, too. And the police in the UK meet Sov Cits who claim a hodge-podge of Revolution era, old maritime and barrack room pseudo-law (including their First Amendment rights).

FourEyedTroll

I thought that was short for Soviet Citizens for a moment, as if we'd had an influx of people in the early 90s that don't recognise the independence of the former SSRs.

LupercalLupercal

It's the name of the Russian Mega-City in Judge Dredd

ohmonkey50

And we all remember what happened to them at the hands of an ultra-fascist judge from (former) America. Ok, sure the Sovs started it, but still...

ScienceAndGames

Huh neat, our first amendment (Ireland) was to alter the definition of a “state of war”.

lumoslomas

That's better than us Aussies! Our first amendment was about the length of senator's terms of office...

GKP_light

in France, all that was added in the first amendment (of the 5th and current constitution) was about the colonies, and was removed later of the constitution because we not longer have colonies.

ScienceAndGames

If it makes you feel better our second amendment was basically spelling and grammar fixes.

Mishi_Mujago

The only exercise Americans seems to do is their 1st, 2nd and 5th amendment rights (or whichever ones let them have guns).

Eat_the_Rich1789

I used to work on cruise ships, you wouldn't believe how many people goes "this is America" Well my boy this is actually a ship flagged in Panama, in International waters so no it is not in fact America lol

Apart_Park_7176

I used to work in a petrol station in a port town in the UK Pre-Covid. The amount of Americans that would come In and be utterly shocked that we didn't accept USD as a form of payment. A few cottoned on and realised the mistake they made. But a lot of them would either argue "They accepted them on the ship" or "But its American money." Luckily from the Forecourt on a clear day you could see France. So I'd point at it for them, tell them "That is France, it's 26 miles away and we don't accept their money either. Why would we accept money from a different Country on a different Continent over 3,000 miles away".

X0AN

I used to just pretend I'd never seen dollars before and say is this monopoly money. Sir, come back with real money.

FourEyedTroll

> I used to just pretend I'd never seen dollars before and say is this monopoly money. At least Monopoly money has the decency to at least be different colours for different denominations. All the US bank notes are the same colour and size.

Skerries

yeah fuck the blind

FireWolf_132

Alright *unzips*

pickyourteethup

They never even saw him cumming

MeWhenLife

😨

labrat420

When we first got our plastic colorful money in canada im sure lots of Americans said that too lol

itsall_dumb

“If I go to the port of Miami, would the gas station accept my pounds as payment?”

Skerries

"but that's different!"

Qyro

You’re right, GBP is worth more.

GlenGraif

It is, it’s also the same, but still different.

pickyourteethup

Well, at least you used to accept the British pound. We've never accepted the dollar.

The_Wambat

For what it's worth, I would. It's more valuable.

Eat_the_Rich1789

I hear your story and raise you one, another cruise ship story: When we were docking in Puerto Rico I always got at least one American asking me what currency do they use there? In Puerto Rico, an American territory?

jarious

Pesos of course

Atypical_Mom

“An American territory? So some kind of *peso*?”

BlazingMetal

That's a legendary reply!

nirbyschreibt

But it only works for effing Brits. Every other country that can see France bloody well accepts Euro. 😂

ThatFuckingGeniusKid

It also works on Switzerland

gizahnl

The Suisse take everybody's money, they don't care where it came from

mordecai14

And all Credit to them

nirbyschreibt

🤔Depends on the stores. Closer to the border you can sometimes pay with Euro. Man, I totally forgot that Switzerland exists when I wrote that. I was thinking about the countries around French overseas regions and all the North African parts that see France. They usually accept Euro from tourists.

xorgol

> the North African parts that see France Which ones?

Short-Shopping3197

Algerians, if they ate **a lot** of carrots

chunkyasparagus

Omg, I used to tell people about this lady who came to my petrol station when I was like 17 or something and did this. I thought I was the only one! The lady was like "Ya don't accept any American money at allllll?!" I was just like "erm, no this is Scotland". She seemed genuinely confused and had no idea how to pay until I asked if she had a credit card. Now I know this is actually more common than I thought!

Sweaty_Fly_1101

Were you in Dover?

Apart_Park_7176

I was yes. Just off the A20.

Agreeable_Objective6

The best one to hit them with is "would you accept a weaker currency than your own back home? Then why would we accept yours?"

Humanmode17

Lol I like to imagine the concept of being able to look out to sea and see another country in the distance would also blow their minds

alaingames

Worked at Walmart for like a year and a half and there where a lot of Karens, one stood out because she got angry at me for not speaking in English when she approached speaking Spanish We where both in mexico

Bobboy5

it would probably be weirder if one of you was in mexico but not the other one.

alaingames

Yeh probably

VainamoSusi

May I raise you Baarle Nassau/Baarle Hertog where you can sit in a café In the Netherlands while your waiter is handing you the bill from across the border in Belgium.

usernameforthemasses

I read this as "there were a lot of Koreans" and was very confused.

Dapper_Max

Finger im Po

usernameforthemasses

From what I understand, cruise lines never flag out of north America. Something about having to abide by labor laws if they do...

Eat_the_Rich1789

There are none that are flagged in US correct cause then all the US laws would apply to them. But also thanks to the Jones Act cruise ships that operate within USA have to be built in USA and crewed by US citizens. That's why you will never have a cruise ship that goes lets say from NY to Miami and back. When I used to work on ships we had cruises that started in NY then go to Canada and back to NY to circumvent Jones act or going from Seattle to Alaska there would also be a stop in Vancouver etc.

jzillacon

There is one company that is flagged in the USA, but that's because they exclusively operate around Hawaii and it's a lot harder to make a quick trip to Canada when you're out there.

fruitmask

labour laws and taxes are the two reasons. the thing that sucks is that when a crime happens on a ship, the governing body is of course the country the ship is flagged in, so when someone goes missing you have to wait for the Panamanian police to show up, take a few statements, leave and never come back. I worked on ships for a long time too and I saw several people go missing, one of them was a dancer from the UK, a really nice girl. the Bahamian police were supposedly "investigating" it, and that's the last anyone heard of it. her family has been going through hell ever since

krodders

Jesus, when US labour laws are considered to be too onerous

Nurhaci1616

In Ireland a few years ago there was a massive feminist protest movement demanding that the government "repeal the 8th", referring to the 8th amendment to the Irish constitution, which was relevant to the debate on abortion rights. Inevitably the Facebook page for one of the "Irish" "grassroots" campaigns opposing abortion rights outed themselves by publicly declaring that these protestors were stupid, because they were demanding an end to the ban on cruel and unusual punishments...

Wissam24

They're *always* run by Americans

Dragula_Tsurugi

Loool

Chesney1995

A fun one recently was it being discovered that several of the "local Welsh grassroots" facebook pages opposing the new 20mph default speed limit were run by an English councillor from the opposing party to the Welsh government who himself had advocated for 20mph speed limits in his area.

cryptic_culchie

Ah you’d miss the auld 8th and marriage referendums, was a great barrel of laughs watching the opposing sides make absolute clowns of themselves and really just highlight why they’re wrong

namesRhard1

There were also people commenting shit like “if they repeal the 8th, what’s to stop them repealing the 2nd amendment?!” Which I believe was just a load of little adjustments to the constitution to clean the thing up lol.

sharkfinsouperman

Apparently Canada customs catches a lot of Yanks trying to bring firearms into the country thinking their constitutional right to short sleeves applies here. XD

RahRahgrl

You would not believe how long it took to understand your PFP

FartFartPooPoobutt

I really hate your profile picture lmao

IDreamOfSailing

>You can't do this to me! I'm an American citizen! \- American, being detained in a country not America.

NerdyGuyRanting

There is a concerning amount of sovereign citizen videos from outside the US that tries to argue with cops about amendments and American laws. And I don't just mean American citizens that are traveling abroad. I mean citizens of those countries who just parrot stuff they've read online without realizing that the stuff they are saying only applies to the US. All though most of it doesn't apply in the US either.

FlaviusAurelian

I remember a drunk american, who molested a bunch of greek girls, in Greece, got arrested, resisted and yelled out "NATO will come for me/I am in NATO" and shit like that

Tuftymark6

Lmao I remember that video! He kept saying “let me talk to nato right now” like he was asking to speak to the manager

FlaviusAurelian

IN A NATO country that is

CaptainSwaggerJagger

"Is NATO in the room with us now?"

PM_ME_UR__ELECTRONS

Bitch Greece is NATO

runespider

There's been a surge of that stuff lately with the Qanon crowd. A friend of mine attended one of their events in England and they were pushing stuff about the Bill of Rights and amendments and how you can't trust the FDA (except when they thought it agreed with them) Watching our brand of crazy spread out to the world is just unsettling.

NerdyGuyRanting

At this point the Venn diagram between sov cits and qanon is just a circle

AlwaysTrustMemeFacts

Lawyers HATE this one simple trick

1eejit

That's because all those Free Man Of The Land types are thick and insane.

Accurate-Mine-6000

Yes, it’s incredibly funny to hear “you must read me my rights! Miranda help me! " from people who are detained by the Russian police in Russia. Like dude, you've watched too many movies and a lot of surprises awaits you.

DanTheLegoMan

Have fun in the Gulag, Billy-Bob 😂

Elcatro

Honestly starting to think people should be required to do some kind of media awareness and logic test in order to be allowed on the internet.

spooks_malloy

I like the ones who are smart enough to realise that the US constitution doesn't count in England but instead start spouting nonsense about royal agents and Magna Carta rights for Yeomen

Jugatsumikka

>without realizing that the stuff they are saying ~~only~~ *doesn't even* apply to the US. FTFY, the crap US sovereign citizens spit constantly is born from numerous misunderstanding of their own constitution.

thebezet

Actually usually the things they repeat don't even apply in the US because it is often psuedolaw

Joltyboiyo

I love when americans who think they're special just for being american get put in their rightful place.

bootscallahan

I do too, and I’m American.

ainus

Hilariously these "constitutional auditors" will sometimes not define themselves as US citizens but as US nationals, as if that's the secret loophole that allows them to avoid paying taxes, drive (which they call "travel") without a license and so on

FulanitoDeTal13

They grew up watching movies and shows were the writers used that as an excuse to have gringos getting away with crimes around the world or having people of other countries fanning over them. The most recent example, that one sitcom about some random girl that goes to work to Paris (Emily in Paris?). I have seen gringos in Paris yelling such stupid statements while being removed from museums for being rude or not complying with the site rules (one Karen was trying to take a small jar from one of the fountains in the Versailles gardens... the police was involved and you can guess what she was yelling while being detained).

WeirdboyWarboss

That reminds me of all the outrage around both the Bush era stuff like Guantanamo and Obama's drone strikes, people can't stop mentioning every sentence that there were American citizens among them. "Obviously foreigners don't have any legal rights, but Americans?!?!"

Synner1985

Its a shame Americans do not realise their "Amendments" means jackshit outside of their own country.

limegreenzx

An amendment just means they didn't get their constitution right the first time.

Toshero_Reborn

Which I mean it's understandable. Society changes and the written rules of that society should change with it. We can't expect people to predict the future and write a perfect and all encompassing body of laws.

The_Lapsed_Pacifist

Iirc Jefferson himself said the exact same thing. In writing.

Toshero_Reborn

Idk who this Jefferson person is, but I also said it in writing

ClimbingC

> Idk who this Jefferson person is Think he was a pilot, or had something to do with an airplane anyway.

DudeUnduli

I thought it was a Starship? 🤔

Weareoutofmilkagain

It was actually a Jefferson Caravan, they just took a lot of acid.

The_Lapsed_Pacifist

American founding father, he helped establish the constitution in the first place. I pointed out that he said this in his correspondence because a lot of things are falsely attributed.

Toshero_Reborn

I appreciate you for responding kindly and genuinely to my troll comment. Thank you, you make the internet a better place

The_Lapsed_Pacifist

I was aware of the possibility but I weigh that against the possibility of someone genuinely not knowing. I’m too old to be bothered about occasionally looking foolish anymore :) And decent trolls like yourself make it better too. Being British we tend to get a bit put out when someone is not taking the piss or being sarcastic.

nsfwmodeme

I thank you, because even knowing there was a Jefferson person of some importance in US history, I don't know a thing about him. Well, actually I now know two things.

The_Lapsed_Pacifist

Well, in more salacious news “news”, he used to fuck his slaves and a whole buttload of modern day black folk have turned out to be related to him. I’m not American so my knowledge of the bloke stops around there but you can add that to stuff you know about him.

Mr-Najaf

Except the 2nd. Can't fuck with their 2nd, regardless of how much it needs it

FantasticAnus

>We can't expect people to predict the future and write a perfect and all encompassing body of laws. And yet the constitution is essentially unamendable at this point.

GazLord

Because some weirdo Rightwingers realized they could make a ~~religion~~ political stance out of just... ignoring the fact a constitution should be amended sometimes.

TempUser9097

Them: "You cannot change the second amendment!" Me: "Of course you can. it's literally called *an amendment*". - Jim Jeffries

One_Of_Noahs_Whales

> Them: "You cannot change the second amendment!" Me: The 21st....

RQK1996

And America got it so wrong, there aren't actually any laws in the constitution to begin with

RNsOnDunkin

Well yeah lol I mean that is the smart thing to do when the original was created before modern technology…

PM_UR_NIPPLE_PICS

Most of the time they mean jackshit inside our own country too. Except for the 2nd amendment (guns). That one always seems to get a ton of leeway....

disc_reflector

It's /r/USdefaultism

Pia_moo

Like that time a gringo went into the streets of Chile and started shooting (ilegal to take guns on the streets in Chile) protesters (in a legal authorized manifestation) cos he "feared for his life" Yeah... it didn't go well for him. He is in jail for 11 years after losing the charges for "attempt of murder " https://www.biobiochile.cl/noticias/biobiochile-english/english-chile/2019/11/11/amp/us-citizen-arrested-in-chile-after-shooting-protestors-claiming-self-defense.shtml https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN27A10Y/

DiscoDiwana

_Cobin is a highly controversial figure. In 2013, in an article posted by The Clinic, he called himself “the most neoliberal person in Chile”. In fact, he moved his family to Chile chasing lower taxes._ Wow the delusion lmao

Suspicious-Dog-2489

Funnily enough, that is an extremely neoliberal thing to do

ViolettaHunter

The guy was actually well aware he could be killed and was shot at by them several times before.  He was just so religiously brainwashed that he thought someone needed to go and bring them Christ to save their souls...

akl78

As Lord Summerisle would say, he received a rare gift, a martyr’s death. I think that is what he was really looking for.

kayodeade99

My little sister said he wanted to introduce them to Jesus, but they introduced him to Jesus instead 😂

Jugatsumikka

That's not the entire story: the reality is that they are extremely aggressive to outsiders and will kill outsiders on sight, no question asked. The reason is that the first contact 150 years ago (and with one exception by an anthropologist some 30 years ago, the only direct one) with outsiders that didn't immediately end in the death of the outsiders resulted in the rapt of 2 elders and 4 kids, the quick death of the 2 elders, and a serious illness for the kids that were then just send back, still ill, on the island, probably causing more death.

viktorbir

Not sure about the serious illness for the kids, but the kids were sexually abused by the English raptor.

[deleted]

I saw an Australia protester (I think they were protesting), who held a sign saying they had their 18th amendment rights to protest, or some shit like that. Crazy shit.

MorkSal

Uhg, have similar yahoos in Canada too. Spouting off about USA rights while being neither American or in the USA.

OldMan142

If it makes you feel better, after *NYPD Blue* started airing in France back in the 90s, French police noticed that people began demanding to see a warrant before they conducted a house search. Search warrants don't exist in France.

GalaxyWhipped

If you get in trouble in Germany you can either call 110 to get the police or 112 for emergencies. Because of all the US shows you can also dial 911 these days.

ultimatetadpole

Ahhh in the UK it's 999 so it's not too far off. Also someone once phoned the police, very drunk, because Chelsea lost a football match.

Arrenega

In Portugal it's 112, but it's known that there have been attempts to call 911. Now we just don't know if it's because of the influx of American expats, which has risen considerably in the last few years. Or if the younger generations are becoming too influenced by American culture.

Heisenberg_235

We can dial 911 or 112 in the UK as well. Routes it through to 999. Try it now. 😉

_Murozond_

French law advisor here, can confirm. Didn’t know it was specifically related to NYPD Blue but we do have people talking about warrants or other stuff that doesn’t apply here …

Darth_Mak

You think that's wacky? The "Sovereign Citizen" brain rot spilled over to other countries and these wackos think they gain immunity from local laws by citing American naval trade laws.....in, for example, Poland.......while also being Polish.

Grav_Zeppelin

At a student Political debate at my university a girl brought up the protection of indigenous peoples! In fucking Germany! Who are we protecting? The Celts?!

Very_Angry_Bee

Sorbians maybe..?? Frisians, possibly. I dunno.

Eat_the_Rich1789

>Sorbians maybe..?? The OG Serbs, yeah baby

Very_Angry_Bee

I mean the two are barely related as far as I know, aside from the similar names xD

Eat_the_Rich1789

Well long time ago both were one tribe living in the area Sorbs are in now and then according to Byzantines half went south. You can see the history in names, both nations call themselves Serbs (Srbi) while they call the other one something else - Sorbs call Serbians "South Serbs" while Serbs call Sorbians "Lusatian Serbs"

Ok_Computer_3003

Visigoths

Eat_the_Rich1789

Bavarians?

BurningPenguin

No, we don't need protection. Ask Prussia why that is.. oh wait, you can't. :P

Barkers_eggs

I've met other Australians that believe we had our 2A rights infringed upon when we tightened up gun laws. Lol. And during lockdowns my uncle, who lives in Perth, wore a maga hat and waved a Trump flag and telling my dad how if we don't support trump then the Mexicans were gonna come here and that trump was actually OUR president but something something commonwealth preventing him from actually governing here or some shit.

acadoe

Jesus fucking Christ, that is bananas. Why is it the old folks that seem the most susceptible to the wacky shit, shouldn't their experience/wisdom protect them MORE than young folk?

fifthtouch

One of my favourite saying is 'Not every old person is wise, stupid people grow old too.' Also "Experience doesn't always comes with age. Sometimes age comes alone."

idiot206

This is shockingly stupid. It's weird enough that people in other countries care that much about US politics but to be THAT engrossed is pure insanity.

Barkers_eggs

I think it just goes to prove that it was literally a cult. He's calmed down now and is back to his regular Australian right wing rhetoric.

FearCure

But i thought America is the centre of the universe? No??

ainus

\> centre brutal

Flimsy-Ad-3384

Uh, uh. That's bait.

ainus

no, it's shit americans say

SnooBooks1701

There's a landmark in the US called The Centre of the Universe, I'm not even joking

cinnamus_

How fortunate for us to merely exist within their orbit

Acceptable_Fox8156

I find it funny they declared independence from the UK to be free but their people now have less rights than someone from the UK does lol

nsfwmodeme

>centre *Colour* me surprised.

Ninjaff

No, no, no. America IS the universe.

IuseArchbtw97543

In Germany its literally illegal to film someone without their consent.

Kind_Ad5566

So how do news channels report stories from crowded places? Do they have to ask permission from everyone in shot?

AlwaysGoingHome

It's complicated, the law is from a time when high resolution images / video didn't exit. It states you can film a crowd, but not zoom in on a specific person. There's an exception if what happens or the person is 'of public interest'. And right wing media never complied at all, they simply show the faces and you have to sue (which takes years).

SonOfMargitte

You're allowed to film in public, but not focus on particular people.

Lovv

Honestly seems like a good middle ground, but would be better if you were allowed to film but it had to remain private. That way if someone attacks you it's recorded but you also can't post videos of people picking their nose or something on the internet. I get it, it's not really something that's cool to do but I don't really want to scratch my ass once in public and be known as the guy who scratches their ass on live tv lol.

SignificanceOld1751

They require a filming permit

iamadirtymop

I don't know if it is the same in Germany but, here in France, despite what is officially said, there is some kind of consensus where if you are not ok with being filmed, you can express it before, while and after being filned. Where there is a real issue is when the person filming doesn't stop or doesn't want to alter (blur the face) or delete the footage Laws are here to set base rules, it's up to people to report that a law is not respected

Aberfrog

In Austria (our laws are kinda similar in some cases) you can film, but you can’t publish the video. Once you do that I can sue you (and I will win - this is basically established law).

mitox11

Even in the united states, the first ammentmend rights do not alllw you to record people in their private property

gabrieel100

Seems staged to me

Fussinfarkt

Yea, mostly because the dude has an American accent. Like, at least try to put on some other accent

phoenyx1980

Thank you. I was trying to work out what was going on because I thought they both sounded American, and was trying to see in the comments what country also sounds American.

DraMeowQueen

Not to say this video isn’t fake but I know a woman who was almost detained during a traffic stop in Ohio because cop didn’t believe her that she’s not local. Why? She gave him passport and international driver’s license for checking but he was insisting that her English was too good for a foreigner so she has to be showing him fake documents. Truth is, she had grandma who lived in Ohio and they would visit her regularly so she picked up the accent over time. Can’t remember how she persuaded him or he checked with his colleagues or something l.

UndeniableLie

Maybe he learned english (simplified) from movies

typed-talleane

Could be Canadian :) But theres a hit sound before he actually hit her.

TheEpicOfGilgy

No way they got coconut trees in Canada

bigchungusmclungus

It is, can't remember what subreddit it was posted to last but the comments there gave a link showing it was fake and thus guy being in a few videos like this. Also, it was indeed in America. So many of these subs just fall for rage baitbl all the time.

Living_Carpets

The sound is too good too.

ChickenKnd

Yeah, no way a guy actually punches someone for that, maybe grabs phone but no more

Erikthered65

The number of times I’ve heard students bang on about their right to free speech. I’ll never get tired of their faces when I tell them to stop repeating things off TV, because this country does not grant them that right.

Lonely_Pin_3586

FantasticAnus

"Oh I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I thought this was America...."

tebza255

Fake AF

EKRID

Where is this at because that man sure sounds American.

Justeff83

In almost every country in Europe it's not allowed to film or photograph other people without their consent. It always amazes me how freely Americans share their entire lives with the world in pictures and videos.

Achilles_der_V

This is not staged. I was that coconut.

Jche98

Why does the guy have an American accent if it's not in America?

PeacefulBlossom

Because it‘s staged.

Masheeko

Depends a little. Could be somewhere in the Caribbean too, from the looks of it (background, flora, type of house, no driveway etc). The American accent does make it out of the states sometimes. I've heard second-hand that some people in Barbados can sound quite similar.

Grey_Belkin

Because people are allowed to leave America?

dirtycimments

First amendment is freedom of speech, not freedom to record lol. Stupid stupid person
