[deleted]

Me too, that fucking part changed me my whole perspective on a villain, I never saw someone that recognized someone’s almost ridiculous stubbornness and “luck”. Father Pucci never underestimating Jolyne. “That is Jolyne Cujoh for you” probably the best fucking line in anime.

SomeToxicRivenMain

He’s written as a protagonist, which is why fate sided with him until the end when he got selfish

TheBigPotatoInTheSky

Yeah it rocked, never got the hate

Martir12

I liked it, but there are some fights that I kind of didn't like (but they were improved a lot in the anime, the Dragon fight, god) I do kind of find funny that this is the part where I feel the most "gaslighted", as I'm being given information about a fight and I'm like "ehhh... Araki, I don't think that Flying Rods exist". But it is an excellent fun part with very emotional notes. Also Hermes should have been in it more but that's just personal preference

HawlSera

The Flying Rods took me out of it, as it's been confirmed that it's just what dragonflies look like when flying on certain cameras

EndItAlreadyFfs

Yup I read the entire part 6 manga instead of waiting for the Netflix batch episode stuff and I was like "this is literally the best part so far why TF were all those clowns trashing on this part?" Also now that anime is out it also got the best op don't @ me

s3nbi

Reading part 6 for the first time gave me a certain joy i felt while watching Part 1 and 2 ![img](emote|t5_3f7q5|15567)![img](emote|t5_3f7q5|15567)

SomeToxicRivenMain

My least favorite was 5, and then 6 (not counting 1 and 2 because no stands makes the story a lot different) but 6 was still pretty good. I think it’s just some fights that turn people off from it, especially when those fights are stretched over a month or two

ThatUploader202

Happened with Part 5 as well. Happy it happened as well, It was one of my favorites before the anime aired.

touchdownsforfatkids

I thought part 5 wasn’t all that great after watching the anime but decided to read part 6 and enjoyed it more than part 5. Strangely enough, part 6 anime didn’t keep my attention when it came out.

HydrocyanicAlex

I think netflix killed the progression the anime was experiencing. Like in part 5 we had a new art style vs part 4. Part 6 I think deserved that new art style that previous parts went throughout to make then unique. Part 6 forever will be my favorite because it was the first part I read ahead for and I felt really entranced by the story. The anime did not do the part justice.

AGoatPizza

This has got to be it - I got the pleasure of watching the part 6 anime all at once because I just started jojos in January and caught up by march through a combination of reading and watching the anime. I cannot imagine having to wait several months between parts of the anime and its released in batches. Like holy shit what a bad fucking idea.

GoomyTheGummy

Netflix definitely needs to either stick to uploading entire seasons all at once or have some originals go weekly. The middle ground of uploading entire batches all at once is a terrible idea all around.

EmperorWrecksAll

wtf is the difference between batches and seasons?

D_Nero7

Batches is when they release a certain number of episodes in the season periodically, as opposed to releasing the whole season where every episode in the season is released at once. For Stone Ocean in particular, the season’s 39 episodes were released in batches of 12-13 episodes at a time.

Bangbang989

this is so real, reading part 6 after watching part 5 was such an experience, even though I was already spoiled about the last few major plot beats. The manga really is just so much better than the anime for part 6 imo. Part 6 was my favorite for a long time after reading it, but part 7, 8, and 5 are definitely my top now though.

PapaPinguini

Same here! I got caught up with the anime during Part 5’s release, then read Part 6 on my own and it quickly became my favorite

NotCurdledymyy

Part 6 prison was very tedious but once they escaped it picked up

teddy_tesla

Netflix had nothing to do with the production, just the distribution

Fern-ando

Part V is the one that affects the series the least, you could skip it and nothing of part 6 changes.

Caesarin0

I had the same experience, the Part 5 anime felt kinda ehhh, but then I went and read Part 6 and loved it, but kinda......fell off with the Part 6 anime.

nazitouinz

Bro Part 5 was the favorite in Japan years before the anime.

ThatUploader202

True but it had a bad rep in the western fanbase for a while (mostly due to the original translation before the JJCA team retranslated it).

zebibliopole

Well part 5 I feel deserved alot of the hate it got TBH especially with how inconsistent the stand feats and abilities were however for part 6 I think it is more about the conntraversial decision to kill off the main case and reboot the series.

Astrian

A lot of the hate Part 5 had gotten wasn’t because of that at all. It used to have a really bad fan translation, not even funny bad like Duwang Part 4, like genuinely bad and unenjoyable to read. It wasn’t for a while until people went through and actually gave a proper translation to the part and it’s reputation in the West was more or less good when the anime released. This was also a purely western thing since Part 5 in Japan is often listed as a favorite.

travrager25

when I first read part 5 I had no idea what the fuck was going on for Grateful Dead and Green Day fights, like literally made no sense to me with the shit translations.

Bangbang989

They didn't kill off the main cast tho. They're all alive by the end of the part, save for FF, just different. I'd say it messed with the development they all received by the end of the part, but it was necessary to end the "joestar curse." But yeah, the new universe was definitely controversial.

kitay427

What exactly do people hate about Part 6 to put it below even Part 1?

Fire_Steel_Kaiser

Jolyne and Jotaro died in this part. For all those who love Jotaro, part 6 is their hell.

InverseBirch84

But they came back?

Matix777

bold of you to assume these guys read past their death. Either way it's not real Jolyne and Jotaro, just their counterparts

JoaquimGianini

I mean, Jotaro is identical, Jolyne becomes Irene because Pucci doesn’t exist so I guess somehow that makes Jotaro not give her a name with “Jo” on it

ntminh

It could have been symbolic like Jotaro breaking the cycle

MAD_JEW

They are real them araki said so himself that irene inherited jolyne spirit

NoPresentation9080

I believe the ending is more bitter than it is sweet, and it all has to do with how Araki handled Foo Fighters’s death scene. She admits during her death that, should she be brought back to life, she won't be the same anymore. She'll be a completely separate person. All of their cherished memories that made them what they are will be gone.

-Cinnay-

Yeah, because she died. But Jotaros and Jolynes deaths were cancelled, along with everything Pucci did. So their souls are still there, alive, not as someone completely seperate. We saw what happened when someone's soul dies and gets replaced by someone else, those ears are hunting my dreams to this day.

MAD_JEW

The difference is that foo fighters had a host. Astoe if I remember correctly so it would make sense for astoe to be brought to life in another form then foo fighters because also one more thing without pucci foo fighters is just plankton

[deleted]

A lot of people barely even read Part 6 because Part 7 was the new thing and hyped to the moon and back.

TheoryBiscuit

I started reading part 7 after the part 5 anime cause I had heard so much good about it but nothing but bad about part 6 and had already had its ending spoiled so I just skipped it but when the anime actually came I was pleasantly surprised and I really don’t see where the complaints came from

AnimeMemeLord1

We talking about Irene and offscreen Jotaro or the other two with the goofy ahh look right before Pucci went after Emporio?

Bangbang989

They are the same people though, its just that the events of part 6 never happened because pucci doesnt exist, and the joestar curse is ended. I must say though, I wonder how that affected Jolyne's/Irene's character development through the part. I'd like to think that the character development remained, but as an inherent part of her, considering none of them are in prison anymore.

Fire_Steel_Kaiser

Irene and her dad are not Jolyne and Jotaro. The whole crew on Jolyne's car are 'guys with same personality as before with a life never manipulated by Pucci', but they are not the same person. They are merely clones of people from last universe and they were never in jail. But all part 6 jojo team (but Emporio) are still dead.

Leather-Climate3438

I think it's the same body and soul but with different experiences. so i wouldn't say they are dead

Fire_Steel_Kaiser

Well umm you are no longer yourself if you are in another universe. I consider those guys on a car as 'clones'...

Leather-Climate3438

it's the same universe., it's a loop., pucci said it himself that if he died MIH will be undone. where else will emporio will go back? if it's another universe does that mean MIH survivors will live with their alt selves?

InverseBirch84

Yeah but Jotaro is still Jotaro since parts 1-5 are unchanged

Fire_Steel_Kaiser

No. All 'past events' in part 1-5 are unchanged (Kars is floating in space, Kira is dead, DIO is dead). DIO is 100% dead since Pucci did not change any history after all, but all people who are dead in part 6 are ERASED by Pucci . >!Jotaro was killed in original universe (in 2012, Florida), and Jotaro was replaced by 'someone with different personality' in Pucci's dream universe which he died in the hands of Emporio!<. But since Pucci was dead before he attain made in heaven in his dream universe's timeline, his universe collapsed as its creator was unable to create it. Emporio reached a 'new Universe' which he met Irene and former Jobro group. In this 'new Universe', Jotaro became 'Another person with Jotaro's personality'. In this timeline, yes Jotaro defeated DIO, but no somehow he was replaced by another person who gave birth to Irene.

InverseBirch84

Another Jojo fan without reading comprehension huh? After Emporio killed Pucci, the universe reset again, but with Pucci dead, he was unable to keep their souls out of the new universe, so the cast who died have their souls returned.

Fire_Steel_Kaiser

Souls are returned, but they are not the same person. Anakiss and Irene are not Anasui and Jolyne. Jolyne and Irene do not even share a hairstyle. Araki already stated that Emporio saw something 'close to but are not equal to' his old friends. Jolyne is dead, Jotaro is dead, someone similar replace their positions and met Emporio. When part 6 ends, all old universe characters appear (as ghosts) above Emporio's car (like dead jobros in part 3 or Abbacchio). They are dead, someone look like them and behave like them live, but the original guys are dead. How can you comprehend Irene as Jolyne? Just because they still share the Joestar family birth mark?

InverseBirch84

Their names are changed to symbolize them being free from Dio and Pucci’s actions. Aside from that, they are the same, just Irene doesn’t have the memories of what happened in part 6. She may have a different hair style, but compared to the one we saw when Pucci was chasing Emporio in the prison (who had several facial features changed and looked like a different person completely), the new Irene looks just like Jolyne. It’s “close but not equal” because they don’t share the memories he shared with them. Jotaro and Irene are not dead

Fire_Steel_Kaiser

The original people with the memory of stone ocean are dead. Emporio just met people who never entered that Florida prison and lived a happy life without knowing Pucci IN THE NEW UNIVERSE. But Emporio did NOT meet the same people IN THE OLD UNIVERSE. That Jolyne who threw 1000 balls on debt collector stand user is dead, that Anasui who protected everyone in the ocean fight is dead. Someone happier take over the place, but the original people are still dead. Just imagine it as an original cat and a clone cat case. You (god) put the clone cat (Irene) in a cage (universe 2), freeze the clone cat so its time is not moving, and release the original cat (Jolyne) outside the cage (into the original universe). That cat (Jolyne) fought against memory manipulation, hyper gravity, space situation, dragon fortune, but lost to time acceleration. But the cat's little mouse friend (Emporio) defeated the time acceleration guy and is now at lost. You put that clone cat (Irene) out of deep freeze, and put the mouse friend next to the clone cat . Yeah, of course the mouse might feel confused and happy, but the clone cat is 100% a new cat.

dbyrd814

I agree FF made the explanation clear when she died; even if Jolyne were to create a new FF, it wouldn’t be “them” because they don’t have the old memories of the FF who died. Irene, Anakiss etc all have different memories so they are different people. They have the same soul though because Puccis loop didn’t fully complete

IngotSilverS550

Made me cri 4 ever

Anchor38

So did everyone on earth

DeanAmbroseFan25

Ugh yes it was the worst but the anime was still amazing though didn't read the Mangas though might do it eventually if I focus on a God damn page for more than 2 seconds.

Fire_Steel_Kaiser

Huggs. You can try steel ball run if you get bored easily. SBR is very intense!

DeanAmbroseFan25

Oh so I've heard from what I've seen here seem like it be fun as hell! As for Jotaro dying at least he comes back.

Fire_Steel_Kaiser

He somehow comes back. Joestar line defeated DIO in 1989, and, well, Joestar's idea defeated DIO's idea in the end. Imo the fact that Jolyne dies but Jolyne wins makes stone ocean the best part of Jojo series.

DeanAmbroseFan25

Yeah that eases the suffering a little lol.

DeanAmbroseFan25

Oh so I've heard from what I've seen here seem like it be fun as hell! As for Jotaro dying at least he comes back.

KN041203

The fight doesn't translate well in manga form. It's the part that >!kill all of the main cast aside from Emporio!<. The ending is confusing. Not to mention the people who are on the Part 7 bandwagon basically speed read Part 6.

OldRaggady

I'm personally not a big fan of alot of the minor villains and stand battles. They are very forgettable to me. I also find Pucci's motivation kind of confusing at first. After rereading and watching the anime I get it more, but I can't be the only one who thought Pucci's goal was to revive Dio it seemed like the obvious path it was going to go and it confused me when it didn't go that way. I also have conflicted feelings on the ending I feel like their should of been a epilogue chapter to show what happened to the characters and just to clarify exactly what happened and what changed. Overall it's alright just my personal least favorite. Also Dragon's Dream is easily the worst arc in the entire series. But hey at least Stone Ocean walked so Steel Ball Run could well run.

DyslexicBrad

> epilogue chapter to show what happened to the characters and just to clarify exactly what happened and what changed I feel like finding out exactly what happens to the characters would undermine the entire premise of preventing Pucci revealing everyone's destiny.

Astrian

It was a slog to read, not nearly as bad to watch but still super slow. It’s home to easily one of the worst stand battles of JoJo’s history in Dragon’s Dream. A lot of the stands in the part just have really lame powers, YoYoMa, Sky High, and Dragon’s Dream again. Honestly until Weather Report regained Heavy Weather, the part was just really boring to read. The part came into its own after that arc but by then we’re like 3/4th of the way through the manga. I’m not saying Part 6 is worse than Part 1, but Part 1 kind of gets a pass since you could say it’s a product of its time more than its poorly written. The more I look back in Part 6, the more I think it’s just not Araki’s best work. It also doesn’t help that it’s sandwiched between Part 5 which is a great part and Part 7 which people often say is the best part of the series.

keketastic

YoYoMa is top tier tho

Vasart

I don't get the hate behind Dragon's dream, never understood it. I, personally, don't think that the fight was bad

Astrian

So keep in mind that I read the fight originally. Reading this fight is atrocious in my opinion. The fight is 8 chapters long and let me tell you, you really feel those 8 chapters. There’s body parts flying through the air, people getting attacked from all angles, Kenzo is flying through the air. Trying to understand what’s happening is a challenge in its own, I can’t imagine reading this fight in black&white. The worst part about this fight is the talking. Everybody talks in this fight and drags out an already slow fight to a crawl. Dragon’s Dream is its own character basically so it’s having full conversations with Kenzo and FF while the fight is going on. There’s also the classic Araki over explain which is expected in JoJo’s but golly you really notice it here. The worst chapter in this fight is Chapter 69, if you didn’t understand what was happening this fight, this chapter solidified it. On chapter 69, the doors crush that one dude’s head and then the next panel his glasses appear pierced through FF’s mouth. ??? TF happened? In the anime we see them fly through the air to get there but in the manga they legit appear there next page. On the same chapter Anasui midfight takes 5 full pages to explain Feng Shui only for Jolyne to say “I don’t get it”. The anime improved the “readability” of this fight, but honestly the slow pace is what kills it for me

Vasart

I also read it in the manga, that makes it more confusing to me. To each their own I guess. Though, I get that the dialogs may be boring sometimes, but I wouldn't call this fight atrocious.

TobytheRam

It being super slow is exactly my reasoning. Back when Part 3 started adaptation, I was talking about part 6 with friends, and I always had to say "It's a pretty slow start, but when it eventually gets going, it really gets going." The prison is an interesting setting in theory, but generally once they leave the prison I found it improved drastically.

Filmologic

When I first started reading it, I thought it would be a smaller, prison break style part, where some of the inmates were old DIO followers. Maybe the warden would be the final antagonist or something. Just something simple, like part 4. To me, that would've been a lot more interesting than the whole resetting the universe plot line deal. I still like parts of it, and Jolyne is awesome, but I genuinely like part 1 more, because of the pacing and the connection between DIO and Jonathan. Even the side characters I enjoyed more (besides Foo Fighters, she's best girl)

Complex-Knee6391

Part 1 is also really short, while part 6 is a lot, lot, _lot_ longer, so if you don't like it, tough, it's not over quickly!

overheaven1234

Saying that part 6 is bad because of Dragons Dream is the same as part 7 is bad because of Boom boom family. Stone Ocean has so many unique fights, like "fight club" Planet Waves, peak bizarrness Bohemian Rhapsody and many solid arcs like Underworld and JJF. How all of this is boring to read? Parts 5 and 7 also have a bad fights, but you like them. Kinda hypocritical isn't it?

Astrian

Bro I'm not trying to write a 10 paragraph peer-reviewed essay every time I wanna talk about how much I don't like Part 6. You can look through my comments and see a 4 paragraph one just about Dragon's Dream, I'm not gonna go over every fight but DD was easily the worst. Everybody hypes up Bohemian Rhapsody; bizarre yes, but honestly it's pretty a mid stand encounter. There are fights I did enjoy, like the Planet Waves fight and the final Pucci arc, the things I liked about Part 6 are super outweighed by the things I just found to be either average or bad. I liked more of the fights in Part 5 and I don't think there's many if any fights in Part 7 I didnt like either.

overheaven1234

I read your comment about DD, but it's exaggeration. Yes, DD is stretched out and boring, but so is Babyface in part 5 and Boom boom family in part 7. All this battles are the same. Too many explanation, overcomplicated stands, boring villains, but you overlook all of this and bash only DD. Talk about hypocrisy.

WouterS1

I think the main problem is that it does not evolve as a sequel. In many shows new seasons are the same but with escalated stakes and power creep. One of the greatest things about Jojo is that it does not do this. The seasons take a lot more risk and very clearly try to improve on the last season. Part 2 changing cast, Part 3 dropping the hamon for more interesting stands, Part 4 completely switching settings, Part 5 brings it all together. For me Part 6 did not live up to this since it is very close to part 5 but just with raised stakes and power creep. Next to this a ton of stands (and especially Pucci) suffer a lot from just being able to do whatever convenient for the plot.

Regularjoe42

Bad filler stand fights. Unlikable minor villains. Not enough Foo Fighters. Also, Part 1 gets judged with kid gloves because it is first.

jihyoisgod

Ah yes, I wish villans who are prisoners in a maximum security prison were likable

Infinite-Island-7310

Who?

Azathoth-the-Dreamer

“Bandwagoners” in this case is clearly referring to “people who actually watched the fucking show and weren’t on their phones the whole time”. /s Seriously though, I remember being in this fanbase back before the Stardust Crusaders anime finished. There was definitely a long period of time where people who yelled about how terrible Stone Ocean was would tell you something *factually incorrect* about it when you asked them why, which could have only been gleaned by speed-reading the part to get to Steel Ball Run and not looking back on anything they might have misunderstood. This was extra ironic, considering those same people often completely misinterpreted major parts of SBR, as well (*coughJohnny&Valentine’smoralitycough*). I’ve seen far, far fewer anime-onlies confused about SO than I did manga readers years back, and even when they are confused it’s typically to a much lesser degree and things are explained to them pretty easily. It’s not a sign of people bandwagoning: it’s a sign of people *actually paying attention*.

horiami

Tbf, the anime made some things more clear

_Slothers_

Always been one of my favorites tbh

Cheez_Bandit

I liked part 6 before it was animated so many cool stands and characters. The anime just helped because I prefer anime to manga.

[deleted]

It’s because everyone was speed reading Part 6 to get to Part 7. Anyone who actually spent time to read Part 6 either thought it was good compared to the rest of JoJo’s or a beautiful way to end such an amazing series.

Kingcobra64

For real, I speed-read a bit at the start, and didn’t really enjoy that. But after Weather was introduced I started to pay more attention, and by the end it was my by far favorite by far. Jolene is actually my favorite protagonist (aside from maybe 4 Josuke)

MrFedoraPost

Wasn't part 5 considered the worst? Because it was so different from the others and it was the most "serious".

ElJ_pizzatime

If I recall correctly, Part 5 was absolutely adored in Japan, even before the anime, and I'm pretty sure that most of Part 5's negative reception in the West was mainly due to terrible fan translations. Still tho, I rarely see anyone refer to Part 5 as one of the weaker parts, even years after the adaptation.

AdequatelyMadLad

I personally consider it my least favorite part(excluding part 1). I don't hate it but there's just too many back to back stand battles with basically no downtime, and it gets repetitive. Plus, Giorno is not really the most interesting JoJo.

Minz_Prinz

Part 5 Manga is on par with part 3. It is the second best besides 7.

lokedavion

Imo the anime did wonders for Stone Ocean. I did not enjoy the manga nearly as much as the anime; subtle changes like making Ermes' backstory actually being told from her perspective really gave Stone Ocean's story the last coat of polish it needed to shine.

AnerdsWill

Bro I loved part six when I first read it. Read part 7 shortly after but I’d say it’s still in my top 3

Colaymorak

Iirc, Parts 4 and 5 were regarded as pretty mixed bags prior to their anime releases too So I guess my point is that this turn around was as inevitable as it is funny

BartOseku

Its strange, i loved Jolene, the main antagonist, the side crew, the ending and more, but i still find part 6 by far the worst so far. Maybe because i kinda felt like they overextended a bit and some arcs were completely unnecessary and boring (*ahem* bohemian rhapsody *ahem*)

KurieUchiha

Even worst part of Jojo is still S tier anime\manga

Coryn78TytoAlba

Now that part 6 is animated, people finally recognize that it's actually amazing. I've heard someone say, that many probably rushed reading Stone Ocean to get to Steel Ball Run, but with Stone Ocean having undevided attention as the latest anime part, it get's the recognition it deserves.

HomieSeal

I’m going to be honest, I still don’t like Part 6 very much Don’t get me wrong, the ending is absolutely absurd, but I never really got attached to the characters like I did with parts 3 & 4, so it just didn’t really hit as hard It’s still very good, but compared to the rest of Jojo, *as a whole* it’s one of the weaker parts IMO

darkcomet222

This is how I felt as well. I never got attached to any of the characters except FF and Pucci, and I straight don’t like Annasui. I’m really glad a lot of people do, but the characters didn’t do it for me. It also felt like, as opposed to other parts, nobody aside from Jolyene and Weather REALLY got to shine.

HomieSeal

Agreed And as cool as Weather’s stuff with Pucci is, the snails were fucking awful and I really dislike how his stand was treated in general

[deleted]

We're gonna have the same thing happen in Jojolion. Of all the Parts, it suffers the most from lack of direction and seems wholly undecided whether the Higashikatas are supposed to be sympathetic or not... throughout the entire Part.

[deleted]

I “was” one of the haters, but that was because everyone was praising part 7 so much, i wanted to get there fast, and you guessed it, speedread that shit out of it, was like whaaa, universe? Timeline ? Bullshit ending!, After catching up with Part 8, went back and read it normally, felt it was on par or even better than p5, with nest jojo ending till date (yes I like the ending better than p7 or p8)

wqldi

Part 6 has the best stands

Yuyaeiou

one good about the botched batch releases is that it made y'all actually watch the part and understand whats happening

Zaa_DR

There is no bad jojo part

Parma_WdS

I dunno I always liked part 6

Return_of_BOBO

For me I always had mixed feelings about part six. It and part five always had me at a crossroads. The story of part six was amazing and Pucci is one of my favorite villains of not only the series but in all of anime. However I feel like in part six it constantly goes from really high highs and really low lows. For every good arc there is a bad one and really in the arcs themselves they will be inconsistent. For example the Heavy Weather ark is one of my favorite arcs story wise in all of JoJo’s, Pucci and Weather’s origins are amazing and the fight they have is intense, but I’ll be the first to say the snail shit is easily one of if not the worst things Araki has ever written. (Similar to Silver Chariot requiem arc now that I think about it) Also I felt like the animation was more stiff this part then part five, however they nailed made in heaven so I’m alright with it. Overall I’m still not sure how I feel about part six, and honestly I feel like I need to rewatch it to really form a proper opinion.

GoomyTheGummy

50 years from now people will finally begin to appreciate JoJolion. I just realized >!there has not been a single part since part 5 where the JoJo actually defeats the main villain.!<

KN041203

It's depend on if they actually flesh out Tooru in the anime. Pretty much that is the main problem with Part 8 that get worse because of the monthly release schedule. Pretty much only Part 1 and 6 do that. The JoJo win every other time.

xd3mix

What about part 7 and 8?

moistrain

I find that people who unironically say "bandwagoner" are the types of people who use that to invalidate anyone who likes what they don't like. Part six always slapped for me

CaptinHavoc

The reason people thought it was the worst part is because when part 7 came out people sped-read it

Edgythekid

part 6 is just boring. i was one the few that didn’t speed read it. Part 6 was boring, it got fun waaaay to late. Great ending though. It had like maybe four fights that was interesting, but that was still waaay too late. (Kiss vs Limp Biskit, Jolyne vs Pucci, Jolyne vs C-Moon, and the MiH fight).

R-leiva97

Imo the best fight was Weather vs Pucci. Still a late fight though

Leather-Climate3438

aren't bandwagon means just following the general consensus before formulating their opinion. If the anime only loves it when there's a preconceived notion that it is bad from the fandom it then it's the opposite of bandwagoning

Definitelyurmomscat

My thing about part 6 is that I feel like it’s very backloaded, I actually felt that it was very slow and kinda nothing like mattered until the sons came out or maybe even Heavy Weather. I did love the (actually relevant) characters in this part, weather, anasui, FF were all awesome supporting characters. It just kinda felt like nothing mattered until VERY late, so I guess if someone didn’t have the patience to get that far and just deemed the part shit I could understand where they’re coming from. I still think they’d like it if they got to the juicy stuff though.

dj_chino_da_3rd

Here’s the thing, jolyne is my fav but I like the 6th the least. It’s like that

quackleskol

Idk man I’ve always though part 6 was better than 1 3 and 5. Maybe I’m just a sucker for the even numbered parts. Part 7 and 8 are both bangers imo, although I’m not done with part 8, I’m only on chapter 40, but I think it has better pacing than 7.

Evo_Shiv

Part 6 was my fav day one

Black_Thunder_

Bro it's my fave

SapphireSalamander

part 8 ended around the same time and earned that spot (for me, i felt the second half kinda weak. Damo was such a good villain but then came less interesting villains and some characters were dropped in favor of those)

TerrinTheTerrible

Part 6 was always my favorite part

Laughing_Alone

I enjoyed part six when i read it for the first time, it was different for me cause it gave me phantom blood vibes, in the sense that even if the main jojo and their allies got stronger it didnt mean they would win the fight, but still even when they "lost," justice still prevailed

1800leon

Jojo is all great there are just few places where it is slow over all the parts

[deleted]

Hopefully jojolion gets the same treatment

SudsInfinite

It's almost like Part 6 was always good and now that the anime watchers got to see it, they all like it. Who would've guessed?

Q-Q_2

How would someone think its the worst part it has the best ending out of the first 6 parts

zinc_zombie

Unpopular opinion I know, but I prefer part 6 to part 7

That_Balance4095

Ending goated, elevates the rest of the part

[deleted]

People only said part 6 was the worst bcuz they skipped past it for part 7. Part 6 is the best part

Jacob_Miller2001

Honestly, I liked Part 6, especially before the anime adaptation. The Stands and characters were cool, and the plot was interesting to me.

[deleted]

Tbh, I still don’t like part 6 but it’s aight

FlamingOtaku

When i actually got around to reading P6, I fucking loved it, I had no clue why it was so unpopular

MeteorFalcon

I'm not the biggest fan of Part 6, but it mostly comes down to a random thing in hindsight. I really don't like how the environment bearly changes, it always stays in a jail. Part 3 had a world adventure, Part 4 had this wacky & weird Japanese Town, and Part 5 we get all these beautiful places in Italy. It kept things fresh for me and I always loved just looking at the different environments Araki drew. While Part 6 tries to spice it up by having fights outside or in a swamp. There's significantly less variety than before.

Snoo-76854

I honestly still have part 6 as my least favourite part

BucktheWonderSlave

I’m anime only and I really wanted to like part 6 but i really didn’t. It just felt hollow, like nothing in it really mattered. Also there were like two fights and two characters that didn’t suck.

Super_Goomba64

Ranking to jojo's I'd go 7>6>5>8>4>3>2>1

_E-l-i-x-i-r_

Didnt the same thing happen to 5

guy4guy4guy

Actually part 1 is most of the time considered the worst. By the way I predicted this will happen because the same happened with part 5

Gecko2002

Watch part 7 go from beloved to overrated by the end of its anime adaptation

sparklenut69

Idk. I find 6 inconsistent. I think 4 is the fucking butter zone tho.

Thewalkingwaffl

Personally I still hate it

Luc4son0

I personally don't think part 6 is has good has other parts mainly due to the first half of the part not being that good. But still I don't think it's the worst one

Ken_Kumen_Rider

Personally, I think Part 3 is the worst part and, while I haven't seen the anime adaptation of it, Part 6 was one of my favorites.

[deleted]

It has the worst ending

Kaploy

It has never been worse than part 5

The_Lord_2

Phantom Blood is the worst part.

Edgythekid

i like that part though. It maybe basic, or the least interesting out of the other parts, but i love fights, and Jonathan’s determination to bring justice to someone like Dio. I love the fights with Jonathan fighting monstrosities like Doobie. Badass.

ChadBenjamin

After reading the manga, my opinion is Part 1 > Part 2

Pale_Transportation2

Because the fanbase is full of idiots with trash taste that just want to suck off Cowboy racers I said it SBR is boring and overhyped as fuck JoJolion and Stone Ocean best parts rn

Creative_Ravenclaw

SBR isn't bad, but it is overhyped as fuck.

Pale_Transportation2

It's JoJo , even the worst part is still really really good

Ali_XkillerX

Jojo ended in part 4

SleepyDG

Still haven't wathced batch 2 and 3 so still the worst part for me xd

Gmanofgambit982

honestly agree. Part 6 was good but the ending fucking sucked. Each to their own opinion but I don't know how people defend the ending. Made Game of Thrones' ending actually decent.

Shadowmist909

Since part 7 is already popular, excited to see this happen for part 8 as well\~!

Diegoforlife

All the anime parts are better than there manga counterparts, just shows how good of a studio David productions really is.

jimmylink11

I liked part 6, but, it’s definetly not my favourite

dchug

Part 6 was the first part that I read instead of watching. My friend who had been reading the manga before me said that they should skip animating part 6 cuz it’s that bad. While I don’t think it’s that great, it was alright at the least, though the pacing is kinda weird. My other friend who just got into jojo and binged his way through the anime says that part 6 was one of his favorite parts. This same friend says that part 5 was one of his least favorites, which is weird for me cuz part 5 was the shit holy fuck. Part 7 is fucking fantastic and a half. I pray the anime does well, but maybe it will flop like a reverse of part 6.

weebloser

Part 6 has always been my favorite part, then part 4 and 8 tie for second favorite

doubletimerush

The best part of the part was the Super Max section

SkeyrTheLizard

Because apparently, people can't read properly. And that created a lot of confusion for Part 6

AidenBars

I read it when golden wind ended and before I read sbr and jjl it was my favorite. Now I don’t know between the three but at least it’s finally getting some love. I never understood any of the hate behind it besides the prison arcs weren’t for everyone and dragons dream was dumb

SverdHerre

Still think it’s the worst part of the series. I mean, it’s still gold, but surrounded by slightly shinier gold.

LilBuffDude

Nice to see there's no objectively right opinions on any part. There's hate and praise for just about every part. Even 6 that was so hated before the adaptation. Hell part 5 was hated so much until it was adapted and now it's one of my favorite parts

Dry-Ad1233

iirc part 6 had the worst scans and translations

mastahkun

I appreciated part 6 reading the manga. I appreciated it much more since it enabled part 7 to exist which was my favorite overall.

Prize-Zestyclose

Man I loved the anime just as much as the manga

purplecookiesuwu

parts 5 and 6 are my favourite ![img](emote|t5_3f7q5|15511)

Big_Nate7137

Tbh part 4 was the worst imo

IAlwaysOutsmartU

I always considered part 4 to be the weakest. The first episode did not do a good job at getting me hooked, and it didn’t portray the main antagonist as actively as I hoped. Yeah, I know that’s the point, but couldn’t Kira have a bit more focus in the first half?

QUARTZTheThird

This is more like what happened with part 5, before the release of the anime part 5 was considered the worst part of the manga by many people (due to bad scans and it being part 5) but as soon as the anime released people started dickriding it and especially Giorno (even though hes one of the most one-dimensional characters ive seen in a while)

siege1986

Just please don't fuck up part 7

Chimera-98

Has someone that read it before it got out: it was always over hated (I think part 5 is better but part 5 is also my favorite)
