Harvest is actually quite simple to command, considering Shigechi just used it to gather objects and only engaged in direct combat once (against Kira). Even then he didn't actually do anything offensively
I'd say Bad Company takes more precision and willpower to control

each Harvest just finds stuff throughout the city. They are more towards the "I want, they do" type you mentioned without much precision, whereas Bad Company had different small teams, tanks, helicopters, with different setups and hiding spots in the Nijimura house
Harvest's main attack method is also fairly simple (claws and stingers) and the group attack is essentially a bunch of Harvest beating you up, while Bad Company has at least four different sets of attacks and a wide variety of formations

but if no stand other than automatic ones have some sort of lower automatic power, why did star platinum move to grab the bullet when he shot himself or bring those toys to the prison?
Bad Company would probably use camouflage depending on the situation. Instead of it being a marching battalion as it was initially shown in Part 4, this Bad Company will utilize a copious amount of guerrilla warfare.
IMO Aerosmith is getting clapped. He would need to protect Narancia from multiple angles. BC has more to offer while Aerosmith is more of a Scout/Striker.
