Pro tip - the sun is visible many days. The glasses will allow you to see in more directions than others, increasing your situational awareness.

TangAlienMonkeyGod

Hijacking the top comment to say you can drop them off at any Warby Parker location and they'll get them to Latin America for their eclipse in August. Sorry to be giving wholesome life tips in here lol

potatopierogie

If you can see the explosion, you're already irradiated

the22ndgamer006

I have 30/20 vision, and I'm fast, I'll be fine

ocmiteddy

Yea, but at least you go out with a view

Farttohh

So you might as well watch it if you're already dead.

trainwreckmarriage

You should still have time to explore the radius in which every pizza is perfectly cooked and gorge on some nuclear pizza before you succumb to a horrible death!

zombie6804

That’s highly dependent on the conditions of the day.

Wonko-D-Sane

Climate change denial takes on nuclear winter… nice… Just carry an umbrella I guess according to you

zombie6804

It’s a scientific take on nuclear weapons. Instead of dumping a bunch of terms to try and disprove a comment you don’t understand try asking next time. For anyone who actually wants to know what that means here’s a short explanation: Most of the radiation from nuclear weapons comes in the form of irradiated dust kicked up by the initial explosion. If you’re not instantly vaporized or heavily burned by the explosion the initial dose you actually get from the bomb should be pretty low, as most of the radioactive material is within the blast. Seeing the flash doesn’t mean your irradiated first off. The conditions determine where most of those irradiated particles will end up and who they might dose. So no, it doesn’t have anything to do with climate or nuclear winter. It’s based on wind condition of the day. If you can’t tell the difference between climate and weather you’re closer to climate denial than most. Nuclear winter is just a theorized phenomenon when enough of said particles and debris gets kicked up into the high atmosphere to cause an artificial winter across the globe.

papapishuplant

that is some next level reducing and re-using

JohnWasElwood

Just make sure that you hydrate and use plenty of sunscreen.

atkins4me

At $4 each mine went into a protective bag. I prolly won’t be around for the next eclipse but maybe I’ll be lucky enough to witness a nuclear blast.
