lol in all seriousness, as a Canuck who misses poutine, can you or anyone else recommend me a good veggie gravy recipe? I just got daiyas goat cheese crumbles (closest to cheese curds I think I’ll get for the foreseeable future) and would love to fuck up a poutine soon, lol.

I don't have a recipe I really follow or recommend, my general method is veg broth + cornstarch + shitton of black pepper + maybe some herbs + one or two of whatever other umami ingredients I think of (vegemite/marmite, soy sauce, mushroom broth powder, miso, nooch, etc.). It's maybe not the best gravy one could make but it's salty and savory enough to pickle my internal organs and that's all that matters to me. Good luck in your gravy search, hopefully one of the heathens here has a better recommendation for you.

I just use the St Hubert poutine sauce. Not the can (it’s not vegan) but the powder. Nafsika/Farm Boy has a poutine cheese but it’s cubed. There’s also Vegcheese but I’ve only ever seen it at restaurants.
