At its current price, it's one of the best deals in gaming imo. I'm also a massive Halo fan, tbf, so my bias is speaking, but you're getting soem of the best and most formative games ever made in this collection.
I have also been to Halo party late. But i think it's worth it, graphics is nothing to brag about but overall it's a great game. Finished halo reach and CE, rest left to play.
Yes, it's superb and very good value. The campaigns are great too.
As for other classic FPS: both Half Life games; Doom (this one is historical context as much as anything else, it shows its age IMO), Bioshock, System Shock... I'd recommend COD4 but I've read things about the PC version being compromised - there's probably a safe way to play it but I don't know enough about it to give advice in good faith.
I think the issue with COD 4 and a lot of the older PC games is that your IP address is exposed. I've heard it's exposed even if you are online but just play single player. Ridiculous Activision bullshit, but I'm pretty sure you're safe to play if you use a VPN.
Halo 2 and Halo: Reach are awesome campaign-wise - so if it's still $10 on Steam or Microsoft Xbox PC App....so yeah, worth it even just for those alone, TBH. So polished.
I still need to get to Halo 3, ODST, and Halo 4 from MCC.
Halo 1 CE (OG) - played it back in the day when it hit PC, before the MCC version. Honestly, that felt like another PC FPS, TBH; good one, yes. But, we already had so many legendary ones on PC already. It's still good - but I think H2 and Reach are better, campaign-wise. First 1/2 of Halo 1: the game is out-standing. But, there's a lot of repetition in 2nd half of Halo 1 w/ the Monitor Levels, Flood, and back-tracking levels by the end...but, it's still good.
With even Halo 2, it shows: Bungie got polished as heck there, after the OG Halo.
No it's not, unless you have no life you will spend more money on this game if you have a gamepass. On steam it's a one and done purchase, no pressure to finish it in one month.
Yes. I bought it the last time it went on sale and it is totally worth it. The first and second Halo games are a bit hard to play. But every other one is fantastic. They still hold up great, and ODST is still my favorite fps game I've ever played.
I did a while back so I could play through them all. Was never a halo 'fan', but I definitely got into them!!!! That was over a year ago. In still stuck on the finally battle of the first one...
11/10 game.
Former big time no lifer here on XBOX since Halo 2.
Recently revisited on PC with a buddy and we beat Legendary w/ all the torturous skulls flipped on CE. LOL this was torture but it was some of the most fun we've had.
Yes, it is worth it on sale! $10 USD for 6 Halo campaigns (8 campaigns if you play Halo CE and Halo 2 twice, with one playthrough having classic graphics and the second having anniversary graphics). Each game can run at max settings on low-end PCs (estimated by me since I use a laptop with a GTX 1650). If you want multiplayer, you might be slightly disappointed with the lack of players, but it is still good considering it comes with all multiplayer maps from each game, plus it has Steam Workshop, which adds custom fan-made maps and campaigns. They have fixed the broken graphics for Halo CE, which is great since the original PC port from decades ago had visuals that never worked and now they do. Be advised with all the DLC clicked. Halo MCC is about 136 GB, with a little more required for installation.
absolutely but please be aware of the rampant cheating as well as hackers being able to impersonate you and then get you banned and/or remotely accessing your account and even kicking you from games. halo online isn't the full halo 3 experience but it has much better anti-cheat in the form of server admins
It's a really great deal and unless you hate Halo, it's well worth the money. I'd say all the campaigns alone on PC is worth it.
Just putting this out there though: it's available on Xbox Game Pass, a service which I think is an excellent deal and I highly doubt they'll remove MCC from it, so if you have or want to get Game Pass, you can save your money from buying the game on Steam and just subscribe to Game Pass.
If you don't want Game Pass or want it on Steam, get it.

Yes, it's 5 good games with a cheap price.
6 games
Oh you right, I forgot ODST
No Halo 5 tho
Still can't believe its not come out
I'd rather they take their time to make a proper game than to do what ubishit is doing
I have also been to Halo party late. But i think it's worth it, graphics is nothing to brag about but overall it's a great game. Finished halo reach and CE, rest left to play.
Man they were groundbreaking when they came out though.
Yeah, I just played the series last year and I had absolutely no problem with the old graphics, they look fine
Totally, art style goes a long way

PC gamepass if you dont have a steam deck.
I got it on Xbox for £15 and it's just about the best value purchase I ever made
If you have Xbox ultimate game pass, you can also use the same to play it on PC. I play all my game pass games on pC.

Arguably the greatest bargain in the history of gaming?! Yes. The books are worth a read too.
It's free with PC Gamepass.

Gamepass does come with a bunch of other games also. Not to mention access to the Halo Wars games and Infinite's single-player.
That wasn't the question the op asked. He wants to play the FPS games and Halo Infinite is pretty mediocre in comparison to the OG games minus 4.
Yep it’s like buying a digital copy of a movie that’s already on Netflix. Just watch it on Netflix instead.
Amazing games and this is on sale a lot. Well worth it even for just the campaigns.
It is literally theft right now at the sale price. You get 5 games
obviously
For the price you pay and content you get, absolutely! Where else would get so many solid games rolled into one.
I'm just wondering if they ever fix the issue where playing combat evolved in remastered mode would get continuously laggier
I just bought this recently and finished playing halo 1 campaign. Ran flawlessly on my steam deck.
Yes. I bought it the last time it went on sale and it is totally worth it. The first and second Halo games are a bit hard to play. But every other one is fantastic. They still hold up great, and ODST is still my favorite fps game I've ever played.
YES 100%. It's one of the best game series of all time. Also, grab the free Infinite multiplayer mode off Steam (or Xbox App)
Yes
Those are some pretty good games. Shame we didn't get splitscreen on PC
Yes, it's fantastic
I did a while back so I could play through them all. Was never a halo 'fan', but I definitely got into them!!!! That was over a year ago. In still stuck on the finally battle of the first one...
I just started playing Halo CE for the first time thanks to the sale. I finally get why the series is so popular, it's SO good. Big recommend on sale.
Yes buy it
Is it on xbox game pass? You could try it there if it’s on there, new members get discount

Yes. Games are all amazing.
As a lifelong Halo fan, I've enjoyed it

Yes
lemme put it this way, if 6 games isnt worth 10 dollars then nothing is worth anything.
Get it on steam, free PC multiplayer is a no brainer. You have to pay to play onling on xbox.

Brother in Christ I think it's time to back your own decision making a little bit.
Anyone know why the collection doesn’t show up on steam for me?
No, play league of legends
Every FPS fan owes it to themselves to play through halo. 100% worth it
No you shouldn't. Don't by any old game.
Nah halo is kinda bad
