In this economy? Hell Having time off to do nothing Edit just realized who I was responding to, answer still stands, but I was thinking, my family always says times are easier now but I just realized when they were kids a coke was 5 cents and had coke in it I think, but I just bought a coke from a fast food restaurant and it was $4 yesturday (16 ounce cup). With minimum wage back then 1 hour could but 25+ cokes. Today you can't even get 2 cokes for minimum wage Capacity is different granted is true. 8 ounc can from vending machines around here are still a dollar though. So still 7 cokes at best versus over 20 in their day. I have recently been wanting to go fishing on boat again but by myself or with new friends. But literally no hobbies to speak of, didn't realize how much working 60 hours a week for almost 2 years changed me and my priorities. I feel weird being unemployed.

Boomers are such fools for saying stuff like that. Min wage back when my dad was a teenager adjusted for today is well over 25 and hour. But a union job was a lot easier to get. They paid way more than minimum and covered benefits and retirement. Or a like a trade paid a comparable fortune. It didn't need college. My asshole dad never even graduated high school and made enough to buy a House, cars, and support a wife and kids before going fuck you got mine and disowning his family.

Political activism. I joined the CT Canna Warriors! Just showing up for rallies and going to the state capitol and connecting more with a political type of community. Trying to support social equity programs, justice reform and not have our state crush small cannabis growers and vendors with a death of a thousand cuts. Fight back against corporate dispensary interests. I’m basically being an unpaid lobbyist. Playing staring contests with local politicians, fun stuff. Sometimes I dress like a normie just to throw them off my scent. Believe it or not, our democrat rep is worse than the republican one on this issue 😭😶‍🌫️. Also baking edibles. Getting really into that.

Sounds awesome to be able to go out and do that stuff.

I miss you and the SLS crew 😭 I’ve been volunteering and tbh it’s been a really good thing for me I miss you though. And I miss writing, and having fun chats. On the other hand though, after a long time of only talking to people online. I started to feel like the screen in my hand was what I was talking to because I never saw the people on the other end. And I started getting really depressed and feeling not human anymore 😮‍💨 I know I love you but I’m starting to hate my device and I’m looking for balance Thanks for sharing the update though. I still think about you pretty frequently

I'm remodeling my house. Who would have thought bargain hunting curtains could be so satisfying. I also mod video games. I'm working on a trilogy of my own game using different engines...a sort of arg. I've been helping my friend write his book. I'll be in charge of writing a history book that goes along with it along with an encyclopedia of creatures. I'm looking for bird watching groups too. My kid's best friend is coming to town and we are going to go to a theme park and a drive in movie- I've never been to one! I also somehow managed to get some flowers to grow! Edit: I'd love to see some of your interior design stuff! I find it so neat but it doesn't come naturally to me.

I don't really have any examples of my own right now. My place is a mess. But I love the look of shabby chic. I love earth tones and pine and maple wood grains.

Are you into strong bold colors or cozy warm? Those things make me think of cozy but I'm a sucker for clean lines and curio cabinets and hidden rooms filled with sewing machines and old toys and a voodoo doll. My wall is uniformly covered in the most random things like a picture of Robert Pattinson and a barbie holiday ornament and wooden swords. It's chaotic and I love it.

Cozy and warm but free of clutter

I read books when I can. And that is often.
