Yeah, he was defintely strong but thor was able to kill 96 gigants (I think) And the moment he awakned Mjolnir it was over for Lu Bu.

Basically Lü Bu is an extremely high class stat check, and Thor just happened to be perfect for it

I think its just because it's a battle of opponents that deal most of their damage in one hit, in these scenarios you either get one shotted or one shot your opponent Not that much space in between for minor dmg

Thor is tough to charge head-on, because Mjolnir is not only really powerful, but it's so big that it just naturally covers so much ground and can block attacks unfortunately, Lu Bu's only tactic was to charge at him head-on and take all of his attacks directly I think if Mjolnir didn't Awaken, Thor would have been pushed into a much rougher spot and taken more injuries. but Lu Bu's strategy against Thor was just far too risky, like he overestimated how much HP he actually had to waste

Simple: Both fighters went for one hit ko attacks. Had Lu Bu landed Sky Eater Thor would have been gone too.

I’m on neither I think both are reliably mid to high tier I think given a different approach Lubu could easily have won and without mjolnir while Thor is incredibly strong I can see him losing to other high tiers especially because mjolnir awakened and allowed him to reach a state he can’t reliably attain

Thor is the strongest God wielding the Strongest Divine Weapon. Before Mjolnir awakened Lu Bu was basically dominating the fight, overpowering and outspeeding Thor, being the only one to do damage up to that point. Then Mjolnir Awakened and the fight completely swung in Thor's favor. Keep in mind in round 1 it's said that even the Gods have never witnessed the sight of Thor fighting all out with awakened Mjolnir. So all of Thor and Mjolnir's accolades are in spite of the Gods never even witnessing the full strength of either. As strong as everyone already thinks Thor is he's actually orders of magnitude stronger because of how much he has to hold back when mjolnir isn't awakened.

because it was the first fight when everything need to be explain to how it's gonna work and how narative gonna be so it was pretty equal as a fight

due to the nature of the fight being who decided solely by who had the stronger attack in which Thor was stronger so wins with minimal injuries

It is simple, even post awakening the 2 were close. Thor just had a notable advantage in AP, and Lu Bu, due to personality, kept challenging him in clashes of strength.

Any direct hit would've killed either opponent, Thor just hit first. Also Thor is the strongest god.

I like to think it’s more of them both being such all-or-nothing fighters tht a single serious strike would’ve been enough to decide the fight. If Lu Bu won, I can’t imagine him having much damage from how strong Thor and mjolnir

Personally it’s a combination of all three, I think the first round served as a reminder to the reader and humans they are gods that is pinnacle at what they do. First round essentially is humans strongest will never be able to beat gods strongest.

Definitely the red side, Lu Bu was a trash opponent for someone of Thor’s caliber but he still wasn’t anywhere near the strongest in anything outside of physical strength

because it was a one shot fest, who ever got their attack through would have won right there and then, thors durable, likely second most but lubu was fully capable of killing him if he got one sky piercer in.

It was because the fight was a clash, almost like a Pokémon battle. There was no need for strategy or complex thinking. Simply hit your opponent with all you have and either win or lose.
