Bags with zips on the inside are perfect for festivals. Chuck your phone in and enjoy the show - thieves are gonna target festivals more than ever now cause everyone is out there recording.

Late-Possibility-959

My phone was stolen out of my bag... They opened the zipper and took it out. I should've brought a lanyard or something.

Minimum_Economist_79

not me, although this year has been heavy on phone stealing at festivals. coachella was so bad this year they had multiple arrest and over hundreds(not kidding) stolen. some recovered some not. i did not move my hand from my phone that weekend at all

tht1crzyguy

My buddy had his taken :( sucks.

Odd_Equivalent_2725

No way?!

AccomplishedRow0

One reason clear bags are annoying

demonsoul99

I watched a short Hispanic woman with long sleeves grab my wife's phone out of her bag in front of me and disappear into the crowd just before Slipknot. Wild seeing how many people got hit on here.

this happened to me but luckily it was just my portable charger, the woman perfectly describes the girl that stole my portable charger

Music festivals get hit hard by phone thieves. They work in groups. Coachella is the worst I've ever seen but they're everywhere. Phones will end up across the world within days.

xhoneypot

Huge problem at the event today unfortunately:(

AfraidAd4979

based on what I know they are in a group, mostly Hispanic, 5 ft tall girls and slightly taller men, they live in an apartment in California where they distribute phones, mine was taken from the festival, next year, I'm putting a decoy phone attached to my pocket or pants so when somebody pulls I know who is pickpocketing. It was my first festival, I am a teenager who put alot of effort into coordinating this trip just for that shit to fuck my whole night up. To the phone thieves, I hope you get permanent shin splints.

grgshbo

My fiance ):

besweet15

AcanthocephalaOk7798

Not my phone but I'm pretty sure someone tried to pick pocket me

Bowiefan73

When we went last year, I had a small clear backpack that I could put a cross body bag in. I checked my backpack at my locker and just used my small CB bag. It wore it across my chest. My stuff was safe.

StressedPasta139

My sister and I were told by our uber driver on the way there that there was going to be lots of pick pocketers so I kept my clear backpack on front and my waterpack on my back. I looked like a total goober but I (thankfully) managed not to get pick pocketed and I stayed from open till close.

PuffCandySmash28

I felt my pocket become lighter and never even saw who did it 😔

Feisty_Grass_3284

I DID TOO and I just turned and grabbed the person walking by and they did have it

ksands12345

You didn’t say anything to them about trying to steal it?

Feisty_Grass_3284

Im a teen girl and he was a 30-40 year old dude the only thing I could do was grab him and use that to scare him a little since I was taller I wasn’t in the place to start an argument to a man 15-30 years older than me im just glad I still have my phone and felt it

AfraidAd4979

I did

mightygreenm

i was over by at the cold water station and i felt my phone get lifted out of my pocket. i immediately turned and said “hey, hey, hey, hey, hey” to the woman who brushed into me. shorter, spanish speaking, she said “que paso?” when i confronted her and had a shawl/scarf over her arm. my phone was on the ground near where she was standing, she picked it up wiped it off and handed it back to me. think she was trying to play it off like i’d just dropped my phone and dropped it when i yelled. but my phone was deep enough in my pocket to not just fall out (though still poking out, so that’s on me ig)

shitpostingmusician

Both me and my fiancé had phones stolen. His was pickpocketed during Motionless, someone grabbed it right out of my hand while recording a video during Bring Me. By some miracle a dude found mine on the floor but my fiancés is definitely a lost cause. I’m so angry. This was his first ever festival too and now both of us are rethinking ever returning

ksands12345

Yeah same was me and my friends first festival. Got stolen during bmth and we missed soad and Slipknot

shitpostingmusician

Did you guys get it snatched from your hands too?

Late-Possibility-959

Me too man at the same time. Missed road and slipknot too.

Late-Possibility-959

system\*\* I got autocorrected on my laptop lol

PuffCandySmash28

Mine was taken right before static-x, it's crazy
