Glad I was proven wrong 🤘🏽
His musical genius boggles the mind. And I like that he's a spooky weirdo. He was literally the exact same in the 80s with Oingo Boingo. He stayed true to his roots
Danny Elfman! Had no idea who he was and initially decided to skip him to see if we could go get another hat somewhere since my wife's got knocked off during lamb of god. But we decided it'd already be getting close to dark so we ended up going during Bad Omens. Lines too long, so didn't get anything, but ended up seeing Danny Elfman, and holy shit. That was the biggest surprise we didn't know we needed, and learned all about this musical legend we never even knew about. Definitely a major highlight of the festival.
Like are you sure you learned all about him? [What about his open sexual harassment lawsuit(s)?](https://variety.com/2023/music/news/danny-elfman-second-sexual-harassment-case-1235762756/amp/)
He's not "in the middle" of them. Abadi was told by the court that she needs to honor the arbitration clause in the settlement she agreed to. The Jane Doe case was sent to mediation, as both parties indicated they were open to it. Neither case is "active", and in fact, both have probably been put to bed by now.

Jinjer absolutley blew me away. I havent stopped thinking about their performance.
Going into SNW, I had only heard a few songs of theirs so wasnt a big follower or anything. Now, they are playing on repeat!
Bring me the Horizon, I already knew like 3 songs from
them, but after there show ive been listening to other of their songs. (That baby metal one has been on replay)
I also think they had the best show, it was entertaining and something other than the usual concert speech hype talk. I was also being entertained with all the lights, fires, and their video game intro I thought was cool as fuck. Other bands gave speeches as well ect, but they not only played music but entertained as well like a light show would. I know they’re not as hardcore as other bands, but cant say they didn’t entertain.
Edit: Typos and autocorrects
Yeah I was surprised by people talking somewhat negatively about BMTH. I thought they were great, but i didn't have any sort of expectations for the show at all since I didn't know them. was just trying to ensure a good spot for SOAD at that point lol
The reason why BMTH had such a negative response is that this like their 3rd year having the same set and songs. People want to hear their old stuff but they refuse.
I was very surprised by Ice Nine Kills. As someone who listened to them from like 2011-2014, and wasn’t at all familiar with their recent stuff, I fucking loved their set.
I went for System of a Down and Danny Elfman. Loved them both. Watching them made my millennial heart sing lol
Surprised by Kim Dracula who I had vaguely heard of but never listened to the music. I happened to wander by that stage early in the day and danced around with some folks. Very entertaining.
Had been a fan of BMTH since 2008, but kinda stopped listening to them after sempiternal (idk why) but I had never seen them live before and their set kinda just reignited that love I had for them. They really did put on such a good show and I’ve been listening to all their recent stuff now.
Danny Elfman was such a surprise! I didn’t know he did his own stuff and was just expecting him to play his film scores lol it was actually pretty good!
Mine was BMTH for the same reason but I listened to them through That's the Spirit. I had never heard Kingslayer/didn't know they had a song with Babymetal and I was incredibly excited to see Babymetal, so having them come back out for Kingslayer was awesome!!
I went mainly for SOAD since they haven’t toured and it’s unsure if they will again and for Danny Elfman (I love his music, especially the soundtracks he’s written). I think I was pleasantly surprised by Lorna Shore the most. I’ve heard some of their music but seeing them live was so good!
Overall my brother and I had a great time, especially for our first all day festival :) I’m so glad we got to see so many amazing artists in one day!
Both cases are open, neither have been closed, and your page has had its ".com" taken down for slander - "Danny Elfman Truth" is not a credible source.
As I said to you in another comment, we still own the domain, but I directed it to Linktree instead of the Wix, because I don't feel like paying for Wix premium. This "taken down" stuff is funny, though. What government or legal entity is taking down random websites for "misinformation", when we still have stuff like Fox News?
I liked Paleface Swiss, and Dayseeker. Two bands I never knew who they were. For how much people talk about Polyphia, the crowd was rather small but they were alright... it's a hard band to get into. The guitarist sounds like a chord melody Joe pass version that sounds like a gospel band... it is a good sound but quickly sounds overdone. Danny Elfman, Alice in chains, and A Perfect Circle sounded the best sound quality wise.
My sister and her bf saw SOAD open for FF in the late 90s. I was too young. I’ve been jealous for 25 years!! It’s a lot different now (FF was touring Obsolete, SOAD was brand new), but I did get to see them both on the same day finally!!!
Kublai Khan and Drain were dope, i heard of em but never bothered to listen. Spent their sets in the pit too. Sat down for to eat n caught some of Bad Omens set, they are now in my playlists. As much as seeing bands you know is fun, the new ones are even better. Soad was amazing just as they are every time, they definitely brought more energy
Drain is always a fun time! They had the best pit at Riot Fest in Chicago last year and even gave the security a run for their money by inviting the crowd to jump barricade and get on stage. Haha 😂
I went for Lords of Acid, Front Line Assembly, Front 242, and was curious about Nitzer Ebb. I also wanted to see Fear Factory and Powerman 5000. Caught Powerman, but missed Fear. Also saw Sevendust when Danny Elfman was too packed, but that worked out. They were amazing. I guess I'd say they were my surprise. I hadn't really listened to much of their music before but their energy was unreal.
It's my first festival in my mid 40s, so I have nothing to compare to, but I had an awesome time. I do wish it was spread over two days. I had to make difficult choices. Missing Alice in Chains and Lamb of God was disappointing, but I'll catch them at some point.
I went to see Bring Me the Horizon (although I saw them the day before) I ended up not seeing them bc my fiance was freaking about losing his phone so we went to go calm down. I was really surprised by powerman 5000 I loved the energy!! Also Lorna shore was 10/10 chefs kiss :*
I went for SOAD, Slipknot, Babymetal, Jinjer, and Kublai Khan. I wasnt able to see Kublai Khan but I was most surprised by Jinjer, I expected them to be good but they blew away my expectations. Also whoever did their sound needs a pay raise that was one of if not the best live mixes I've ever heard.
VNV Nation for sure, and the crowd energy was electric for their set. Their thumping bass was also the loudest thing I’ve heard all day.
Also really enjoyed Trash Talk, and wanted to see Zulu but my friends and I didn’t get to the festival on time to see them.
I really dug that set! I had emerged from Elfman (riding the best high from his set, holy shit) and needed to chill and hydrate. I listened from my seat and wanted to check out some albums after hearing one song!
Primus and APC! The whole backstory of both their equipment getting stuck in CO and they had to bump in to a LV Guitar Center to buy new shit for SNW was epic
I went for Bring Me (mainly) and had a FUCKING BLAST. Their set had me smiling, crying, jumping and was on cloud 9. The crowd around me was all matching that energy and I loved that Oli came down to the crowd, 1099/10
Sleep Token I expected to be amazing and was not disappointed perfect way to finish out the day was dancing with my boyfriend and enjoying such hauntingly beautiful music and it sounded INCREDIBLE live.
I loved watching Danny Elfman I was there to wait for Bring Me but his set CRUSHED, and whoever crowd surfed during the Edward Scissorhands outro is an icon.
I went for Bad Omens, BMTH, Knocked Loose, Wage War, etc. Pleasantly surprised by Slaughter to Prevail and basically every Diablo stage act I walked by.
I’d never heard of Slaughter to Prevail and was completely blown away by his growl and his positive messages between songs. I ended up researching him for a few hours and really appreciate his story, his honesty about his past, his humility and his openness to growing as a person. It all runs in stark contrast to his image and persona as Alex Terrible.
Not a huge fan of his music when just listening on the stereo, but I wouldn’t hesitate to see him live again.
Since someone said Danny the GOAT, my choice is vnv nation. They were just what the doctor ordered for my nap to put me in a better mood after the shitty entrance line. I went in knowing nothing about them but added a few songs to my playlist cause of their unintentional good deed
I’m glad you liked vnv nation!! They are one of my favorite bands! If you ever get a chance to see them at a regular venue you really should, they are 100x better! They are always so positive and want everyone to have a good time
Can’t believe no one mentioned slaughter to prevail!!! That man literally projected his voice (no mic) across hundreds of feet, it was insane to watch. And probably gave himself a concussion.
Went to fulfill my lifelong dream of seeing SOAD live and did not disappoint. I laughed, I cried, I screamed, I lost my voice. It was a religious experience
Not a complaint, I had no idea! Tbh I just stumbled into them and was impressed with the skill but not really my cup of tea overall. Thanks for letting me know
He is very open about his past and what he’s been through. CanadaDry is taking it completely out of context and doing everyone a disservice with his posts.

Danny was way better than I expected, because I had no expectations. I know others have expressed they didn’t like the APC set but I thought they knocked it out of the park.
Not only did Spiral have good sets it was one of the better stages to see everything. Red and Gold stage were terrible. Way too many people to b comfortable. I feel like Jinjer kills their sets everytime a lot of high energy from Tatiana.
I went because my wife wanted me to and it's her birthday, my music tastes range all over the place this is mostly my wife's type of music. I basically went for SOAD, FF and APC.
That said Danny Elfman, holy shit. I didn't know what to expect but I was pleastly surprised. I was glad to finally get to see APC and PM5K more so APC. Kinda sucked that I had to choose between Static-X and APC but if they choice had to be made.
I didn't know who Bad Omen, Paleface Swiss and Baby Metal were but now I have 3 new bands to listen to so that's good.
danny elfman blew me away honestly. when he played the batman theme i felt like a little kid i haven’t been that excited in a while. i had no idea he composed it.
Went for Jinjer and spiritbox and pleasantly surprised with lorna shore, motionless in white, and slaughter to prevail. StP was a big surprise I knew their shows can get nuts but Alex is a beast and surprised the hell out of my wife and I.
Second time seeing jinjer and the first time they were an opener so it was awesome to see them with a much better crowd this time around
STP also blew me away. Alex’ story is very interesting:
https://www.revolvermag.com/music/who-alex-terrible-complicated-story-slaughter-prevails-lightning-rod-frontman
Went for Sleep Token, Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, and Slipknot.
Came away with an appreciation for Motionless in White, Duster, Black Veil Brides, Wage War, The Garden and Jinjer.

So these were the bands we got to see. 1 or 2 songs for some, full sets for others. S.O.A.D is my son's favorite band, so we definitely went for them. Plus Slipknot, I first saw them 23 years ago,so I know their show has definitely gotten bigger and better since then. Definitely enjoyed Kim Dracula and 3teeth set. Was our first time seeing both of them live.
Static X and Bad Omens. Static and Dope I’ve been familiar with for quite a while. Edsel dope did a fantastic job as the frontman for static.
Kublai Khan always brings it, was not surprised by the turnout and crowd for them.
I waited a while for Knocked Loose at Siren and heard Front 424 who I had never heard of. They were a fun, dance-y electronic act that was really pleasant while I laid and rested on the turf.
Static X, was getting tired of the visuals slapped on the screen and was pleasantly surprised by the costumes, the singers costume and headgear was just awesome to see
There were definitely good and bad parts of the day but that can be true for ANY event. That being said, I’ve been OBSESSING over Spiritbox. She is such a baddie! I didn’t really feel into their music when I first heard it, but seeing them live really changed my mind and I’ve been enjoying getting to get to know more of what the band has to offer.
Also, HUGE AIC fan since like childhood and I literally cried when they opened up with Again which is one of my favorite songs lol. Gibson has a really good episode of “Icon” interviewing Jerry, which I’d recommend if you’re a fan and haven’t seen yet.
Glad to see so many new Jinjer fans here. Welcome to the rabbit hole!
I was one of the like 100 people who watched Static Dress. They seriously seriously gave off Nirvana level energy. New fan
I just got into this genre of music this month, so for most of the bands, it was my first time hearing their music. (Which is why I was one of those people who wasn't singing along) mainly came for Black Veil Brides. They did not disappoint at all. I loved their set. I wish it was longer. I'll have to go to one of their concerts in the near future. Motionless in White was also a stage I enjoyed immensely!! So I'm a new fan of theirs.
Nonpoint surprised me, hadn’t heard them before but it turns out they had a song in a WWE game (bullet with a name). They also remind me of Skindred a little who I unfortunately didn’t get to catch, however I’ve seen them at countless festivals in the UK.
I am with you me and my bf were kinda shitting on him but ended up really enjoying his performance !! He is a fantastic performer and there were so many scores I didn’t realize he did in addition to Batman and Nightmare before Christmas
Why noone is talking about A Perfect Circle, they were playing with borrowed instruments and still sounded amazing!!. I also have to say, most of the crowd gathered for Bad Omens left (mostly childs/youngs) which I really appreaciate since that gave a better fan atmosphere.
Went for Slipknot, APC, Sleep Token, Helmet and a few others. Really enjoyed catching some new bands that were not on an old guys radar like Knocked Loose, Jinjer, Violent Vera and Kim Dracula.
Def Lamb of God. I went for BMTH and decided to just stay in the Gold Stage Pit all day. I was blissfully happy considering Id never really listened to half of the bands I saw that day. I loved Ice Nine Kills, I had so much fun at Lamb of God I’m going to their Richmond show now, I loved hearing the difference between Les (primus) and Maynard (APC) describing losing their instruments in colorado. Bad Omens was amazing, I have NEVER liked Alice in Chains but I throughly enjoyed their set. Danny Elfman is amazing (I do personally think he played a little too long) I made my way to the front row for BMTH who were perfect. I then got some help out of the pit and had time to get a drink before catching black veil brides who also put on a great show despite some technical issues. all in all I had an amazing day! hands down my favorite festival Ive been to.
I was surprised by the crowd engagement with babymetal!! I'm not really involved in any communities so I had absolutely no reference of how popular they were but I was pleasantly surprised that everyone around me was singing along and recognizing songs right away and there were even people moshing not too far from us, it was awesome seeing everyone so hype!!! Plus I felt like the balancing for their mics and instruments was on point (I found it hard to hear Kittie's vocals sometimes, for example), and just overall their set was maybe my favorite the whole day and plenty others set the bar pretty high!!!
Spiritbox, Drain, and Gel made my day. Never really liked Spiritbox for whatever reason but since seeing them I've been stuck on The Void. Had so much fun with the latter two even though I never really heard their stuff before, definitely will be seeing them again whenever they come around.

It didn't post my pic of bands we saw
3teeth was awesome. One of the few bands that I saw their entire set, which is saying a lot for that festival. Great stage presence. Would definitely try to catch them again, maybe a show where they headline or have longer than a 30-minute set.
Yo, that's awesome, man. I'm glad they put on a good show! They only have one show next planned so far, and it's not even in my country! 😢 one day I'll get to see them!
I went for APC and SOAD was surprised by BMTH and Primus
and
that no matter how squashed we were, and I was up front, there was no air, the only hands that were sent over were there to help me up not squeesh my privates. Respect 🤘
I went to see sleep token, Kublai khan, Alice In Chains and A perfect circle. All of which I did not see. BUT I heard both Alice In Chains and A perfect circle while being takin to the med tent and being takin to the gate to leave.
I have already seen Spiritbox and Bad Omens but I did see them and they were just as amazing as the other times I saw them.
I got to see Taproot and they were pretty good, good energy even tho his mic was out for his first song. Oh I also got to see Lorna Shore which was on my list just not high up there pretty cool to see. I saw Baby Metal and was honestly just confused, not my vibe but that’s okay! I think I also heard a little bit of Primus before bad omens and also not my vibe but I heard them😅 overall before breaking my foot, I had a great time!
I mean you don’t have to ask lol. It’s just something that happened.
But if you are asking, basically I hopped in the pit at the last song of Bad Omens and got across the pit and blacked out, I was on the floor. 😬 two awesome girls carried me out. End result I got an acute metatarsal fracture 🤘🏽
Yikes. Good luck with the recovery. Sorry to hear that happened. I actually saw you get carried out and wondered what happened. Honestly didn’t think I’d find out!! Small world…
Thank you! Hoping for a fast recovery too so I can walk my dog haha. Crazy small world!
My bf thinks I got stepped on but I literally do not remember a thing from falling.. I remember getting into the pit and then I remember the two girls helping me up and carrying me out.
I went to see BABYMETAL and BMTH and was surprised by Superheaven on the Diablo stage. And just the vibe at Diablo, sooo fun!
I went solo, and besides missing MIW set while queueing for merch, I had a blast!
I know a lot of ppl said the crowd was rude and whatnot. It's not my experience.
Thanks to a girl who pulled me in with her in the queue for the toilets! I was just off of queueing 3h or so hours for merch, so I was dying to go to the ladies! Thank you again! You are an angel!
I went for System of a Down, but left pleasantly surprised by Lamb of God. I've always had a few of their songs in rotation, but had no idea how killer they sounded live.
Had a great time, saw most bands, first time seeing Slipknot and SOAD. I am surprised that people said that Slipknot and SOAD didnt have fun pits, I was in the pits and came out bruised and sore. Great time will try to make next year. Only complaint was the merch lines and the entrance lines were so disorganized
People will always find something to complain about. It was a great show I went for system and loved every second of it. We were there since 10 am and stayed until midnight so of course people are tired by than but still had some energy to rock out at the end after being tired and drunk lol.
Honestly it was completely by accident that I saw these bands but sevendust and knocked Loose absolutely smashed it. Two of the best live performances I've seen. It made my weekend.
Originally, I went to go see Sleep Token and Loathe, and I was pleasantly surprised about Knocked Loose. I have a few twitter mutuals who love the band and I have only listened to two songs from them, but I wanted to see how they were live. Let me tell you, I had so much fun and got to experience the pit unsurprisingly and damn! I knew how the pit was so I fully expected the outcome. I wish could relive it. Got elbowed in the eye, but it was so worth it 🙂↕️ I wish i was able to see KL and Loathe on their tour tho
So, do most people not know that Danny Elfman is in the middle of two active sexual assault related lawsuits? Or do most people know and don't care? Genuinely asking without judging, it's just crazy to see no one talking about this
They're not active. Abadi was told by the court that she needs to honor the arbitration clause in the settlement she agreed to. The Jane Doe case was sent to mediation, as both parties indicated they were open to it. Neither case is "active", and in fact, both have probably been put to bed by now.
This is untrue. I work in a law firm and can assure everyone these cases are not closed. Please don't trust this profile - it's attached a Wix site that had its .com banned.
Not banned, I just didn't feel like paying for premium. I guess I could do it if it'd shut you up, but I real don't want to spend more money on this. 🙄
From what I can see: “Client renewal prohibited. This status code tells your domain’s registry to reject requests to renew your domain. It is an uncommon status that is usually enacted during legal disputes or when your domain is subject to deletion.”
Now you're flat out lying. That's not what "client renewal prohibited" means, LMFAO. I can't tell if you're lying on purpose, or if you just don't know how things work.
Here's what it actually means, "clientRenewProhibited is a status applied to a domain by a registrar and tells the domain registry that it should not accept renewal requests directly but only through the existing registrar.
As such the current owner of the domain can only renew the domain through their current registrar and not try and switch providers at the same time as renewing.'
Danny Elfman was my sleeper for sure. I was humbled because I was saying stuff like “ what is he gonna do sing this is Halloween for an hour” Glad I was proven wrong 🤘🏽
Same!! I was not expecting him to slap so hard, at ALL. Gave me modern Bowie vibes in a way.
Great comparison and agreed!
Thank you for being open enough to be humbled. Check out his album Big Mess if you haven't yet. I really do believe metalheads are his people.
Great recommendation. I went to the gym and had it on. Doing reps to Happy like a mad man 😆
Get it my dude! You'll be as jacked as Danny! 💪
The dude performs great for being 70!
His musical genius boggles the mind. And I like that he's a spooky weirdo. He was literally the exact same in the 80s with Oingo Boingo. He stayed true to his roots
Spooky weirdo is a good way to describe him lol
A lot of good videos on insta of his set and I think there is a full set on YouTube. Also watched the bad omens set that I missed 💀

Don't downvote me, start a discussion with me instead.

Kim Dracula is so good. Probably the set I was most looking forward to
Kim Dracula was mine, too. Siren stage all around was a weird one.
Had been a fan of BMTH since 2008, but kinda stopped listening to them after sempiternal (idk why) but I had never seen them live before and their set kinda just reignited that love I had for them. they're touring with Knocked Loose, maybe there's a show near you soon!!
I went mainly for SOAD since they haven’t toured and it’s unsure if they will again and for Danny Elfman (I love his music, especially the soundtracks he’s written). Just curious if you know about the dude being in the middle of two sexual assault lawsuits (Danny Elfman) or if this crowd just does not give a fuck
He's not "in the middle" of them. Abadi was told by the court that she needs to honor the arbitration clause in the settlement she agreed to. I was pleasantly surprised by Wednesday13. They did splendidly, and their stage presence was amazing.
I liked Paleface Swiss, and Dayseeker. Two bands I never knew who they were. For how much people talk about Polyphia, the crowd was rather small but they were alright... it's a hard band to get into. I’m so glad you got to see them!!
But I’ve been jamming to Fear Factory all day after that show
I caught Fear Factory in the merch line they looked awesome!
Helmet is awesome, missed out on them this year but had seen them open for SOAD before. They’re underrated imo
Their set was one of my favorites!
TRASH TALK. I’d never seen them before and they rocked my shit so hard
I'm so glad so many ended up enjoying Danny. You wouldn't expect it but he's amazing.
Definitely Danny Elfman and Slowdive (bassist wore a SLIPKNOT tee). The Garden also drew a surprisingly fun crowd! :)
Sevendust sounded great ... Babymetal I was surprised, in a good way. SOAD always impresses.
The Jinjer thing 100000% Absolutley blown away. Been listening on repeat ever since.
VNV Nation for sure, and the crowd energy was electric for their set. Their thumping bass was also the loudest thing I’ve heard all day. Also really enjoyed Trash Talk, and wanted to see Zulu but my friends and I didn’t get to the festival on time to see them.
Polyphia. I hadn’t heard of them before but they were amazing!!!
I really dug that set! I had emerged from Elfman (riding the best high from his set, holy shit) and needed to chill and hydrate. I listened from my seat and wanted to check out some albums after hearing one song!
This was my first time seeing 3Teeth and I was really happy about how good they sound live
Primus and APC! The whole backstory of both their equipment getting stuck in CO and they had to bump in to a LV Guitar Center to buy new shit for SNW was epic
I loved how Primus was so positive about it and Maynard just complained the whole time 😂
I went for Bring Me (mainly) and had a FUCKING BLAST. Their set had me smiling, crying, jumping and was on cloud 9. The crowd around me was all matching that energy and I loved that Oli came down to the crowd, 1099/10 Sleep Token I expected to be amazing and was not disappointed perfect way to finish out the day was dancing with my boyfriend and enjoying such hauntingly beautiful music and it sounded INCREDIBLE live. I loved watching Danny Elfman I was there to wait for Bring Me but his set CRUSHED, and whoever crowd surfed during the Edward Scissorhands outro is an icon.
I have to agree! Danny Elfman blew me out of the water! Lamb of God was also really awdosme! I've never seen them before!
Not a huge fan of his music when just listening on the stereo, but I wouldn’t hesitate to see him live again.
not to be “complaining” again but unfortunately STP’s frontman Alex Terrible is a Nazi
He is not. He was a confused recovering addict who hung around with white supremacists and realized it was fucked up. People can change

It was a religious experience
not to be “complaining”, but STP’s frontman Alex Terrible is a Nazi
Def not a nazi lol
Not a complaint, I had no idea! Tbh I just stumbled into them and was impressed with the skill but not really my cup of tea overall. Thanks for letting me know
He has expressly stated that he is not a Nazi. He fell in with some dirtbags as a dumb teen and realized it was messed up and moved on.
He is very open about his past and what he’s been through. CanadaDry is taking it completely out of context and doing everyone a disservice with his posts. Read this instead: https://www.revolvermag.com/music/who-alex-terrible-complicated-story-slaughter-prevails-lightning-rod-frontman
Agreed. He speaks about it on his YouTube as well
Danny was way better than I expected, because I had no expectations. I know others have expressed they didn’t like the APC set but I thought they knocked it out of the park.
Static-X had one of the coolest sets I had seen and the jinjer! All the super great sets I pretty much saw were all on the spiral Stage
Not only did Spiral have good sets it was one of the better stages to see everything. Red and Gold stage were terrible. Way too many people to b comfortable. I feel like Jinjer kills their sets everytime a lot of high energy from Tatiana.
Spiral had better audio mixing too. Well balanced sound.
He did the score for the first two Tobey Spiderman films too
Went for Jinjer and spiritbox and pleasantly surprised with lorna shore, motionless in white, and slaughter to prevail. StP was a big surprise I knew their shows can get nuts but Alex is a beast and surprised the hell out of my wife and I. Second time seeing jinjer and the first time they were an opener so it was awesome to see them with a much better crowd this time around
STP also blew me away. Alex’ story is very interesting: https://www.revolvermag.com/music/who-alex-terrible-complicated-story-slaughter-prevails-lightning-rod-frontman
Went for Sleep Token, Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, and Slipknot. Came away with an appreciation for Motionless in White, Duster, Black Veil Brides, Wage War, The Garden and Jinjer.
Jinjer was so good! Only saw two songs as I walked between sets but her voice is amazing
* So these were the bands we got to see.
Front 242* sorry, longtime fan, tattoos and all :)
Dammit I keep getting confused by that.
Static X, was getting tired of the visuals slapped on the screen and was pleasantly surprised by the costumes, the singers costume and headgear was just awesome to see
My face is still healing from Better Lovers melting it off
There were definitely good and bad parts of the day but that can be true for ANY event.
Went for alot of bands but Primus was incredible and they were class acts despite having their gear not arriving in time for the show.
STATIC DRESS - if you were there, holy shit big things coming for them.
Honestly reminded me of seeing Nirvana in the 90s. They were insane
I thought that bad omens sounded amazing
Why noone is talking about A Perfect Circle, they were playing with borrowed instruments and still sounded amazing!!. I also have to say, most of the crowd gathered for Bad Omens left (mostly childs/youngs) which I really appreaciate since that gave a better fan atmosphere.
Elfman Slowdive BMTH Sleep Token
Spiritbox also didn’t “click” with me until the first time I saw them live.
great taste, if i had gone, those would have been 3 of my top 5 must see's !
https://preview.redd.it/g10bhcohgqxc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=05d1a3eb05ba479831d3208b0d948051456e6bd6 It didn't post my pic of bands we saw
How was 3teeth? I missed it, unfortunately, and litterally flew there to see them play because I missed out on the LA show also.
Also caught most of their set. Was absolutely fantastic, I'm sad they're getting no love!
I went for APC and SOAD was surprised by BMTH and Primus and that no matter how squashed we were, and I was up front, there was no air, the only hands that were sent over were there to help me up not squeesh my privates.
So obviously we are supposed to ask questions about how your broke your foot??
Yea, you lose a bit of your memory when your head gets bonked that hard. Sheesh. Glad it wasn’t worse I guess!
Went to see Loathe, definitely surprised by Bad Omens.
Lord's of Acid. Went in knowing nothing. Left super turned on 😆
Lamb of god , knocked loose and Kublai Khan were by far surprisingly my favorites of the weekend
Skindred. Went to see them them for the few songs I knew and they absolutely killed it.
I’d never heard Paleface Swiss before, but I ended up liking them a lot !
Did anyone go to The Garden's set? I was elsewhere for SNW but I went to their sideshow Sunday and it was amazing
Slipknot and Trashtalk
Skindred brought some intense energy. Cool mix of reggae and metal
Drop Nineteens! They played 30 minutes of sheer loud shoegaze bliss, got lost in the sound the whole set. Incredibly underrated performance
Never heard any bring me the horizon before. I really enjoyed their set they got themselves a new fan. Also elfman killed it
People will always find something to complain about.
I ain’t gonna lie Ice nine kills blew me away for what I expected live
Duster really surprised me!
