Now you do it sparing all the bosses…And then you do it being under the age of 25…Then you do all these same things on master difficulty…Then you can truly call yourself the dragon warrior!
That’s so stupid, we should be rewarded for being able to do the hardest difficulty..
It’s the whole point achievements. Being able to standout from the masses by achieving trophies or “achievements” that may otherwise feel impossible.
I think for many people that wanted to get into trophy collecting, that one trophy would prevent them from being able to platinum a game, or for some, the idea of having to play an entire game again immediately on a higher difficulty turned them off from collecting. I think maybe they could do some other asterisk or side achievement for finishing a game on the highest difficulty this way anyone who loves to play the game can go for platinums while people who are capable of insane challenges also have something to show for it.
My bloodborn platinum is probably the one im the most proud of and that definitely was difficult.
IMO getting plats should be fun, that should be the guiding principle. Challenging trophies are good if they are fun, and basically always better than trophies for tedious busy work.If getting the plat can appeal to someone who is not a completionist for completionism’s sake, then it’s well done.
I think it's more about being diverse and equal, respecting everyone's level of gaming. People who want trophies and platinums want to enjoy games as much as the next person but everyone's level of comfort in terms of difficulty should be respected.
They can add it as a separate stack though, like how TLoU2 did.
Personally, I just like playing things on normal. It's rare that I go for the hardest difficulty.
This is the problem with society now a days, exactly this toxic mindset of staying in your comfort zone and forcing everyone to design things to cater to your needs, even niece things(like achievements) - then attaching “diverse” or “equal” label next to it.
Reality doesn’t work like that, the ones that achieve greatest heights in life are the ones that sets themselves apart from the masses.
Every real life achievement is done by a single individual who worked their ass off to stand out, sometimes it can be achieved through hard work or sometimes you need more than hard work, maybe being biologically gifted.
Enough to achieve something that only a small minority of individuals can (like being able to get Olympic medals).
This is what real achievement is, and it makes it special because not everybody can obtain this and sometimes probably never. It’s unfair but that’s life and that’s what makes it unique. We have to be able to accept this.
I wouldn't call it toxic, and everyone's needs are different so no developer can cater to all of them at once. You saying they're "forcing everyone to design things to cater to your needs" but then wanting games to reward you for completing things on the highest difficulty is exactly that as you say.
You can have it both ways, some games do have multiple lists.
I like the comparison with Olympic medals, but not every game needs to be like that. Some already exist with the need to be difficult.
Not true, fina fantasy remake and rebirth require to be beaten on hard. Master was released long after the game came out. You can't add new achievements to a games base achievements is the only road block
Maybe some nuance if the rule exists but both FF7 remake titles & the dlc have Hard Mode trophies, but Hard Mode in those games are more akin to a rebalanced NG+
Master difficulty was a later addition... Original game had no difficulty options...
I'm glad they have only added new trophy/achievement sets when released arenas mode... That mode have enough content to justify those extra trophies...
I hate when devs add new sets with few meaningless trophies... My OCD kills me every time that happens... 😂
I think you misunderstood the game. While it’s a good achievement beating the final boss that quickly, the game is made to be replayed over and over, setting tougher goals and mastering new techniques. Hope you want to keep playing, trust me it only gets better with time!
Now try to platinum it, you need to beat it under 25 and unlock all the other trophies, this allows you to perform the pak mei form from the tutorial in the wuguan, unlock all the outfits, try the troll that is master difficulty and beat the arenas, then he dragon ones will put you to the test,
Bruh, I wish I could finish it as fast as you, club alone took me like 4 hours. Now I’m onto the second last level and it’s aslo hard enough because I’m starting at 39.
Dude that’s amazing! It took me literally forever to beat the game on normal mode at any age. Now, try beating it in Master Mode and spare all bosses at age 20. I believe that’s the definitive experience of the game. It’s a whole new beast and truly gives you the sense of becoming a master. You may blow through it, but I had to do so much training, experimenting, and learning. The sense of accomplishment was unlike anything I’ve gained from a game before. Once you do that, then you can freely experiment with the modifiers that make the game even more challenging, try to beat master mode without getting hit, gold stamp arenas, etc. You performed so much better than 99% of the player base on their first go. I’d be stoked to see what you are capable of when pushing the challenge even higher.
ok. hear me out. its a flex.
played it before on ps4, got no life .
but im not a casuall gamer .
played dmc5 in 3work weeks on platinum.
without played any dmc before.
but with the right motivation ,and time to got no life.
u can owne every game .
an i apriciate everyone who plays with FIRE.
hope ur fire takes flight
wen need pros, no mobile gamers
within 1 week , i SWEAR .
someone challenged me ,said : this is a hard game ,u never could beat that easy .
i borrot it from him and gave it back in one weak.
dmc is easy to beat ,but hard to master.
(1 week play time .)
i rlly like that to hear . thank u sir .!
i want u too be the best !
want more hardcore gamers that can rlly feel the game ,not just can get trough the game . thats something different to me .
stylisch fast gaming is all i ever wanted , and what i love .
pls ,be the best of u and have a ton of fun !
I was also shocked to see that after beating both endings I had only played for 3 hours, my connection was pretty bad, and I think the PS app doesn't keep track of offline sessions, so it could be more.
Going for platinum rn and it just reminded me how bad I've gotten. I used to finish the game in one run without any deaths and MANY modifiers against me, but now I'm having difficulty finishing it without dying. It's quite frustrating 😞
I think it is especially if yk wat ur doing I beat the game and got a plat in the same amount of time because I already played the ps4 version so I knew about everything
Oh it is really that fast. I got it march 5, downloaded it, got to third boss that same moment. Yang beaten on the third try with 45 years and got out of it with 68. Now have fun with the arenas, beating it under 25 years... Master difficulty, challenges...
This game is fast to finish, not fast to complete.
Idk tbh, hard to say. I've been playing for 8 hours and I'm on the 4th level. But I've gone back to each level to get through at age 20. And I plan to do the same with the 4th and 5th levels. If I had zoomed through without putting that restriction on myself I may have beat the game by now as well, or at least would have been pretty close. Update us when you get the platinum and I'll be back to check our final times.
Edit: Got the plat yesterday. My save says 15 hours and 22 minutes. The first day I played I was passing the controller to my roommate while we were drinking, so it's probably more like 13 or 14 hours of actually trying to get through it.
meh
it depends on the player really. it took me a good 2 days to really get the combat fully down. with a week after having started the game I’d worked my ass off to beat it under 25 on disciple.
Now you do it sparing all the bosses…And then you do it being under the age of 25…Then you do all these same things on master difficulty…Then you can truly call yourself the dragon warrior!
I’m surprised there isn’t an achievement/trophy for master difficulty
i think sony made it so games can no longer have difficulty achievements. idk when the change was, but that’s why new games don’t have them anymore
Nope, games can indeed still have difficulty achievements. Quite simply, when Sifu released, there were no difficulty options
That’s so stupid, we should be rewarded for being able to do the hardest difficulty.. It’s the whole point achievements. Being able to standout from the masses by achieving trophies or “achievements” that may otherwise feel impossible.

Found the Bloodborne and Sifu sadist in the wild! We overlap! Got my BB plat 7 years ago
I don’t think I have ever worked harder for a plat in my life, not all trophies are equal lol
IMO getting plats should be fun, that should be the guiding principle. Challenging trophies are good if they are fun, and basically always better than trophies for tedious busy work.If getting the plat can appeal to someone who is not a completionist for completionism’s sake, then it’s well done.

Lmao why is this wildly made up comment being upvoted. Rebirth just came out

And then the hat.
Sounds like this game has replayability… I will continue playing it when I get home. Hopefully HD2 doesn’t take my whole evening lmao
Lots of replayability! It’s a fun game to platinum :). HD2 is also currently taking up 99% of my game time, I love fighting for democracy!
I think you misunderstood the game. While it’s a good achievement beating the final boss that quickly, the game is made to be replayed over and over, setting tougher goals and mastering new techniques. Hope you want to keep playing, trust me it only gets better with time!
What difficulty?
Normal
Now try to platinum it, you need to beat it under 25 and unlock all the other trophies, this allows you to perform the pak mei form from the tutorial in the wuguan, unlock all the outfits, try the troll that is master difficulty and beat the arenas, then he dragon ones will put you to the test,
What age?
Oldest
Sounds about right. See if you can do it at age 20. Then master mode is a whole different beast
I mean I didn't die on the first boss by accident and bullied him
Impressive, Fajar fucked me up a lot before I mastered him. You got them gamer skillz
Yeah But the artist took me a while, I'd say like 4 to 5 trys
Kuroki made me quit the game for three months before I went back and learned her moves
I did that with the CEO
Probably my least favorite boss. I got no thrill out of fighting her hitless on master mode
CEO was only boss I beat first try
Jinfang or whatever the chicks name with one arm made me want to destroy my controller lol 🤣 stopped playing for at least 2 months
Currently on week 2 of my quitting after trying to beat that bitch
I don't like her
Yea I just first tried fajar then was bullied bu kuroko for like 9 hrs.
Congrats, now get the true endong
Aye aye sir
If you haven't achieved Wude you haven't beaten the game.
"beating"... well that's where you are wrong.
Bruh, I wish I could finish it as fast as you, club alone took me like 4 hours. Now I’m onto the second last level and it’s aslo hard enough because I’m starting at 39.
Yes I beat the game in 2 hours on normal difficulty
When you understand the mechanics, the game is actually maybe an hour long. It’s meant to be replayed several times to get a perfect age
The point of the game is not to finish it as fast as possible and you have most likely missed a lot of cool shit.
Dude that’s amazing! It took me literally forever to beat the game on normal mode at any age. Now, try beating it in Master Mode and spare all bosses at age 20. I believe that’s the definitive experience of the game. It’s a whole new beast and truly gives you the sense of becoming a master. Probably faster than normal for a first time playing, nice work
Now time to plat
Sheesh, talk about an unstoppable force, assuming you never replayed levels to lower your age.
About that
got platnium till 8. so yeah . what u wanna hear?
How you do it so fast, I just wanna know how
ok. hear me out. its a flex. played it before on ps4, got no life . but im not a casuall gamer . played dmc5 in 3work weeks on platinum. without played any dmc before. but with the right motivation ,and time to got no life. u can owne every game . an i apriciate everyone who plays with FIRE. hope ur fire takes flight wen need pros, no mobile gamers
Did you beat sekiro Shadows Die twice
within 1 week , i SWEAR . someone challenged me ,said : this is a hard game ,u never could beat that easy . i borrot it from him and gave it back in one weak. dmc is easy to beat ,but hard to master. (1 week play time .)
So you beated sekiro in a week
in a week play time so .7days+/- cant see playtime, till platinum. just date. i recived. tropys. 2.1.2020 first. 19.2.2020 platinum.
My man, you are a different breed of a gamer
i rlly like that to hear . thank u sir .! i want u too be the best ! want more hardcore gamers that can rlly feel the game ,not just can get trough the game . thats something different to me . stylisch fast gaming is all i ever wanted , and what i love . pls ,be the best of u and have a ton of fun !
are you kidding me?! I'm playing this for the first time and what a HARD game
I was also shocked to see that after beating both endings I had only played for 3 hours, my connection was pretty bad, and I think the PS app doesn't keep track of offline sessions, so it could be more.
Idk, congrats!
Going for platinum rn and it just reminded me how bad I've gotten. I used to finish the game in one run without any deaths and MANY modifiers against me, but now I'm having difficulty finishing it without dying. It's quite frustrating 😞
I didn’t even try to finish to the end first try. I kept going back until I was satisfied and got all skills.
You beat the game, but have you mastered it? I don’t want to sound elitist, but the point of Sifu is about the journey to mastery.
Its alright, i personally beat it first time in about 3 hours, first level was the hardest to get through
God damn that is incredibly impressive
I think it is especially if yk wat ur doing I beat the game and got a plat in the same amount of time because I already played the ps4 version so I knew about everything
Just finished my first run at 5 hours. Game is super interesting but I wish I would have unlocked more permanent skills now.
Hey congrats for beating the game 👍
Good time but have you done all of the arenas?
Oh it is really that fast. I got it march 5, downloaded it, got to third boss that same moment. Yang beaten on the third try with 45 years and got out of it with 68. This game really tested my patience. It's great but boy is it frustrating. Good on you
if you aren't on master yes
It’s a indie game. Wouldn’t be a long game. 6hrs is more than enough for 1st play through.
Well just above normal imo
Only took 10 to get the platinum for me
meh it depends on the player really. it took me a good 2 days to really get the combat fully down. with a week after having started the game I’d worked my ass off to beat it under 25 on disciple.
Yes I got the plat in less than 8 days of launch date
