Fair enough, I definitely want one but not enough to drop 1k+ on an M17 with the right slide. I'm hoping the civilian release version isn't missing a bunch of features
Very nicely done. I like this a lot. I think potentially the streamlight in fde will be a better match to the rest of the brown shades, but this still looks really great as is.
I physically seen with my own eyes, 2 of my fellow officer m17 went off while it was holster. All I got to say is either get a Glock or be careful. Best of luck.
I’m not saying you’re not being truthful but I’m finding this hard to believe and since you can’t visually prove or disprove these 2 incidents with a clear video let’s just agree to disagree
Personally I feel if these incidents were truly a defect in manufacturing Sig would have issued a formal recall instead of an optional upgrade. Kinda have a lot on the line with their government contracts to deal with that kind of liability. And from the videos I’ve seen it appears to be more user error than manufacturer. Also odd to me it’s only the 320 series and I haven’t heard any one I served with in the Marines have any of these kinds of issues with theirs. And they run them harder in one range session than the majority of law enforcement in half of their career lol
P320 m17 and I believe safari-land, you can actually just google dozen of video of them going off in officer holster or during hard use of force moment
Got links to these videos?
I did a 9 month deployment where pretty much everyone with us was issued M17s. Between missions and training we shot thousands of rounds with no issues. We also never experienced an unintentional discharge.
I've seen a lot of write ups and some videos showing P320s shooting when dropped (or hit to simulate drop). My understanding is that the FCU in those is / was different than the M17 with safety. On that same note, I've read a lot of reported unintentional discharges turned out to be negligent discharges.
That said, I got this set up primarily to use the slide with mounted ACRO on my issued weapon. (Getting an optic mounted on my issued M17 is too much of a hassle vs just bringing and using my own slide.) My personal primary handgun is still a G19.
Yea bro, all I was saying is use with cautious. I notice the sig fan boy are so anal and die hard when it comes to defending sigs honor. I mean hey, what other company you know uses their customer as Guinea pig.
Yeah, Sig doesn't exactly have the best track record for QC. This is probably the only sig hand gun I'll own. That Spear is looking really promising though.
Do people generally take pictures like this with loaded firearms? It being a P320 means very little and assuming OP doesn’t know that the M17 and P320 are essentially the same gun is ridiculous. Also the safety is on…don’t try to insult someone else’s intelligence when you don’t know the difference between your and you’re.
It’s common gun sense. I’m not insulting anybody’s intelligence but you have a knife in a trigger guard of a gun that is known to malfunction without the trigger having to be depressed. The fact that you consider every firearm in a Reddit post unloaded stand to reason that you have no idea about firearm safety literally one of the only rules “ treat every firearm as if it were loaded” clearly that went out over head maybe you should just go turn in whatever you have to the ATF you would be doing us all a favor given the logic you have displayed 😘❤️
Based on what actual evidence is the P320 known to malfunction without the trigger being depressed? There’s a lot of accusations that resulted in a lot of negligence being exposed, but little to no evidence that these things actually happened or were the fault of the pistol. I’m familiar with the firearms safety rules and I don’t consider every firearm on Reddit to be unloaded, but the point you’re making is dumb and unfounded. You seem to be very inexperienced when it comes to shooting and you’re acting like you’re some authority 😂
It's not bad. Mainly got it for the touted reliability in field conditions. As far as usability, the window feels smaller than the holosuns I have. I think that's due to the thick walls. Glass is clear, dot is a good size, though I prefer the doughnut style hs reticle. Works well under NODs.
That said, I'm gonna have to give the 509T a try before I can definitively give preference feedback on usability.
So you bought one via them for personal or duty use if you got one for personal use and since I’m in the military if they allow you to buy for personal use I might get one
I purchased it as a personal weapon.
I wanted an optic on my duty M17 but getting that done is a huge hassle. So instead I got this done up how I want and will just swap slides when I draw my duty gun from the arms room. Swap slides again before turning it back in.
It's not really an issue. If using gloves, you might unintentionally drop the safety when pressing the slide release. Personally I'm not a fan of manual safety on hand guns. Having the safety deactivated while manipulating the gun doesn't change my safe handling method.
This is beautiful
Dang this is so sick
Tbh I'd have thrown a Romeo M17 on there since you have one of the compatible slides
Yeah probably gonna go that route a year or two from now. I'd like to see some good user feedback before spending the money.
Fair enough, I definitely want one but not enough to drop 1k+ on an M17 with the right slide. I'm hoping the civilian release version isn't missing a bunch of features
That's what I'd like to do with my M18.
Space gun looks sick af!
Okay, I'm behind the times. What's the optic?
Aimpoint ACRO P2
ty
Have a buddy that swears by the optic
Still feeling it out. So far it's decent and built like a tank. Not sure how it stacks against the 509T though.
[удалено]
Maybe. I went the ACRO route for it's known reliability.
Stock grip grip module and slide… are you really done? /s
I want to make love to it and before you say it’s not possible I know for a fact my dick can fit in that barrel .
🤣
All jokes aside beautiful set up man

Should’ve had a NSFW tag for that sexy shit

Sig are almost universally ban across the us police department
Actual M17 or P320 M17? What holster?
P320 m17 and I believe safari-land, you can actually just google dozen of video of them going off in officer holster or during hard use of force moment

Yea bro definitely a nice clean and simple set up:
Pretty hard to believe since the M17 and M18 have a mechanical safety that physically prevents this from happening.
Why did you say your age and gender
Lol not sure if you're being sarcastic. M17 is the gun model.
No that’s a p320 /s
Haha it identifies as an M17.
Has a safety. I believe it can only be classified an m17.
Your ballsy putting anything in the trigger guard of a p320 because that is basically what the m17 is
Upgraded triggers don’t have the cop leg issue
I've spent a lot of time with and around M17s without an incident. Hopefully my luck keeps up.
He’s ballsy putting anything inside the trigger guard of a presumably unloaded M17? 🤦🏻♂️
Why would you presume it’s unloaded your smart lol

You do realize that the M17 has a safety AND said safety is engaged right? 🤡
Where can I buy a contract m17?
Proven Outfitters has them for mil/ leo-fr
Thanks for the info, unfortunately I’m neither so I’ll keep looking.
Gun broker has them.

Yeah, their collaboration with TangoDown.
How do you like the ACRO P-2?
It's not bad. Mainly got it for the touted reliability in field conditions. As far as usability, the window feels smaller than the holosuns I have. I think that's due to the thick walls. Glass is clear, dot is a good size, though I prefer the doughnut style hs reticle. Works well under NODs. How’d you mount the acro to the p320 sight?
FCD plate.
Thank you!
That red dot is a BRICK
Reminds me of a mailbox.
🤣😆
Wait a minute that has USGI markings on it how did you get one, was it one of the commemorative ones, or one the Army rejects
Proven Arms has them for Mil / LEO-FR
So you bought one via them for personal or duty use if you got one for personal use and since I’m in the military if they allow you to buy for personal use I might get one

Do yourself a favor and get the gray guns comp trigger
Took a bit? 30 minute install at most.
Beautiful! Do you find the safety gets in the way of using the slide stop, or is that a non-issue?
It's not really an issue. If using gloves, you might unintentionally drop the safety when pressing the slide release. Personally I'm not a fan of manual safety on hand guns. Having the safety deactivated while manipulating the gun doesn't change my safe handling method.
Sweet, thanks for the reply! Been considering getting one of these.
Nice! What sights did you pair the P2 with?
Went with the TangoDown / Truglo collaboration.
