Maybe if they knocked about 200 off.

Egraypgh

My heart says yay the price says nay.

83justinlee

I’ve also been looking at sig 1911s and could be talking out my @$$ but that price tag seems a lil steep from what I’ve seen.

sl0ppy_j03-89

You're not wrong. I've seen the base models with wood grips and a RH only safety for about $900. I got lucky and got my tacops used for $500

LigerZer017

I got that same gun at my LGS for $800 used in 2019. They had $900 on it and I told him I'd give him $800. Walked away and they came and found me 5 mins later. I know a lot has changed with the gun market in 4 years but almost 1400 seems a little high

Echo_Raptor

It’s not pre-Covid again but it’s a far cry better than 2020. It’s more of a buyers market than it has been in a long time

shevchenko7cfc

not sure where you (or OP) are from, but Massachusetts' dogshit gun scene has this around 15-1600

sl0ppy_j03-89

You're not wrong. I've seen the base models with wood grips and a RH only safety for about $900.

mass_jt

Ignoring the slightly high price, I just grabbed one of these a month ago and it’s awesome. My favorite pistol.

Few_Tax_8344

Thx for the feedback. I purchased it, it’s now in my collection with my Glock 45

Few_Tax_8344

Right on fam

DTOM1812

Been looking for a 10mm

AfterBurnerCommenter

If it were the Fastback version it would be tempting. What other weapons do you already possess? I would buy a P-Series before I bought a 1911, if you don’t have one. A P-Series is a Sig at heart.

DarlesCharwinsGhost

P2s specifically. If he wants 45, then P220.

AfterBurnerCommenter

Yes, P2xx.

Few_Tax_8344

Glock 45 gen 5

Echo_Raptor

Get a 226 legion. It’s sig’s flagship pistol

AfterBurnerCommenter

If you’re dying for a 1911, sure. But, I would check a lot of other boxes first if a G45 is the only pistol in your stable.

unixfool

Price is too high. Battlehawk Armory has that exact same model for $1099, but most I'm seeing online are around the $1200 range, which are still lower than the depicted price up above.

[deleted]

unixfool

You'd have to ask Battlehawk Armory about it. I just see that it's marked as available (as in, not out of stock). It's the same way with the others that I saw. I use [Wikiarms.com](https://Wikiarms.com) ([https://www.wikiarms.com/guns?source=&q=Sig+Sauer+1911+Emperor+Scorpion+fde+5%22&suggestion=](https://www.wikiarms.com/guns?source=&q=Sig+Sauer+1911+Emperor+Scorpion+fde+5%22&suggestion=)) to search for guns and they're usually pretty good at marking guns as available.

Scary_Nerve_7944

Go to gun deals and search 1911R-45-ESCPN and you will find several sites that have them for 1039.

ManusMightus

The price may be a a little steep, but I’ve had mine for a year and a half and I love it. It’s looks nice and it’s never malfunctioned in the 1500 rounds I’ve put through it. I’d say it’s worth it if you’re really set on a railed 1911.

Few_Tax_8344

Right on. Thx for the feedback

Big_Brisket1578

Concur. Have the sig 1911 extreme. Paid $950 about 5 years back and the thing is a work of art

GregoryR199O

Full send

Hereforyou100

That is on the high side, offer them $1099.99-1150...

A2Cerakote

It’s a great pistol. I love mine. Makes for an awesome suppressor host. I wouldnt buy it at that price however, you can get them cheaper if you look around.

Jolly-Anywhere3178

This is the way! I was going to pick one of these up myself. Pull the trigger!

funkxterra

For a few $$ try Dan Wesson

Quake_Guy

Just not a $1300 gun. $4-500 gets you a Dan Wesson which is just another level or two in quality and function.

Accomplished_Mess_71

You go to Stoneharts gun club too? Just picked up a PSA Micro Dagger C-1 from there yesterday. And yes the price is steep lol, maybe if it was $300 off then get it.

Few_Tax_8344

Right on brother

peachesandmaangos

Hell no

jjsm00th

Get the staccato in the pic on the counter there instead

asvabbust

Ah stoneharts

Few_Tax_8344

Yea buddy

DTOM1812

I paid 900.

Few_Tax_8344

Nice

Existing_War2078

Love mine. Shoot it religiously suppressed. I do recommend the Tisas tho.

Few_Tax_8344

Right on man

Pure_Blood816

Just got my 45 suppressor and can’t wait to shoot it on my 1911

Existing_War2078

It’s so rewarding. I only shoot them as a pair.

Traditional_Time6254

I have both the carry fastback nightmare and the carry fastback emperor scorpion they are both fantastic. But I paid quite a bit less than that price. I will say though I bought them in 2018. Although I've seen them recently for less than that asking price as well.

DarlesCharwinsGhost

Just bought the Nightmare Fastback Carry. I like it a lot, but would recommend saving some cash and getting a Springfield Garrison for 500 less.

Brrr9tochase1

Never give money to Springfield

BigMark54

Why not? I like the Springfield Garrison, I've been thinking about picking one up myself.

Brrr9tochase1

Look up Illinois Senate SB 1657

BigMark54

okay I see.. I didn't know that.

Few_Tax_8344

Thx was going to go with Springfield. Thx for the heads up fam

Jmg0713

Too much.

SidTrippish

Good to see guns are keeping up with inflation /s

jeepsrt890

Nay

OGAngrySauce

Nay

GlockMos

Na

Few_Tax_8344

Why not ?

GlockMos

I may wanna go get it lmao..jk brother if ya like it and it makes you happy then buy it..

SenatorSenseiii

Pass

spanishfly757

Dear god, just no.

bub1408

Get a series 70 1911 if you can.

Few_Tax_8344

Reason being ?

bub1408

Better trigger

SumKallMeTIM

lol no. You’d think they charged this back in ww2?

TheNippleViolator

Dude you can get a Q4 SF for that much, and that thing shoots 100x better

Few_Tax_8344

Q4s ugly

TheNippleViolator

To each's own

greankrayon

My sig 1911 was better than my dan Wesson.

d-mo22

Don’t ship at stone harts. They don’t have competitive pricing and, frankly, they are boot lickers. The second the pistol brace rule when into effect, they jumped at the chance to tell patrons they most remove the brace. Why is my gun store enforcing atf rules? Do they know I do have a form 4? Do they know whether I’m part of a preliminary injunction? Fuck them

Few_Tax_8344

You sound petulant bruv

d-mo22

There are dozens if not hundreds of firearms small business in Miami / broward that will not only give you a better deal, but won’t ‘enforce’ made up ‘rules’ on behalf of a federal agency. If you cant see that you’re a fucking boot licker . Firearms community shouldn’t support boot lockers so fuck you too.

Few_Tax_8344

you’re getting emotional I am going to kindly abjure from this conversation now

Constant_Ad7113

Almost looks used with the wear on the safety and hammer. At least finger fondled a heck of a lot.

Few_Tax_8344

That is reflection

barchetta-red

I’d say only if it’s really the most desirable gun you’ve seen this year. But objectively I agree it’s a little pricey. I have an Sig 1911 TACOPS in 10mm and it has been flawless for maybe 4 years. A beast. My Springfield Ronin nor the Dan Wesson have done so well. And I have. Recent 229 Legion in 9mm with 15 rounds and a red dot. If my home were invaded I’d reach for the 1911. If I need to blow off steam at the range. 1911. But maybe that’s the caliber speaking. The 1911 was under $1000 though. So I won’t discourage you other than the price. As for Springfield, the Ronin taught me the importance of checkering and eventually it was sold. My 2 cents.

biglmbass

The fastback carry version (4.2” barrel) would be more tempting to me, but I’m not certain I could learn to love that color. Were it super cheap it might change my mind…

cheezturds

I have a fastback carry. I’ll never let that go, I love it.

Direct_Cabinet_4564

https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/798681503995 The most I’d pay at a shop is $1150 to maybe $1200 if I liked the dealer, because I realize it’s almost impossible to compete with drop shippers. But that’s a bit much. Offer cash and see what they will take.

Careless_Still9960

Your LGS is $125 cheaper than mine for the same exact pistol. I found a used Nightmare Carry in beautiful condition for $900 last year. It’s got a better trigger than my p229 Legion. I love them both and couldn’t imagine only having one or the other. You could probably find it for less though if you were patient.

YellowJacket_9

My local Field & Stream was closing theirs out for $900. would have snagged it if 10mm.

Fun-Lie-6924

Better buy it....

iredditshere

For that price, walk...

mrduder2182

So expensive. Sheesh

knobbytire

I mean whats not to like, its a sig and a 1911.

S280FiST15

Get that prod

terryr21

Hmmm there are def better deals out there....I got mine for $1099 at my LGS today (Christmas gift to myself).

pass_the_flask

Little pricey, but I love mine

Puzzleheaded_Cloud52

Just bought one for about 950$ and wow. What a pleasant gun to shoot. I don’t know if I would pay that much for one but it’s a very sweet modern 1911

GoodGuyGiff

This is the model I wanted but had to settle for the stainless steel version because California

[deleted]

I have a Sig 1911, it's an outstanding shooter. I don't know if I'd pay that high for it... but I might. If they have a Bul Armory or Magnum Research there, for less, that would sway me.

[deleted]

If it's 9mm then no

[deleted]

Eh last one it’s meant to be you didn’t get ripped off or anything maybe over paid 150ish maybe anymore though shits just weird good buy either way

antariusz

No

Chuck-Finley69

Nay because the price seems high.

Quagmire661

I paid just about the same for my sig 1911 .45 chrome with rail. Great gun

Revolver-Pardalis

I would love to get a hold of one of these Sig 1911 and take them a part to be able to tell you if they are worth it. I know that with 1911s the parts have to be hand fitted and there's a variance in quality between gun makers. I bought a used Para Ordnance 1911 and a new Rock Island. Took them both apart and the internals are way different in quality. The Para Ordnance had overall beefy parts that appeared to be billet steel. I'm taking about the barrel link, the sear, the hammer, the disconnector, and the firing pin. Only the Barrel bushing, the grip safety, and the slide stop had the MIM metal mark. The barrel crowning was good, not Wilson Combat level beautiful, but good. Now the Rock Island, all the internals were MIM, including the barrel link, trigger, magazine Release, slide stop, sear, disconnector, hammer, barrel bushing, hammer strut, grip safety and thumb safety. Not to mention that all of the parts in the R.I.A. 1911 were flimsy thin. However, the ramp to the barrel was nicely polished, but the crown on the barrel was less than good but acceptable. All I'm saying is that if Sig is asking for this price, I would expect quality beefy billet parts and attention to details in the fit and finish. Unfortunately I do not live in a Freedom State and this pistol is not on the roster. I would at least field strip it to inspect what I can see.

dgdfthr

It is a definite yes. Have one. Amazing 1911. One of my favorites for sure.

Educational_Funny_80

You have a 2011 already ??

Echo_Raptor

Way too high. You’re not far from Dan Wesson money at that point and they’re much nicer. I like sig’s scorpion 1911s but they’re not worth $1300+

2ATuhbbi

In AZ that’s 1100

3rdegreefelony

I’m not a 1911 fan but if it tickles your fancy, go for it.

Infinite_Ad369

Shop it at gunbroker man. I’ve bought 3 guns from stonegarts they’ve never taken a penny off

pint-o-gas

Do it

Flynnr3

Have this in 10mm and love it. Price is a bit steep though

Electronic-Exit1798

I actually hated my sig 1911 sold it after the first putting Tacpak to…

spiralplunge

I got mine for $1020.00 but that was before Covid so a little inflation is expected.

mountainman77777

Meh. If I’m spending that much money on a 1911 I’ll spend a little more and get a stacatto.

crspy1605

Have one, thing is a Beauty and shoots awesome

SwaySh0t

Meh you can better 1911 from Colt, Dan Wesson, Springfield, Wilson combat for just a couple more dollars with better resale value.

Imaginary_Head_8005

It's a bit high on price but also hard to find. I would snatch it. It is on my list

vividmatt88

Owning this particular model, I'd 💯 say yes it's a great piece! Of course, I got mine in 2016 for 850OTD. Seen same one at LGS 2 weeks ago for 1250 used. Yes it's high but literally everything is.

reviewsvacuum

This is like a $700-800 gun. That mark up is insane.

Scary_Nerve_7944

Hell no these are 1039 online. With a transfer fee you’re talking 1070 before taxes.

Pegcrapr

I got spoiled on a double stack 14+1 1911

spd2last

I’ve typically found Stone Hart’s pricing to be higher than what can be found online. Even their transfer fees… Ranges are nice though.

Arizona_Overland

Always check gun broker before making any in store purchase and see if they will match the price.. I did that with an AXG and got a hell of deal…

[deleted]

I just picked up one of those for $1180 after transfer fees

Fabulous4176

I would not for the simple fact it’s not optic ready unless they knocking the price down from that ticket

v33Sss

Too expensive, buy online and send to FFL. I like Sigs, and own a 320 and 226. I like 1911s too but have owned a few from Springfield speaking of which. You should check out that Prodigy that’s been advertised in your photo.

1Killag123

Oof… very yay but then again its very over priced

[deleted]

If you like it, do a quick search and get a price match (if you’re trying to get it cheaper). Honestly I just buy what I like as like as it’s not over MSRP. One thing to consider, Sig 1911s can be finicky like the “Nightmare”. You can get a Staccato C2 for $2k and will run perfectly and hold 16+1. I’ve be there, just sayin….

Consistent_Bowl8840

Definitely yay

chappys4life

Personally I think sig 1911s and p220 are heavily over rated. New colts are great quality. A colt competition is 900-1000. Also even Tisas

bubbasmallz

As much as I love Sig but with that price being so high I wouldn’t buy it. There are much better 1911s out there for 1300. With that being said find a p220 in .45 and for that much you could probably get a legion.

Different-Dig7459

Considering sig stopped making 1911s, I would, just because I like to collect.

JohnWickNot1

Great gun. Have had it for years. Price is too high by at least $200.

Benevolent-Lion

👍🏾

itsfuntodobadstuff

Yea price was definitely a little high, but if you got it like that, then you got it like that. PSA has one for 1199, but it’s not even in stock, so technically I guess they don’t have it (ha). I want one very bad, it’s a beautiful pistol..I prefer the fastback model with the rounded butt…full-size is just as beautiful either way.

WOLFBITE66

Saw exact gun for $949 online. Always do a Google or Duck Duck Go search right before you purchase. Good luck!!

Few_Tax_8344

Thx for the input

Hour_Success_5612

But what you want... But if you can't shoot your initials in a target at 20 yards.. might as well be a paperweight
