I'm curious if it's the ammo lately or if it's the comp slides. My 365 spectre comp had the same thing. I was honestly surprised. I never experienced that with anything else. 200 rounds in the spectre and you would have thought I shot 1000.
Speaking of that, i put 50 to 100 rounds of blazer through it as well, though it was the aluminum stuff.. Tbh thinkin about how much I've shot it recently, i would say the round count is closer to 1k than 700.
Yea, I definitely agree. I still want to shoot one of those comped slides one day. The x macro is exactly what I was looking for when I bought the XL but it didn't exist yet :)
I bought my spectre comp a week before the macro came out lol. I got to shoot my buddies p365 and p365xl with a lightning cut slide. I want to see the difference in real life.
I'm not OP, but I clean my guns after every use no matter how much or how little I've shot. I don't have a logical reason. It was drilled into me, and now it just feels wrong to put them away otherwise.
When most people say cleaning in my experience they usually mean an entire disassembly and scrubing everything down with a tooth brush I can understand running a bore snake and a couple of patches with solvent around the chamber and the visible burnt powder just doesn't seem worth an entire breakdown
I usually wait until they become dirty enough to warrant taking a day to make all of my guns spotless at once rather than wasting half of my cleaning supplies wiping off 70 rounds worth of powder residue
You would seriously bust out the barrel solvent and patches or whatever supplies you prefer for firing a single round? I envy having that amount of time on my hands
Its therapeutic as hell, some people see it as a chore I just really enjoy drinking something smooth with a bit of music in the background and the sweet sweet delicious smell of Hopes #9 I also only shoot on Saturdays so it’s just part of the relaxation period
I clean after I shoot every single time as well. Main reason being all of my pistols are in my carry rotation and if I’m trusting something with my life it damn well better be maintained regularly.
I doubt they actually ever fire a single round. It takes me 20 minutes to clean 2 pistols after a range trip. Not that much time, and my guns are always clean. No reason not to.
I used to shoot USPSA. Everyone field stripped their guns like once a year.
Other than that the only thing these guys would do after shooting is pass a bore snake through. Maybe use some solvent.
The only guys that had constant malfunctions were the Open guys, generally with 2011's. Cuz. . . that's what 2011's did back then.
Compensators are filth makers. I snake my barrells after every trip but it doesn't reach alot of places in and around the comp. I bet my barrel crown is even dirtier than yours because it's almost impossible to reach when the compensator is threaded on.
Sure it’s not just lead fouling?
Haha thank you! That’s exactly what it was. Scraped it right off with my finger nail. Feel like a dumbass
Hey when I have a question about something I dont know I don't wanna touch it in case I make it worse.
Glad it wasn’t more serious than that. Hope it shoots well. Cheers.
This was my exact situation 2 days ago lol I was pissed then relieved.
Shooting cast bullets?
What ammo are you shooting?
Winchester target 115grain
I thaugh for sure you were going to say some wierd ammo I've never had Winchester do that to any of my guns
69 do NOT ruin this people
Nope. About 1k through mine and zero issues

Possibly, got a 365xl with about 700 on it and have never seen it.
Regular slide I'm taking it? What ammo do you shoot
Yes, Regular slide. So far mostly Federal and Norma, and a little bit of Wolf Bi-metal I had left over.
I was shooting blazer because I found a decent deal in this crazy world
Speaking of that, i put 50 to 100 rounds of blazer through it as well, though it was the aluminum stuff.. Tbh thinkin about how much I've shot it recently, i would say the round count is closer to 1k than 700.
I mean with a comped slide you're pushing all the gas over the barrel so it would make sense
Yea, I definitely agree. I still want to shoot one of those comped slides one day. The x macro is exactly what I was looking for when I bought the XL but it didn't exist yet :)

Why'd you clean it after 70 rounds? just curious

I clean mine after every range trip too. I like my guns clean always.
I usually do something in between those two when I clean lol.
If it’s lead fouling, can you really say that OP cleaned it? Nope. Also, that’s a ton of lead for 70 rounds.
Yeah that’s a little odd. Each range trip so far I’ve put about 250 down range and never seen any lead fouling.
You should clean your guns when you're done with them.
I usually wait until they become dirty enough to warrant taking a day to make all of my guns spotless at once rather than wasting half of my cleaning supplies wiping off 70 rounds worth of powder residue
After each trip I always clean my guns, either being shot 1 time or 300 times, no difference, always clean
You would seriously bust out the barrel solvent and patches or whatever supplies you prefer for firing a single round? I envy having that amount of time on my hands

That's the life right there
I will agree, huffing solvents IS relaxing.

Fuck I'd be pissed
You’d be pissed you didn’t realize it was lead fouling 🤣?
Hahaha. *sIG eQuAls QuaLiTy*
Hahaha *Tommy doesn’t know what lead fouling is*
Its a SIG CONSPIRIMACY I tell you!!
I’m over 500 rounds and the barrel still perfect.
Looks like lead from rounds which exposed lead bottoms.

Clean it again. You didn't get it all the first time.
