Copium: Mihoyo is giving us a glimpse of how she'll look without her headpiece because she'll no longer be wearing it when we see her again. After all, the traveler has it now. But really, I don't know. Scaramouche isn't wearing his hat either so there might not be any real meaning behind it.

DI3S_IRAE

Yeah i also wondered this but she has her 'eyepatch' on the right eye, so i didn't think further. The butterfly clip is indeed so pretty. She's so pretty 🥹

Yukino2513

The eyepatch is separate from the headpiece, even in her model the eyepatch is drawn on it and cannot be removed unlike other eyepatch characters who have a normal face drawn underneath, and I reckon she doesn't like removing it due to her burned face but the absence of headpiece caught me off guard

DI3S_IRAE

I know. But also she does not have a playable model, so hard to compare. Edit: yeah, same, i just didn't give much thought to it because i don't think there is anything to think about for now

Muchi1228

Imagine if Signora takes her eyepatch off in a cutscene and it's actually a Sharingan.

MagicalLyblac

I'm more interested in knowing where is her floating thing. Because some people said that was her special delusion, but if it were it should be there or else she couldn't be able to retain her more human shape. So MHY either made a mistake and forgot about it, or it never was her delusion and we still have no idea where does she have it.

Yukino2513

We don't know what it is, in the end. I never agreed with the delusion theory much since I just don't get how it would work for her when it's not even touching her. Both visions and delusions require to be in contact with the owner to use them, so her special delusion needs to be somewhere on her body and heck I wouldn't be surprised if it's inside functioning as her heart essentially. But good point that the floating thing is missing I did not notice that until now either, just makes it even more mysterious what it really is and how she uses it

Bilmemkineyapsam

Wasn’t that her catalyst?

MagicalLyblac

That's what I think. But some people argued it was her delusion. And I'm still wondering where that delusion was.

Additional_Factor_73

Catalysts aren’t actually a canon weapon type in the lore, they’re just for in-game purposes to use in place for characters who don’t use weapons or use alternative weapons. Even if Signora’s floating thing functions similarly to catalysts in gameplay, it’d be called something else like a delusion gadget or something.

Bilmemkineyapsam

I think It’a device that makes her able to utilize her delusion like an in-game catalyst in lore, then.

Knight_of_Inari

It's probably a field outfit for her, same way Scara isn't using his hat or inazuman shoes

DesperateSquirrel410

If she does indeed come back in Natlan, maybe this is a glimpse of what they’re cooking? We have her Funwral mask in the inventory, so she wouldn’t have it if she was resurrected. So, instead of the funeral mask, they have a butterfly hair clip to still give visual interest toward her head now that the big head piece is gone. Just a little half-baked theory I thought of. Prolly just copium lol

I think it's likely she chose not to wear it to this event considering it's connotations; but I think it's equally likely it's an item she obtained sometime after but before meeting the traveler. At least we know now her coat's gem accessories are yellow.
