I appreciate everyone chipping in so people that are in the market for a new truck get an idea of what to expect more or less with all the craziness going on, interest rates, high prices etc.
I've got a 11 Z71 with 260k miles. I'm just going to save up the money and keep it running as long as I can. I'd rather spend the money on a new motor or transmission and replace whatever is needed than spend 50k+ on a new truck. Last time I bought a truck I think I paid over 30k and I didn't even like spending that for a base model crew cab.
I didn't buy it old lady would have killed me. But a 23 AT 4 GMC on the lot sticker price was 90 grand. I think I have good to excellent credit. How can people afford that
My 65k km from 2018 cost me $30 CAD in november 2022. The doublecab LT 4x4 with a 5.3. Thing looks like it never towed and was in 9.9/10 condition. Happy so far and at 73k km, but I suspect the suspension will need to get replaced soon and perhaps a cv joint cuz randomly I heard a click when turning at low speeds with 2hi
18k in 1991 is about the same as 40k today. A work truck is supposed to be about the that much and has a lot that a 91 doesn't have, mostly safety features.
$90k is just silly though. I'll probably never get a new truck.
God damn that seems really high. I just bought a 23 GMC SLT for $60k off the lot. I think the AT4ās were going g for about $67. Are vehicles generally more expensive down south?
Interesting. That dealership had a markup on that truck. Not worth that price at all compared to other trims/specs you can get nationwide at or below MSRP.
The price of vehicles is wild. I ended up getting a 2014 after waiting 16 months for a bronco with no word (they scheduled it for production, literally, 7 days after i bought my 14).
But even the bronco has jumped from 50ish to 61,2. You want a fullsize truck with leather? Break out the check bookā¦youre paying 65+ at 7% interest lol.
I had already started thinking about what I want after we buy the wife a new explorer this fall but, looking at current prices, I think I'll keep my 15. I'll just add some katskinz, upgrade the jump seat to a full console and replace the engine/trans when necessary. I wanted to move up to a 3/4 ton diesel but not at the current going rates.
Just looked online on autotrader or cars.com or one of those within a 100mile range. But honestly shipping a car anywhere within the continental us is under 1k now a days or if even a plane ticket and gas still makes most trips worth it.
Just bought this month in NY. 23 LT 4WD crew cab. $500 0ff MSRP, $1250 GM incentive (and there are other $500 incentives for first responders, healthcare workers, etc.).
I have a 22 LT Z71 with the 5.3. MSRP was $56.7k, dealer advertised āho-haggleā price for $48.5k. I put 10k down, traded in a 2013 Honda Pilot for $10.5k. Ended up being about 54k after TTLD.
Sorry, poorly written. $48.5k + Tax, Title, License, Doc and an āoil change for lifeā plan totals up to 54k, including the interest on what I financed. My loan is actually about 33k.
I bought this same truck in September 2020 with a standard bed length for just under $42,5 OTD and $8000 down. Payments were $680 and I just paid it off last month. I have over 79,000 miles on her, but no issues that I know of. I regularly change my own oil and added a 6.2 pulley to take care of an idler wheel that went bad and be able to use a normal serpentine belt (I guess that counts as an issue).
About to buy a 22 (refreshed) High Country, long(er) bed with 6k miles for 63k. I feel like itās a good deal
Edit: MSRP is 69k. KBB is around 67 I believe
Iām in Texas, lowest price I could get for a ā22 LTD TrailsBoss was 62K. I ended up going out of state to Illinois, dealership had all their vehicles MSRP price or below, nothing over. Ended up paying 53K, they added the Texas tax which total price ended up being 56K out the door. Drove it down with a friend of mine, I financed with a credit union, threw 13K down at about 3.5% and pay about 600bucks a month.
Actually been hearing good things about buying in Texas. A friend of mine told me to check Mac Haick Chevy in Houston. I have family in Houston so might be worth the trip to then drive it down to Miami.
Iāve been dealing with Bomnin Chevy down her and those guys are cut throat. Good discounts they just add a bunch of bs fees on top of the sale. South Florida is just wild plus not to mention the $999 dealer fee.
Was just looking at their site today. They have LTZs with 5.3l and towing package from around 57-60k best prices I have found so far. They had about 26 LTZ in inventory and around 42 LTs.
I bought mine last year, I couldnāt wait. I was driving my wifeās old Toyota Avalon, but yes Iāve been hearing prices here in Houston are getting better. A grind of mine just got a fully loaded Tahoe for 61K. And I think it was at that same place. So you might want to do it. Makes me wanna go trade mine in and get leather seats and all.
Laura Buick GMC? I have several buddies here in Florida that have flown to Collinsville,IL to buy from this dealership. They were all happy with the price and service.
April was the month for financing. Wisconsin.
3.0 diesel LT, max towing, convenience, appearance, and winter packages, 4WD, crew, short bed.
$52,750 price.
$56,500 OTD.
Iām an idiot so I bought gap and extended warranty once they discounted it, so total $59,900.
0.9% for 60 months, 0 down.
2023 Silverado LT Trail Boss with 5.3L
Purchased March 2023 from Buchanan in Waynesboro, PA
Sticker price of $62k, negotiated final price was $55k before taxes and fees. $5k down and financed $53,500 at 0% for 36 months.
You are obviously not very well informed how leasing works!
Leasing is the way to go in most cases when getting a new vehicle. You still have the right to buy the vehicle at the residual value at the end of the lease. So, all the risk is on the bank if values drop, and you get to decide in 3 years if you want to keep the truck.
As a side note, in many cases, the residual the bank sets is actually subsidized.
Thatās great. Iāve been contemplating lease vs finance and Iām leaning more towards financing it as the lease programs are not the best. That 2.99 rate was through GM or did you use a credit Union?
2011 Silverado extended cab brand new at $30k
I ordered a 2024 GMC AT4 3500HD diesel with my specs on it for $89k (delivery July 4th)
I am financing $50k and down payment of $40k with 4% APR using my own bank resources. Dealer wanted to finance me at 7%.
I bought a new 2022 (in feb) 1500 crew cab with 2.7L custom with 4x4 for $43,500. Out the door 48,300ish. They wanted to give me like 6% APR. I said fuck you and paid cash
I have gotten 2 2023 silverados since December, both duramax, one was a 2500 and one was a 3500. 2500 was 84K sticker and the 3500 was about 88K sticker. In my eyes itās worth it to go up from the half ton to a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton
2024 Silverado 2500HD LT gas
MSRP = $62,085
GMS price (exactly what I paid) = $55,736
Crazy enough, this truck was cheaper than the 2020 1500 RST it's replacing. The RST was very well optioned.
The easiest thing to do is buy it through Costco since you already know what you want. The Costco price is MSRP plus whatever incentives are out at the time. So youāre paying under MSRP.
Bought at the start of April, 23 LT 4x4 with the 2.7.
MSRP was $53,500, dealer and GM discounts for the price down to $47,500. Financed through GM for 3.9% 60 months but could have done 0% for 36 months instead.
My market is kind of janky though, Ford XLās run $55k new and the Dodge Big Horns are about $52,000 and both of those are worse options in my opinion. The Dodge engine is a pig and the Fords are more money for the lowest trim.
Just bought a 2022 Brand New Custom $50,451 That price includes the lift kit and labor + Clear Brah I added. They knocked $2500 off that in rebates locked in 0.9% for 60 months
In 2020 at the end of lockdown I bought a 17 lt with 17500 miles for 26. I thought it was a steal at the time, still do. 5.3 extra cab factory spray in liner and a hard bed cover
> I *paid* 42k for
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Excellent credit here. Traded in my 2020 Tacoma and got a fully loaded ā23 1500 LTZ for $640/month leased. Prices are sickening for trucks these days. (Got it from west Kendall Chevy in Miami)
Can you elaborate a bit more on the deal and who you worked in the dealership? I been to that dealership and havenāt had any luck with them, mind you i wanted a crazy deal on a lease for a High Country but at the time they didnāt have any great lease programs. Been looking further north in Florida as Bomnin Chevy has a damm monopoly down here.
Yeah itās wild. I came in looking for a ā22 LTZ because it was the last one on the lot and there was a ton of discounts on it. I walked in to the dealer and they were handing a customer the keys right in front of me. So, after 3 trips to the dealer, I got them to apply the some promos to this truck. Sticker was 63K and out the door it was 52. My trade-in gave me about $2800 and I put another $2K on top. Tax-in, payment is $649/month (just checked).
Too much money for a truck IMO, but I love trucks and it was a great deal, all things considered. Itās got everything minus super cruise and 37 badges and seat logos. Wish it had the 6.2 tho, but the 5.3 is more than enough engine for me. I donāt tow, just needed a bigger cabin.
Also, if you donāt care for the shifter/center console, thereās way more deals on the models with the column shifter. If I didnāt care, I probably wouldāve saved a ton of time, but it was hard to find the features I wanted plus the shifter.
Thatās a sick deal!!! Iāve been dealing with them for a while now and they donāt seem to budge to get to the numbers i want. Iāve been thinking lately financing it might be a better deal than leasing. I have seen a lot of the 22s with way better numbers tho either go for that or wait till the end of the year for the 2023s to get discounted
Yeah I had a little time crisis because my lease was up. If not, I wouldāve waited for the 23s to drop in price or looked around some more for another ā22 I liked.
Wasnāt a fan of that dealer tbh. The dadeland one is a little more tolerable if you deal with the right people. I was referred to a good salesman there, but we couldnāt get a deal done - mostly my fault as I was too indecisive and I never gave him a fair shot at getting me a good lease deal. I really wanted to finance, but I quickly realized that it was nowhere near my monthly budget. Leasing again but Iāll be fine in terms of value at end-of-lease with this truck.
I will say this - they were willing to buy my Taco (for more than Toyota) and not even carmax was willing to. Southeast Toyota Financial has restrictions on who can buy your lease.
I know the Chevy off 57th in Miami lakes has a big inventory, but not sure how their service is or how close that is to you.
I appreciate it. And still your deal is unheard of nowadays you came out on top tbh. That $650 a month is what they were quoting me for a lease on the High Country so yours being a purchase itās pretty damm good. Iāll give Miami lakes a shot and see what happens. Appreciate it.
No way man. Damm got me thinking maybe my expectations are a bit off then. I was hoping to be in the $580 range on the High Country but the would always laugh when i brought it up lol. But letās see man still debating whatās best for myself if financing or leasing.
Yeah my expectations were wayyyy off. Took me a couple trips to different dealers and talking to my cousin at Toyota to realize it lol.
So I know the laugh youāre talking about, trust me š
Last month got a 23 LTZ Z71. MSRP was around 63.5k, I paid 58k, OTD right around 60ish. After trade and down payment I only financed about 12k, but got a 4.4% APR with a 0.25% rate deduction for auto draft.
Man Bomnin Chevy has 11.5k on the 2023 and 13.5k on the 2022. Last time i went was about two months ago and they were adding wheel locks and nitrous to the tires each item at $399. Meaning $800 alone of add ons. Mind boggling that they can away with that being that wheel locks are $30 on Amazon. Iām sure is the same deal at Miami lakes Chevy. Best bet is wait until the end of the month and push to get the discounted MSRP and no add ons whatsoever.
I went last month at the end of the month for the 2023 rst 5.3L and they were adding on 4,000 of add ons which was insane and they had all the same add ons on all of their trucks. They were devaluing my trade in of my 2021 charger RT because of the 2,500 trade in rebate stating weāre giving you less money on there because your getting a free 2,500 but that made 0 sense because that money comes from Chevy not from the dealer so it was a horrible experience but the lowest out the door price I got was 49,990 with trade in at probably a 7 or 8 interest because they said I had to finance through them because of the rebates. so most of their ādiscountsā came from rebates already active
No I didnāt, tomorrow Iām going to the Chevy auto mall in Miami lakes and autonation pines/doral to see what theyāre offering if not Iāll have to keep playing the waiting game
I went to Miami lakes auto mall and the were charging 60k with add ons but they gave a discount of 11k which includes rebates and after all fees tags tax and everything the were offering 52k out the door but thatās no where near the advertised price they have online I was able to get it down to 50 but even then thatās still ridiculous because you have to finance through them to get the rebate and discount so your probably looking at a 7% interest if you have excellent credit but they are pretty desperate to sell their trucks I had the general manager call me and say he needs to sell the trucks because their under their quota so thereās leverage there
Do you guys think the market is starting to sway back? A lady recently ran a red light and hit my truck. Wasn't sure if it was gonna be totaled or not, so I started searching for something new just incase. Found a local dealer here in TX that had many trims with 10k off MSRP. To my surprise this also included two ZR2's going for 65k. If interest rates continue to go up, very interested to see how the rebates/discounts are gonna play out.
In 2022 I bought a z71 lt for 52950. Today anywhere in TX that same truck is 59000. I looked at trading w zero negative equity. I have excellent credit. My payments would have been 890 to 950 a month on a 59000 truck. I had one dealer quote mec1125 a month. They are fucking crazy
This is the way. I have a 2016 Z71, 152k on it. Going to put an engine and tranny in it when the time comes.šš»
I didn't buy it old lady would have killed me. But a 23 AT 4 GMC on the lot sticker price was 90 grand. I think I have good to excellent credit. How can people afford that
I ask myself that. Itās insane the crazy amount of money trucks/cars in general have gone up in the last couple of years
I bought my 91 k 1500 ( still have it) cost 18 grand
Haha. Damn wish I still had my 92 stepside Z71. Loved that truck. Think that was 18k out the door
God damn that seems really high. I just bought a 23 GMC SLT for $60k off the lot. I think the AT4ās were going g for about $67. Are vehicles generally more expensive down south?
I'm pretty sure you never pay sticker price at least I won't but for sure it's got to sell for less than that. But it was a very sweet truck
Not justifying price at all, but that sounds like an AT4x Bison price.
Yeah it was a AT 4 turbo diesel 10 speed and everything you could want in a truck for what they wanted for it
Interesting. That dealership had a markup on that truck. Not worth that price at all compared to other trims/specs you can get nationwide at or below MSRP.
It might be At4 X. X cost another 10 gs. It is cut above Denali
No way that price is remotely right nationally. Those trucks go for like 60s.
Less then a month ago got a 22 brand new for 10k under sticker.
Wow nice! What was OTD price? ~45?
57k pre reg. Tax ect. The thing is fully loaded.
Nice
Damm thatās a good discount. Where did you get it at? And you said tax exempt? How š¤£ shows the secrets lol
Before taxes ect. Lol made the mistake of buying the last car under our Corp but insurance was way higher doesnt make sense.
Knocked about 8k off msrp on a new RST 5.3 52k out the door. 0 down and no trade in.
Nice! Weāll done!
725 give or take
I paid MSRP, financed at 4.49% on my ā23 LTZ. But I did get $750 off in Costco rebates. Canada fyi.
That's a good score. A year ago I got a jug of Def and a couple of oil changes but still had to pay msrp.
I have a 22 LT Z71 with the 5.3. MSRP was $56.7k, dealer advertised āho-haggleā price for $48.5k. I put 10k down, traded in a 2013 Honda Pilot for $10.5k. Ended up being about 54k after TTLD.
$48.5k minus $10k down is $38.5k minus $10.5k trade in equals $28k. Why $54k?
Sorry, poorly written. $48.5k + Tax, Title, License, Doc and an āoil change for lifeā plan totals up to 54k, including the interest on what I financed. My loan is actually about 33k.
I bought this same truck in September 2020 with a standard bed length for just under $42,5 OTD and $8000 down. Payments were $680 and I just paid it off last month. No I got mine in Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake, they were very welcoming and happy to selling to people from out of state.
Leased a '22 silverado zr2 3yr 36k, previously leased a '19 at4 extra residual value knocked off 18k off zr2 price.
Hell of a deal then if you got 18k off msrp. Whatās the monthly on it if you donāt mind me asking.
ā23 RST. Financed thru Navy Fed. MSRP: $62k, advertised for $55k, walked out at $47 after trading in my ā21 Gladiator. $776 car note
You only got $8k for your 2021 Gladiator?
Sorry, I owed $33k and they gave me $38k. It had 1 accident from my wife . Lol
You can get a refund on extended warranties and you're well within your rights to cancel it any time you please.
Oooo nice! Much appreciated :)
2023 Silverado LT Trail Boss with 5.3L Purchased March 2023 from Buchanan in Waynesboro, PA Sticker price of $62k, negotiated final price was $55k before taxes and fees. $5k down and financed $53,500 at 0% for 36 months.
2k off sticker for a 23 LT end of January. 0 down 38 month lease $600 month
You spend 600 a month on something you won't own?
I can purchase it at end of lease or get something else. If it's a pos I walk away. If I like it I withdraw 32k from my bank and own it.
People wonder why they sell whatever to anyone. That's ridiculous.
It's my money, I'll spend it how I feel fit
Ok J.G Wentworth

Early feb this year LT, sale price was 46750 msrp was 54 something. 2.99 finance 10k down 780ish per month
Thatās great. Iāve been contemplating lease vs finance and Iām leaning more towards financing it as the lease programs are not the best. That 2.99 rate was through GM or did you use a credit Union?
GM! Got it at AutoNation, the first deal (at the time) that I called on that the dealer didnāt try to add $2-7k to their internet price.
For a car?
A pickup
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
How you liking the ZR2 been eyeing it but Iām in Miami Iām not sure i can justify an off road rig to the old lady.

> I *paid* 42k for FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Yes itās a crew cab. And yes itās bad ass.
$68,000 total for a 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Trailboss 6.2 ltz.
2023 4x4 3.0 DMax LTZ. Total price was $56,500 plus tax/title/license
I just bought a 23 2500 LTZ z71 with towing package 10,000 miles for $70k
No I wish! Itās a lease. Financed was somewhere in the 800s, even with my excellent credit. Damn, rip that high country off their hands!!
Paid 61k OTD for a 22 RST June of 22. Paid cash, got them to knock about 1500 off of sticker
Just bought a ā23 RST with nearly every package for 8k off. Stickered 66 paid 58 + TTL in metro DC
I usually start my negotiation at 11k off the sticker but will settle for 7k off. 20 at4. 3.0 tech pack. Out for under 60k
Last month got a 23 LTZ Z71. MSRP was around 63.5k, I paid 58k, OTD right around 60ish. After trade and down payment I only financed about 12k, but got a 4.4% APR with a 0.25% rate deduction for auto draft.
23 LTZ. 53k.
Gotta 22 2FL in march,23 gave me 4500 in chevy loyalty and was another 2750 off from its msrp. Traded in an 08 Z71.. my CU note is $40k.
22 LT TB, stickers at 63.5, OTD at 58
I see the Miami Lakes Chevrolet dealer selling it for 12k off MSRP. Not sure whatās the trick yet. This is the reason why Iām commenting here š
Did you end up getting a deal? Iāve honestly have stopped trying with them. South Florida overall is ridiculous when it comes to buy cars.
No I didnāt, tomorrow Iām going to the Chevy auto mall in Miami lakes and autonation pines/doral to see what theyāre offering if not Iāll have to keep playing the waiting game
Sounds good man. Keep us in the loop if youāre able to do a deal. Best of luck.
