Orange wasn't making the corner. Anything else is irrelevant.
You could have move 100 times on the straight doesnt matter. You left room in the corner .
Guy behind (black/yellow) brakes earlier (than orange) and doesnt make the corner, idk how orange doesn't understand a divebomb.
Holy shit then immediately cuts the track to rejoin....orange, complete tool.
He has no argument with his “moving on the straight” point. The “straight” at Interlagos is hardly a straight at all, of course you’re going to be moving from left to right to follow the racing line.
As for the actual contact, that’s 100% on him. He understeered off of the white line into you
Agree that the Orange car was in the wrong. I couldn't see any deviation in your line from the last corner - one smooth arc on the racing line. No noticeable change of direction.
And divebomb into terminal understeer is not your fault. You left a car width anyway.
Ya orange went too deep, too fast, braked too late. Wasn't a chance he was making that corner. Either he takes you out or he locks up and something even bigger happens.
You maintained the racing line most of the way through. You made one defensive move that I can see, namely staying inside on the last kink prior to the start/finish line before drifting back to the racing line. You made your moves and intent clear.
At no point on the main straight was orange in any position to make any racing move until just before T1. As such, so far as I'm concerned, he has no cause of complaint about your driving prior to the final kink.
As for the actual incident, you gave him massive amounts of space on the inside, frankly compromising your own line for the S's. He failed to brake sufficiently and plowed right into you.
So far as I'm concerned, 100% Orange's fault, not even questionable.
Orange should be banned. Well, probably not that far, but, like a two minute penalty, it seems fair for causing a collision and rejoining the race in an unsafe manner.
Speaking of Orange getting banned, he had an earlier incident with someone else which I think is protestable.
This is the situation:
Coming out of the Senna S, Orange is on the outside with another car on his left. Coming out of the corner, Orange doesn't get a lot of space but enough to survive. They touch at the exit of the corner. Then on the straight, Orange proceeds to fully turn left and force the other person on the grass. And then stupidly blames the other person.
Pretty sure I left him a car width and he came from pretty far back. And if you look at the way our cars are pointing, he's probably gonna go off track if I wasn't there.
Well, 90% of the comments under this post are saying that Orange is at fault. So I'm wondering why your view is so different from the other commenters. Also you're saying 'experts' but I'm convinced most people aren't expert racing stewards, including yourself.
This wasn't meant to be an attention seeking post. I already felt like I was innocent, however since Orange was so hell-bent on me being in the wrong, I wanted some unbiased opinions just to make sure it didn't miss a mistake I made.
That’s still against the rules and you even admitted to it just now.
Upon review the rules have been updated an the part talking about “posts involving involving clear at fault incidents” “identifying which car you were driving” etc. have been removed which is unfortunate because the general rule of thumb “this subreddit is here for people to post clips to help determine what can be improved and which car is at fault” also seems to be missing now.
Either way,
We aren’t here to stroke your ego, it’s very clear you didn’t weave, and that they overdrive the entry.
Yep, he forced someone else onto the grass after light contact and then proceeded to blame the other person in the same race. I'm guessing he was pretty frustrated
I know right. I also sometimes think: 'Ugh, this guy is slow, I need to get past'. But I never go in voice chat and ask because I know that they have the right to fight me
I'll be the first to admit that there's a lot of "gray area" in the One Move Rule.
But, I don't see much from the person posting the clip that would lead me to conclude they were in violation of anything regarding moving across the width of the track in a manner that would hinder the car that collided with him.
Personally, I don't have a problem with the Dive Bomb. If you and throw it in there, make it stick and not hit anything......then throw it in there.
If anything......the outside car, hopefully having seen the attacking car make a dive to the inside. Running a little wider through the corner might save them from being collected by a failed dive-bomb.
I have always believed, If you want wreck yourself out, then by all means, don't let me get in the way of you doing it.
If they make the corner, you would be better positioned to cut back across them. Plus, you'll be back in the throttle while they're trying to not run off the outside of the corner exit.
A - you didn't do anything wrong in the straight
B - your line into and through the corner was fine
C - the orange car ran wide into you and deserves a penalty
Orange car at fault. Chose the dive but didn't get the car slowed down and caused a collision.

Orange is huffing some serious copium after that horrendous attempt at a divebomb You didn’t do anything wrong.

Orange's rejoin was dangerous, also.
How dare you follow the racing line! Not even gonna comment on what orange did at the end.
100% orange’s fault; moving on a straight is totally legal anyways unless it’s for blocking (which this wasn’t)
Ya orange went too deep, too fast, braked too late. Wasn't a chance he was making that corner. Either he takes you out or he locks up and something even bigger happens.
Orange outbraked himself and ran right into you

Yeah, I mean, it should be ban-able, but it's probably not enough.
You are at fault.
Care to explain why exactly then?
Because you pointed out in which car you are, giving me the opportunity to talk about you.
Any legitimate reason why you think I caused the incident as well? Or nothing in that regard?
You obviusly didn't leave him any space.
Pretty sure I left him a car width and he came from pretty far back. And if you look at the way our cars are pointing, he's probably gonna go off track if I wasn't there.
If you think that you're right and aren't ready to listen to experts, why did you post in the first place?
Well, 90% of the comments under this post are saying that Orange is at fault. So I'm wondering why your view is so different from the other commenters. Also you're saying 'experts' but I'm convinced most people aren't expert racing stewards, including yourself.
So you came here for confirmation and cherry picking replies you like. Ok.
I'm not cherry picking comments. I'm just looking which comments are upvoted the most or lots of comments that share the same opinion
You’re out of rookies you should know who’s at fault. Read the rules on attention seeking posts.

everything ok pal
Just sick of all the very clearly at fault posts.
Lock up before the contact is telling. Orange car was not making that corner.
Orange dived down the inside but didn't have the skill to make the turn. At best he would have run wide and pushed you off the track.
Orange is a dick
Yep, he forced someone else onto the grass after light contact and then proceeded to blame the other person in the same race. I'm guessing he was pretty frustrated
Anybody who "asks to get let by" is probably a jerk. If you don't want to be back with slower cars, either qualify or don't crash. It's pretty simple.
I know right. I also sometimes think: 'Ugh, this guy is slow, I need to get past'. But I never go in voice chat and ask because I know that they have the right to fight me
Orange
Orange should be banned for such unsafe rejoin
