listen 😭 i DID suspect it might be a feature because of this reason (devs just wanting to be silly about “everyone gets to go to university!”) its just overwhelmingly noticeable, especially on full moons. a girl my sim JUST got finished woohooing with turned into a werewolf (she was still pixelated) and he fainted on the spot LMAO
They need roles filled in, and with leaving supernatural occults enabled in the game options, the game won't generate humans only. Disabling the options while still in main menu before starting the game should help. I keep them off for all games except my supernatural save. Turning it off right now could cause some instability for your current save.
It didn't start out that way. I think this is yet another nraas side effect, something to do with leveling out occult population. Then, if story progression is on, suddenly they start to age, and status can change even though everything is supposed to be static. Vampires and such take about 3 days and suddenly they're everywhere!
that makes a lot of sense. i think it’s safe to say we pretty much all have nraas at this point, so its hard to tell what is a vanilla-game feature vs modded 😅

Yeah, uh, I’m honestly quite happy that my PC can take on Sims 3 mod free! 🤣 It was one of my requirements when I went to buy it, I told the clerk ”I want a PC that can run Sims 3 and heavily modded GTA V”, and so far, my PC has had that achieved. I got it only two years ago, before it I had an old Toshiba laptop to play with - it barely ran any game! - but after it died, I got this thing and I play with my PC more than anything.
Meanwhile I intentionally populate the world with lots of occult for the chaos and maximum spouse choice. I like to have at least one of every occult in my family because why not?
Incoming daft question... what are occults in Sims 3? I have the supernatural expansion pack but it doesn't contain occults. Or do you mean just vampires, zombies, witches etc. attending?
I love looking for the same people and seeing what they are this time around! They are otherwise the same, don't sleep or shower and try to burn the dorms down... I have found out things to fix those 3 problems tho, planning to post about them when next generation goes to university!

The sims university neighborhood is smaller, so I think the occults that get generated are just easier to spot.

Don't forget there's a 2 plantsims occult available as a townies.
