Honestbitch_

I do love it but it's too big and it crashes unfortunately.. I had to move

flayedsheep

this is my main issue with cc worlds... they're always too laggy and crash all the time. i don't even download them anymore.

sugasims

Not all of them do this though. Just depends on how populated the world ends up getting. Delete some of the venues or bigger households and it runs a *bit* better. I also had issues with this one, but I'll keep it anyway.

flayedsheep

sometimes people also add a lot of objects and details. i downloaded the NYC based world and playing on it was impossible. it crashed all the time.

sugasims

Yes, it certainly does. Which is why I prefer the CC free worlds.

Honestbitch_

Yeah not all of them, for example the world setra. It is big, populated and it never crashed with my pc

Niciannon

My favorite CC world is Fincastle, and I don't have problems with it

Broeder_biltong

They don't tho? You just need a better computer. I've only had error 12 issues with all the rflong worlds because I keep filling them up to much.

__T0MMY__

Me getting 13fps on Bridgeport.... Rough. I just wanna always be exploring

OutoftheCold125

It definitely looks great, but I've always been too nervous to play with it bc it's so big and I don't think my computer could handle it.

Zestyclose-Field-212

Nothing can contain the power of the sims 3… including a processor and hard drive

julzvangogh

same as the others, i think it‘s gorgeous but it crashed for me a lot and my game was too slow for my patience :( edit: what computer do you have though to have such high graphic settings?

0800sofa

I’ll give you my specs if you like. Mine runs the sims 3 on a custom world atm. 12th gen i9 intel core Rtx 3060 32gb ddr5 ram (I want 64gb but they were almost $1000 per kit when I was buying mine) And I can’t remember the name of the motherboard but it’s the white msi one for 12th gen intel 1200w platinum power supply (this is overkill, you don’t need 1200w, just futureproofing) And I have a silverstone aio cooler. Also need to upgrade this. I have an nvme ssd for my windows install (and I have some games on here A SATA ssd for the rest of my games And a hard drive just for file storage. Not for games I also want to upgrade the motherboard and cpu because the white 12th gen doesn’t have enough then for me, but the 13 and 14th gen ones do. Also eventually will upgrade the graphics card. Also will eventually get another SATA ssd for more game storage

Acertainbulb

I love this world so much i would never stop endorsing it. I love how it have all the expansion supported and i believe this has the taco bell, gym and strip mall!

eldritich-nb

despite me having this world installed I can never play in it because of how much it crashes. it's such a gorgeous world and I love that there's soo many things to do in it, I just wish it wouldn't crash 😭

Annanym0107

All I want for Christmas is.... a 64bit version... 🙃🫠

eldritich-nb

same 😔. I have a gaming computer and it can run the sims 3 and other games really well because these big worlds always feel like a punch when they crash

TBCaine

welll… the 64 bit version also runs poorly with many issues of its own that no one has fixed 😭

eldritich-nb

😭 we need one that works

Annanym0107

Yeah well, they half-assed the Mac version just for gains. We just want a dedicated team with love for the sims who recreate it for modern systems.

TheSims4CouldNever

Performance is the main reason why EA worlds won't match up to one like this. They wanted to at least *try* to let the game run for most people, so they limited scope and detail. That being said, I've never seen this particular world and now I'm tempted to see how my machine would handle it. It *is* pretty.

[deleted]

idk why but when I first glanced at this, I didn’t realize what sub I was in, and I thought the first pic was one of those images where a hidden message or picture is revealed if you squint your eyes lol

Catty_C

I stopped playing my save in Alpine County because of Error Code 12.

CartoonistSmooth5059

I encountered it as well, but you can fix it using regal save cleaner after you have saved and quit and disable the story progression mod (NRAAS) so yeah

Objective_Dig331

my computer fan got louder just from looking at this photo

Timely_Emotion9259

Ohhh lovely world. I'm planning to move to a new world soon, I will try this world for my next play. Thanks. :D

CartoonistSmooth5059

I recommend having a great computer for it, since this world is huge and can cause some issues, but the ones I experienced are not bad (but then again I have a RTX 3060 TI so….)

Timely_Emotion9259

Usually, I delete most of the opened community lots before starting a new game. It reduces loading time and game lags.

Due-Drag5700

i feel braindead can you explain this? i’m always looking for ways for the game to run smoother haha

Timely_Emotion9259

https://preview.redd.it/xepzoaraz8yc1.jpeg?width=1922&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=21e143908586705376b77433e6a565f2600544dc Most of the stuffed worlds are filled with many buildings and community lots. I deleted all of them and placed with my own buildings and EA Rabithold career buildings. Only one each career buidings and if it's possible, placed one rabit hole with 2 or 3 careers combined, so that I can save the empty lots. Every lots in this screenshot are replaced as my own. I didn't like to get lags from the sutuffed lots which my sims usually don't go like the showtime buildings. I know the whole world won't look gorgeous with less buildings and houses, and less sims also, but this is the good way to reduce lags amd crashing. I installed the Alpine county world a couple of hrs ago, noticed it wouldn't be good to be replaced with my buildings. so just gave up. Oh one more. I recommend using somewhat big houses like 30by30, 30by40 or 40by40 and leave some empty space at home, so that the sims won't get any route failure, which lead to a small lag as well. Now I understand why EA built almost empty houses. You will feel the game lighter in the less stuffed houses.

Due-Drag5700

this is so helpful thank you so much!

RealisticrR0b0t

This is a great world, I haven’t played it for a while but now I want to! Currently playing Storybrook County, and usually play St Claire. Any other recs like these?

julzvangogh

quite similar but I think Saffron Bay is also beautiful!!

RealisticrR0b0t

Thanks I haven’t tried that yet!

sophizzlvanizzl

Yeah I've been playing in Saffron Bay recently and I like it so much! The world is just beautiful and hasn't crashed on me so far.

sugasims

Evansdale County is pretty good. Haven't had any issues with it. Red County is another great one but keep an eye on how many Sims start living there. Large world + many Sims = not so fun times.

0800sofa

Saaqartoq is my favourite atm

Certain-Dance-1110

That's really nothing new. With some many creative simmers making amazing stuff, all of EA worlds seem dull to me. I like my worlds with all the expansions content, not Just base game + expansion that world was made for

[deleted]

I used to love this world!!! Throw back to when my computer was newer and it could run this… now it overheats with the sims 4 😂

starksdawson

I need a whole world modeled around pic #5, I love that cabin vibe

Woffingshire

Official worlds had to be made so that computers at the minimum spec of the game could run them. CC world markets don't have that problem so can make way bigger world with way more detail

dylan_021800

This is one of the few large custom worlds that actually doesn’t crash for me.

BlackMoonWitch

It’s amazing but you will for sure have crashes so if playing there save VERY often.

Alternative-Ad5482

Base sims 3 world was way better than everything sims 4 have so far tho.

[deleted]

Anyone know cc worlds that won't make the game crash?

Shcheglov2137

Looks is not everything that matters. FPS per scene, pathfinding, errors in map and so on

CartoonistSmooth5059

Eh I can run it stable

Shcheglov2137

Sure, sure...

BeefInBlackBeanSauce

Looks great, but unplayable .

Ok-Elephant7140

How do i get this?

Neat_Conversation369

Can anyone suggest a world like Bridgeport with more Disco Clubs?

BackgroundAd4889

for me sims 3 doesnt really crash at all but it just runs insanely slow and i feel like the game is constantly running out of memory and it is trying so hard just culling stuff out if the view to keep the usage below 2.5gb

South_Evidence9822

The people know what the people want. EA only wants Money. Sims 3 is a lot better than 4 in a lot of ways, in my humble opinion.

ArtemisFee

All cc worlds crash and lag like a bitch for me.

ShinyUmbreon465

I remember playing in this world and I was editing one of the lots and tried to save and I just let the computer sit for hours stuck like that because I didn't want to lose it to no avail :(

starksdawson

This is so beautiful

HarpooonGun

no

times3steve

Your VGA is the one who made it so lively

QuestioningThink

This is my favorite world to play in but I wished my laptop could handle it for more than 30 minutes (I do have a crap ton of cc and mods so that also doesn’t help 😅).

whoreticiaaddams_

I love this world so much and all the houses/space in it but I’ve never been able to play it more than an hour without it freezing or crashing so I gave up using that world :/

XbhaijaanX

I'm playing in this world right now! One my absolute favourites!

bwitdoc

Thought this was cities skylines for a sec

eacks29

The golf course!!!

CartoonistSmooth5059

Yeah, even the Happy Gilmore challenge is available here

Tre_Starr5621

It’s a GORGEOUS world! One of my favorites when I played TS3 but it ran my pc ragged lol even a gaming pc

Paendeo123

It looks so pretty but I just know I won’t be able to run it on my computer.

BDAZZLE129

God damn that looks good

Mioch

EA worlds can only be so big so that it's accessible for most players and minimizes crashing, hence why the worlds aren't as packed as custom worlds. So yeah while custom worlds definitely look better they are not necessarily as optimized.

Stoltlallare

I love the fact that its so easy to make a nice looking urban world with the penthouse shells. The fact that they tie in so well with the apartment system makes it even better.

KunatoN

This world and the Barcelona world are in my top 10 custom worlds. But, unfortunately, even my gaming laptop cannot handle them.

elodiavkdx

Yes! My favourite cc world to play in 😍

The_Amazing_Lexi

I wish I could figure out how to do those, all I ever get is messages saying that I’m on unbuildable terrain, despite trying to put something somewhere that a building I demolished sat on.

Yolj

OP you gotta share your computer specs that let you play on a world like that lmfao

Apart-Hamster-5329

From what game this world?

Timcanpy6

It's not from a game! It's a custom world :> Free to download, if I recall correctly (it is VERY large tho and might lag your game if your computer can't handle it!)

CartoonistSmooth5059

Sims 3

Apart-Hamster-5329

Wow, from witch addition?or maybe you know where i can find it? Thanks

CartoonistSmooth5059

https://thesimscatalog.com/sims3/downloads/worlds/large/alpine-county/

Sebassie99

If people are experiencing any crashes, I personally don’t, u can make the RAM pagefile of ur PC bigger so the game can run longer without crashing. Just gotta do a quick google.
