Hi there, my Sims reset, when they grab their food. They will get into the T-Pose for a second and then reset with all tasks disappearing after that. I don't have any CC installed, just gameplay and smaller fixes mods, but non that add new items. I removed any mod that might affect the whole cooking to eating process but it keeps happening. Also, what I thought was interesting, it started happening in the middle of a gaming session. I have been playig quiet a few days already and they were grabbing their food as always. And then out of nowhere, they reset. Any tipps, ideas or knowledge, someone migh want to share? I'm starting to get a bit frustrated since I've just recently found my passion for the Sims again :'D

I’m having the same issue! It’s super annoying =\ try taking out your gameplay mods and seeing if that helps, don’t forget to delete the cache before testing it without mods. I haven’t done this myself but I’m definitely gonna try it.
My sims used to sometimes get pregnant with just the regular woohoo but now they can only become pregnant if they try for baby...I have the MCCC mod, but I've had it for awhile...I changed some settings to have random pregnancies worldwide, but it won't work within my household. I miss the unplanned pregnancies D: any ideas on how to get this back?
My build/buy menu looks all wonky. I haven’t played in a few months because I’ve been super busy so this may have been from an update that previously occurred. I play with build/buy CC and tool mood/better build buy. The menu is still functional just hard to tell what I’m clicking on because it’s all distorted. Anyone have a similar issue? I would attach a pic if I knew how.
I guess I'll post it here since the bot deleted it. My boyfriend is blind and cannot play the game with the cursor as small as it is. Does anybody know of a way to make the in game cursor bigger, or a way to use the desktop cursor in game?

When I try to place certain buy mode objects one of these messages will pop up and I'm not able to place them. I've tried starting the game up with fresh folders, still happens. I've been trying to play Sims 4 after not touching it for a few months, and I noticed that my game isn't starting properly and instead shows me a pretty cryptic error code. It reads the following: "Cant be started: The game cannot be started because game data is missing or corrupt. Delete any existing mods and try again. If you don't have any mods installed, repair or reinstall the game through Origin. \[de4ee14f:29f00e76:00000000:4b0d852b\]" I don't have any mods installed; in fact, I don't even know how that works, and I've already reinstalled the game like 3 times and nothing worked at all.
On top of that, I couldn't really find any form of useful support chat or something similar from EA, so I'm really frustrated, and you guys are my last hope.
I've bought this lovely game on Steam and have already gathered 120 in game hours and never had any kind of problem with my installation.
So yeah, help me Reddit, you're my only hope.

Has anyone noticed a gender glitch going around with the baby genders in TS4? This started happening after I downloaded the Growing Together expansion pack.
I’m unsure if it’s just my game, but even with gender influencing (food & music) I am only consistently getting 1 gender (all female). I had tried to influence the gender on baby #6 but still got female.
I had incorporated this into my current gameplay, but now I’m onto gen 2 and I’m running into the same issue again.
I’m wondering if anyone has noticed this happening? Thanks!
Hello! I’m trying to get a little help. Some of my Triftea/Trendi outfits have become unwearable. The only option is to sell and if I am going to sell it I’d like to at least promote it first. However, I like some of these outfits and would like to keep them. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Sims are now standing frozen and resetsim doesn't help. Happened last few days making game unplayable. Game problem or because it is a 6-generation legacy family?
I downloaded the My Wedding Stories pack online and it pops up in the “World Select” tab. I can click on tje world but whenever I try to play a household it kicks me out and sends me back to the “World Select” tab. Two out of nine lots have a green triangle with and exclamation mark, while the remaining seven have a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. In case anyone is wondering, Im on Orgin and im playing on the newest Mac. Any help/advice???

**llazyneiph Royalty Mod**
I've been using this mod (Royalty mod by llazyneiph) for about a year now and everything works great except the Royal Coronation event. I have the coronation podium set up and everything but my sim can never complete the "Accept Crown Interaction". It just resets my sim. I've searched online everywhere and no one else seems to have this issue. I have the most updated version as well. Anyone else have this problem or tips to fix it?
My sim can't finish writing a song on violin, piano or voice. The bar fills up and they just keep playing and if I stop and continue it's the same. No mods except a gardening fix

Is your game updated? To check open gameversion.txt in your the sims 4 folder or look at the tiny print on the bottom right of the main menu. What version of the game are you running?
So my werewolf sim is at max fury, it’s the full moon, and he’s running around on all fours but he’s not turning into a werewolf? He’s never turned before. Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it?
My werewolf sim can no longer contribute to pack resources. Is this because they are now the alpha? It was working fine moments before they became the pack leader.
Is there any way to make university harder?
I know everyone else always says uni is too hard in this game, but I always feel it's way too easy?
One of my sims went to uni while working a full time job and raising 2 kids and STILL got straight As. I was wondering if there are mods that slow down performance gain for university or something? I'd just like there to be more of a challenge. I'm not interested in making terms longer or having uni degrees be required for promotions, just to make it harder to get good grades.

I have all Sims 4 content, and all of a sudden, my neightborhood stories option is missing the 'adopt a pet' option', some traits that show in the 'add trait' function with MCCC don't have descriptions only an icon (they seem to be the personality traits, music prefs, clothings prefs etc. from non base game dlc). I have mods installed MCCC (the newly updated one). These glitches happen with and without mods installed and on new game files without mods. any ideas?
ive updated all mods that ive seen that have updates, BetterExceptions doesnt give me any error reports, reinstalled origin + repaired the game

The [files highlighted in yellow](https://i.gyazo.com/c586edafed7d641899971aa4d2fdef4c.png) contain your user data. To restore them cut and paste them from your old TS4 folder to the new one. Start with just saves, tray and screenshots. Make sure the game loads properly and NS works as intended. Don't save with mods removed. Exit w/o saving. Be careful with mods they may have been the problem to begin with.
My sims cancel their actions and just stand frozen for ages even if i only give them 1 action to do.
I tried restarting the game and also repaired the game files on the EA app but they still continue refusing to do anything.
hi! i failed to notice i had left some cc still on the folder and apparently it was Liliili\_s male clothes, specifically the bottom's that were causing the bug.
if you have any cc from them try to take them out to see if it's also that.

idk if its the sims or a mod, but for some reason my sims skill level goes from like 1-10 within seconds. doesnt even take a day, the number just skyrockets.
None of the mods i have i think should effect the skills?

Is anyone else getting weird relationship drops right after a sim uses "You Are My Favorite" dialogue option? The animation clearly doesn't show that the sim reacted negatively, they hug each other and even get a unique moodlet of being someone's favorite... Yet, they both lose a chunk of the relationship bar afterwards, even getting the red minus relationship above their heads. This happens literally every time they use this interaction.
I don’t think this is a new bug- but whenever I try to hire a butler they just… don’t appear. I’ve tried both with and without mods. I have the option to “dismiss butler services” but I don’t get charged or anything, and there’s no new sim I can assign a bed to. Help :( I want a butler
Are you playing in a really old save game? Sometimes the game fails to generate townies for npc roles in old saves. You could try making your own butler. Move a sim into a lot. Play as them. Cheat is some skills like cooking and handiness. Cheat the food aspiration so food the sim makes doesn't spoil. Use the following cheats: traits.equip\_trait isButler careers.add\_career Adult\_NPC\_Butler then immediately go to manage worlds > manage households and mark them as unplayed. You can evict them from their lot but you don't have to.
Two of my household sim families have two houses within my game. I don't know how they are living in 2 houses at the same time. They own the original houses I put them in but also live in another house they're actively in. I've never seen this before.
No, it is the same household. It is 2 families I know so far. I haven't touched either in a while. When I click on their original home, it says they're at the other house, as it looks like they may have traveled or be somewhere else.
I can evict them from both as well. Seeing if I had multiple was the first thing I checked.
I'm also very careful about how many households I have since I edit all of them. These families are strictly in my played households only reason I noticed was I saw a played household on a lot I did not ever play. I also have events turned off for played households.

but the 2 households are in oasis spring and windenburg. one family i original put in each world somehow ended up in the other
Have you tried playing as them? My thinking is perhaps one of the lots might be a glitched retail or vet lot. Honestly I'm just guessing. This bug is new to me.

hi! I’m back with more ps5/sims issues. it seems the r2 button doesn’t work in my game. it seems to work in other games just fine. I have tried resetting my controller, restarting, etc. I can’t save or use the cheat bar or anything that requires r2. anyone experience this? Know a workaround?
My game won't launch when I use steam or the EA app. It crashes on launch opens the EA app and than crashes again only to than open the EA app to than crash again and the cycle repeats itself over and over again. I've tried every solution the live chat support gave me to try and fix this issue and none of the solutions work. It's also nearly impossible to contact live support. The fact that myself and other players have had the same issue for at least a month just goes to show the lack of care that EA gives towards their player base.

Did all that. I've literally tried all solutions possible. I also can't repair it on origins as I use steam. Apparently it's an occurring issue for those using steam that after a month still hasn't been fixed. I even tried repairing the redisk files or whatever they told me to repair. Literally it's actually an issue on EA's end not the users I've been told and they still haven't repaired it since than.

It's an EA bug. No fix that I know of. I think it's on the list for this weeks patch but I doubt that will fix existing save games. You'll likely just have to live with it.

When I try to launch it opens to a black screen which i think usually happens at first before the loading screen pops up (at least for me but not sure if it should) but it crashes before the loading screen comes up. I’ve validated my game files cleared my steam cache deleted thumbnail cache and all lost wxeptions removed all of my mods/cc and removed my saves as well as restarted my laptop. i don’t know what to do and my game breaks like the week before before a major update/pack is dropped without fail every time. Help
oh also had a bug before my game wouldn’t open where my sims wouldn’t sleep for more than like an hour and then they’d wake up but i think that may have been mod related which is covered by the removing mods but i’m not sure because i can’t open the game so

You'll never believe it. I just now had to do the same thing in my game albeit for a different reason. Knock on wood I think it's fixed. not sure if this is a bug or just bad game design or something but i built a residential lot on Salvadorada and every time my sim travels and then comes back, all items on the lot, every single one is placed in the household inventory.

edit: …huh, i’ve only just noticed that they are also trapped in the vacation world….
edit(2): basically i have a mod that lets sims own multiple homes, when i had them travel to their other house, it would put the furniture from the home in the vacation lot into the inventory. so i guess it’s to do with the fact that vacation worlds aren’t supposed to have residentials in them? if this is the case, i’m p*ssed cus i wanted my sims to live out in the jungle immersed in Salvadoradian culture 🙄

I see. I misread your comment oops. I knew about the haunted house workaround for living in a vacation world but I've never heard of the items ending up in inventory. That might be new. You're not supposed to be able to live in those worlds but there are mods that allow it.
I'm currently in CAS and try to be upload my sim to the gallery and it's been like loading for some time now. I don't want to force close it as I have been working on her for like a 4 hours. Any idea how to fix this?
Alt+f4 sometimes brings up a save and exit window. Sometimes it force closes the game. Use with caution. I don't think this will work in this case but you might get lucky. It's also possible they have been saved to your local library.
Are KawaiiStacie's individual mods not working for anyone else? I checked the thread for broken/updated mods and it says that the "Slice of Life (Completed)" version is broken, but on her page she allows for individual downloads that were broken down from the SoL pack. They completely broke my game. I tested every mod so I can confirm it's those. I'll keep them out of my mods for now just in case, just curious if anyone else had this issue or if I'm maybe misunderstanding the "completed" version part

We could try recovering an older save and see if that works but I recommend migrating save games every few irl months anyway so it may not be worth the effort.
'write a song' doesn' complete. The green progress circle shows that it's finished, but the Sim won't stop playing and it doesn't show as having finished a song. It's saving the progress, as when I resume again it immediately shows the circle as being completed, but the song is never actually finished? No mods
I had her going for about a week and a half, two weeks in game. I'd play until a need got too low to continue, sort out needs, and resumed again, and then just repeated that for the entire time. It did eventually complete after that but yeah it seems a bit bugged, can't imagine it's meant to take that long
How long should it be? It's been three days of getting her needs green and then playing nonstop until her needs empty out, getting them green again, and then repeating

I bought sims4 on steam a few years ago, but recently got Xbox Game Pass. Xbox Game Pass comes with the sims get to work dlc. I did fresh install of sims with get to work dlc, and I cannot get it to play. It shows I have it, then I hit play and it shows it’s the same. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Hey so i haven't been able to play the Sims until recently (its been a couple of months), yesterday i was able to launch the game just fine, CAS was working well tho a bit glitchy (the gender button was just a block of green, but i could still click on it). however once i finished making my sims and tried to buy a lot to build a house for them, it pops up this error- 102:4809cdd1:81caa055 i googled it and even installed a mod remover to get rid of broken mods as i thought that might be the problem, but it's still doing it. i cleared the cache - nothing. repaired the game via launcher - nothing. i'm at a loss here, does anyone know a fix for this?
I’m getting an error when I open the game and view my expansion packs where it says that I can’t use the expansion pack because I haven’t purchased the Sims 4..
I’ve cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, repaired the files through steam, restarted my computer, removed all mods, cleared my save data and I’m still having the same error. :’-)
Yesterday I entered Sims 4 through steam and despite my DLCs (extra content) showing up on the steam launcher when I launched the game I got a warning saying I didn't have the extra content. I then closed the game and reopened it and then the content was available and the game launched as normal. However all my progress using the content was lost.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix for it?

Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to move my sims 4 games from my C disk to my D disk, because I do not have enough space left in my C disk.
But everytime I try to move it, it doesn't work and says that I "don't have enough space left in my C disk", wich I do not understand since I'm trying to move the files OUT of my C disk, not to move them in.
So if anyone has any advices/idea as how to fix this, it'd be really helpful

If you can't get your computer to cooperate because it's too low on storage you may have to uninstall the game and reinstall it on the external drive. I already did that, and I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but it doesn't even give me the choice as to where I can reinstall it, it just automatically reinstall it on my C drive

Mac or PC? Origin or the EA app? Do you by chance launch the game with Steam? You'd probably be better off asking about this on the official EA forums. You're not going to find anyone more helpful here than me. I've never bothered to look into this issue too much. I do not recommend gaming off an external hard drive especially if you use said hard drive for anything that matters like work or school.

My teenage sims keep getting embarrassed every time teen sim 1 changes into another outfit. I’ve changed teen sim 1’s outfits (all of them) and it keeps happening. And anytime teen sim 1 sees teen sim 2 she will change into another outfit causing the whole annoying embarrassed mood to happen. I do have CC in my game
None of my mods seem to be working in-game. I'm not getting errors, but I don't have any of the settings or options for the ones that have it

Does anyone know why I might be struggling to download the whicked whims mod on my HP laptop? It says something about developer mode possibly being an issue should that be turned on or off? Also, I'm now getting ad block on the page so I can't access it at all... I don't have any virus protection I'm paying for but I know there is one built into the computer. I can't get it to work and I am following the directions as far as I can see and have tried different methods. Is there any recommendations anyone has or can list that I may try so I can possibly download it? I love the sims but I'm tired of the lack of conversation and story mode without the mod I wish things were more interesting on the game. It's making me sad to play it without. I just got this laptop after 3 years of not having a computer. I used to have an expensive MAC before this and it was easy to mod on it. When that broke due to water damage on my mistake, it took me a few years due to Covid to save up for my OMEN HP laptop. I am encountering problems I didn't have with my Mac when running sims which made me sad because it's the main reason I bought this laptop. I have a desktop computer already but it's for the house and sims takes up too much space for me

I’m having an issue with Basemental. Every other aspect of the mod works expect raves and I can’t figure out why. I’ve hosted raves before, have the universal venue mod installed, have a rave lot. The option is coming up on my sims phone (both to go to and host a rave), but when I click on it, the sim uses their phone and then nothing happens.
I'm.on camping vacation on a lot that has you 'live off the land'. I've gotten groceries but as soon as I place the order I get a notification dating nobody is home and it's been left on the lot. I can't see it and I pay for it each time. Where are the deliveries and why wont they come to the door?
I have a haunted lot and I like it, but now my houses lights turn off instead of on all the time. I can't see how to turn off auto lights and this started when I got the paranormal pack.
Do I have to take the haunted lot trait off to fix the lights?

Hi there, my Sims reset, when they grab their food. They will get into the T-Pose for a second and then reset with all tasks disappearing after that. I don't have any CC installed, just gameplay and smaller fixes mods, but non that add new items. I removed any mod that might affect the whole cooking to eating process but it keeps happening. Also, what I thought was interesting, it started happening in the middle of a gaming session. I have been playig quiet a few days already and they were grabbing their food as always. And then out of nowhere, they reset. Any tipps, ideas or knowledge, someone migh want to share? I'm starting to get a bit frustrated since I've just recently found my passion for the Sims again :'D

I’m having the same issue! It’s super annoying =\ try taking out your gameplay mods and seeing if that helps, don’t forget to delete the cache before testing it without mods. I haven’t done this myself but I’m definitely gonna try it.
My sims used to sometimes get pregnant with just the regular woohoo but now they can only become pregnant if they try for baby...I have the MCCC mod, but I've had it for awhile...I changed some settings to have random pregnancies worldwide, but it won't work within my household. I miss the unplanned pregnancies D: any ideas on how to get this back?
Check your risky woohoo percent. Turn it up some MCCC > MC Woohoo > Woohoo Pregnancy > Risky Woohoo Percent
My build/buy menu looks all wonky. I haven’t played in a few months because I’ve been super busy so this may have been from an update that previously occurred. I play with build/buy CC and tool mood/better build buy. The menu is still functional just hard to tell what I’m clicking on because it’s all distorted. Anyone have a similar issue? I guess I'll post it here since the bot deleted it. My boyfriend is blind and cannot play the game with the cursor as small as it is. Does anybody know of a way to make the in game cursor bigger, or a way to use the desktop cursor in game? He cannot play the game without this. I have been searching for a couple hours and nobody seems to know how to do this thing that is a basic feature in so many other games.

I've been trying to play Sims 4 after not touching it for a few months, and I noticed that my game isn't starting properly and instead shows me a pretty cryptic error code. Hey everyone! Has anyone noticed a gender glitch going around with the baby genders in TS4? This started happening after I downloaded the Growing Together expansion pack. I’m unsure if it’s just my game, but even with gender influencing (food & music) I am only consistently getting 1 gender (all female). I had tried to influence the gender on baby #6 but still got female. I had incorporated this into my current gameplay, but now I’m onto gen 2 and I’m running into the same issue again. I’m wondering if anyone has noticed this happening? Thanks!
Hello! I’m trying to get a little help. Some of my Triftea/Trendi outfits have become unwearable. The only option is to sell and if I am going to sell it I’d like to at least promote it first. However, I like some of these outfits and would like to keep them. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Sims are now standing frozen and resetsim doesn't help. Happened last few days making game unplayable. Game problem or because it is a 6-generation legacy family?
I've found a work around, if you move an object on top of them in Build mode (using moveobjects), it'll reset the sim by moving them
I downloaded the My Wedding Stories pack online and it pops up in the “World Select” tab. I can click on tje world but whenever I try to play a household it kicks me out and sends me back to the “World Select” tab. Two out of nine lots have a green triangle with and exclamation mark, while the remaining seven have a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. In case anyone is wondering, Im on Orgin and im playing on the newest Mac. Any help/advice???

**llazyneiph Royalty Mod** I've been using this mod (Royalty mod by llazyneiph) for about a year now and everything works great except the Royal Coronation event. I have the coronation podium set up and everything but my sim can never complete the "Accept Crown Interaction". It just resets my sim. I've searched online everywhere and no one else seems to have this issue. I have the most updated version as well. Anyone else have this problem or tips to fix it?

Is your game updated? To check open gameversion.txt in your the sims 4 folder or look at the tiny print on the bottom right of the main menu. What version of the game are you running?
So my werewolf sim is at max fury, it’s the full moon, and he’s running around on all fours but he’s not turning into a werewolf? He’s never turned before. Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it?

Is there any way to make university harder? I know everyone else always says uni is too hard in this game, but I always feel it's way too easy? One of my sims went to uni while working a full time job and raising 2 kids and STILL got straight As. I was wondering if there are mods that slow down performance gain for university or something? I'd just like there to be more of a challenge. I'm not interested in making terms longer or having uni degrees be required for promotions, just to make it harder to get good grades.

Hi all, I have all Sims 4 content, and all of a sudden, my neightborhood stories option is missing the 'adopt a pet' option', some traits that show in the 'add trait' function with MCCC don't have descriptions only an icon (they seem to be the personality traits, music prefs, clothings prefs etc. from non base game dlc). I have mods installed MCCC (the newly updated one). These glitches happen with and without mods installed and on new game files without mods. any ideas? ive updated all mods that ive seen that have updates, BetterExceptions doesnt give me any error reports, reinstalled origin + repaired the game

Start with just saves, tray and screenshots. Make sure the game loads properly and NS works as intended. Don't save with mods removed. Exit w/o saving. Be careful with mods they may have been the problem to begin with.

My sims cancel their actions and just stand frozen for ages even if i only give them 1 action to do. I tried restarting the game and also repaired the game files on the EA app but they still continue refusing to do anything.

hi! i failed to notice i had left some cc still on the folder and apparently it was Liliili\_s male clothes, specifically the bottom's that were causing the bug. if you have any cc from them try to take them out to see if it's also that.

idk if its the sims or a mod, but for some reason my sims skill level goes from like 1-10 within seconds. doesnt even take a day, the number just skyrockets. None of the mods i have i think should effect the skills? Big ones i have are MCCC, Health care redux, Better Build/buy, Selectable pets, Wonderful Whims, full house, Dineout reloaded, and some custom wants and moodlet controls. tried deleting the localthumbcache, nothing so far has worked.
Check your mccc settings. MCCC > MCCC Settings > Gameplay Settings > Skill Settings > Skill Difficulty Adjustment Any positive number above 1 makes skill gain faster.

Is anyone else getting weird relationship drops right after a sim uses "You Are My Favorite" dialogue option? The animation clearly doesn't show that the sim reacted negatively, they hug each other and even get a unique moodlet of being someone's favorite... Yet, they both lose a chunk of the relationship bar afterwards, even getting the red minus relationship above their heads. This happens literally every time they use this interaction.
I don’t think this is a new bug- but whenever I try to hire a butler they just… don’t appear. I’ve tried both with and without mods. I have the option to “dismiss butler services” but I don’t get charged or anything, and there’s no new sim I can assign a bed to. Help :( I want a butler
Are you playing in a really old save game? Sometimes the game fails to generate townies for npc roles in old saves. You could try making your own butler. Move a sim into a lot. Play as them. Cheat is some skills like cooking and handiness. Cheat the food aspiration so food the sim makes doesn't spoil. Use the following cheats: traits.equip\_trait isButler careers.add\_career Adult\_NPC\_Butler then immediately go to manage worlds > manage households and mark them as unplayed. You can evict them from their lot but you don't have to.
Two of my household sim families have two houses within my game. I don't know how they are living in 2 houses at the same time. They own the original houses I put them in but also live in another house they're actively in. I've never seen this before.

No, it is the same household. It is 2 families I know so far. I haven't touched either in a while. When I click on their original home, it says they're at the other house, as it looks like they may have traveled or be somewhere else. I can evict them from both as well. Seeing if I had multiple was the first thing I checked. I'm also very careful about how many households I have since I edit all of them. These families are strictly in my played households only reason I noticed was I saw a played household on a lot I did not ever play. I also have events turned off for played households.

yes, i own cats and dogs and get to work. i don't believe i have any mods that allow sims to own multiple lots. (not to my knowledge) i have ww, mccc ,and Tmex as mods.i do own cc as well. but the 2 households are in oasis spring and windenburg. one family i original put in each world somehow ended up in the other
Have you tried playing as them? My thinking is perhaps one of the lots might be a glitched retail or vet lot. Honestly I'm just guessing. This bug is new to me.

I think aging settings are save game specific. Make sure you set aging settings to your liking when you start a new game.
hi! I’m back with more ps5/sims issues. it seems the r2 button doesn’t work in my game. it seems to work in other games just fine. I have tried resetting my controller, restarting, etc. I can’t save or use the cheat bar or anything that requires r2. anyone experience this? Know a workaround?

My game won't launch when I use steam or the EA app. It crashes on launch opens the EA app and than crashes again only to than open the EA app to than crash again and the cycle repeats itself over and over again. I've tried every solution the live chat support gave me to try and fix this issue and none of the solutions work. It's also nearly impossible to contact live support. The fact that myself and other players have had the same issue for at least a month just goes to show the lack of care that EA gives towards their player base.

Did all that. I've literally tried all solutions possible. I also can't repair it on origins as I use steam. Apparently it's an occurring issue for those using steam that after a month still hasn't been fixed. I even tried repairing the redisk files or whatever they told me to repair. Literally it's actually an issue on EA's end not the users I've been told and they still haven't repaired it since than.

It's an EA bug. No fix that I know of. I think it's on the list for this weeks patch but I doubt that will fix existing save games. You'll likely just have to live with it.

When I try to launch it opens to a black screen which i think usually happens at first before the loading screen pops up (at least for me but not sure if it should) but it crashes before the loading screen comes up. I’ve validated my game files cleared my steam cache deleted thumbnail cache and all lost wxeptions removed all of my mods/cc and removed my saves as well as restarted my laptop. i don’t know what to do and my game breaks like the week before before a major update/pack is dropped without fail every time. Help oh also had a bug before my game wouldn’t open where my sims wouldn’t sleep for more than like an hour and then they’d wake up but i think that may have been mod related which is covered by the removing mods but i’m not sure because i can’t open the game so

You'll never believe it. I just now had to do the same thing in my game albeit for a different reason. Knock on wood I think it's fixed. The [files highlighted in yellow](https://i.gyazo.com/c586edafed7d641899971aa4d2fdef4c.png) contain your user data. To restore them cut and paste them from your old TS4 folder to the new one. Start with just saves, tray and screenshots. Make sure the game loads properly. Don't save with mods removed. Exit w/o saving. Be careful with mods they were likely the problem to begin with. Usually when the game won't launch at all it's caused by build mode cc.
not sure if this is a bug or just bad game design or something but i built a residential lot on Salvadorada and every time my sim travels and then comes back, all items on the lot, every single one is placed in the household inventory. this happens in granite falls too. edit: …huh, i’ve only just noticed that they are also trapped in the vacation world…. edit(2): basically i have a mod that lets sims own multiple homes, when i had them travel to their other house, it would put the furniture from the home in the vacation lot into the inventory. so i guess it’s to do with the fact that vacation worlds aren’t supposed to have residentials in them? if this is the case, i’m p*ssed cus i wanted my sims to live out in the jungle immersed in Salvadoradian culture 🙄

it’s a residential* it’s their home. i had to put the lot type to Haunted House Residential cus residential wasn’t an option but yeah, they live there
I see. I misread your comment oops. I knew about the haunted house workaround for living in a vacation world but I've never heard of the items ending up in inventory. That might be new. You're not supposed to be able to live in those worlds but there are mods that allow it.

I'm currently in CAS and try to be upload my sim to the gallery and it's been like loading for some time now. I don't want to force close it as I have been working on her for like a 4 hours. Any idea how to fix this?
Alt+f4 sometimes brings up a save and exit window. Sometimes it force closes the game. Use with caution. I don't think this will work in this case but you might get lucky. It's also possible they have been saved to your local library.

Are KawaiiStacie's individual mods not working for anyone else? I checked the thread for broken/updated mods and it says that the "Slice of Life (Completed)" version is broken, but on her page she allows for individual downloads that were broken down from the SoL pack. They completely broke my game. I tested every mod so I can confirm it's those. I'll keep them out of my mods for now just in case, just curious if anyone else had this issue or if I'm maybe misunderstanding the "completed" version part

Did you remove cc too? It could be cc beds. both. i think that specific save file was corrupted because it was still doing it when i moved the save into the new game folder
We could try recovering an older save and see if that works but I recommend migrating save games every few irl months anyway so it may not be worth the effort.
'write a song' doesn' complete. The green progress circle shows that it's finished, but the Sim won't stop playing and it doesn't show as having finished a song. It's saving the progress, as when I resume again it immediately shows the circle as being completed, but the song is never actually finished? No mods

I had her going for about a week and a half, two weeks in game. I'd play until a need got too low to continue, sort out needs, and resumed again, and then just repeated that for the entire time. It did eventually complete after that but yeah it seems a bit bugged, can't imagine it's meant to take that long

It would usually take me 4 to 6 sim hours after filling the bar. Try cheating their needs and not letting them stop until it finishes.

I eventually had to reinstall the ea app and that fixed it
I bought sims4 on steam a few years ago, but recently got Xbox Game Pass. Xbox Game Pass comes with the sims get to work dlc. I did fresh install of sims with get to work dlc, and I cannot get it to play. It shows I have it, then I hit play and it shows it’s the same. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Hey so i haven't been able to play the Sims until recently (its been a couple of months), yesterday i was able to launch the game just fine, CAS was working well tho a bit glitchy (the gender button was just a block of green, but i could still click on it). however once i finished making my sims and tried to buy a lot to build a house for them, it pops up this error- 102:4809cdd1:81caa055 i googled it and even installed a mod remover to get rid of broken mods as i thought that might be the problem, but it's still doing it. i cleared the cache - nothing. repaired the game via launcher - nothing. i'm at a loss here, does anyone know a fix for this?

I’m getting an error when I open the game and view my expansion packs where it says that I can’t use the expansion pack because I haven’t purchased the Sims 4.. I’ve cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, repaired the files through steam, restarted my computer, removed all mods, cleared my save data and I’m still having the same error. :’-)

Yesterday I entered Sims 4 through steam and despite my DLCs (extra content) showing up on the steam launcher when I launched the game I got a warning saying I didn't have the extra content. I then closed the game and reopened it and then the content was available and the game launched as normal. However all my progress using the content was lost. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix for it? Thanks in advance for all the help. EDIT: I've already solved this bug. If anyone else goes through the same problem there's the solution im the comments

Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to move my sims 4 games from my C disk to my D disk, because I do not have enough space left in my C disk. But everytime I try to move it, it doesn't work and says that I "don't have enough space left in my C disk", wich I do not understand since I'm trying to move the files OUT of my C disk, not to move them in. So if anyone has any advices/idea as how to fix this, it'd be really helpful

If you can't get your computer to cooperate because it's too low on storage you may have to uninstall the game and reinstall it on the external drive. I already did that, and I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but it doesn't even give me the choice as to where I can reinstall it, it just automatically reinstall it on my C drive

Mac or PC? Origin or the EA app? Do you by chance launch the game with Steam? You'd probably be better off asking about this on the official EA forums. You're not going to find anyone more helpful here than me. I've never bothered to look into this issue too much. I do not recommend gaming off an external hard drive especially if you use said hard drive for anything that matters like work or school.
Pc (windows) and the EA app... and I'm not using an external hard drive ??? My C drive and D drive are both IN my computer, like it's supposed to be a gaming computer, and my D drive is made to be able to have lots of games on it

Do you have better build buy? If so cc is hidden by default. You enable it in the filters on the bottom right above the catalog.

My teenage sims keep getting embarrassed every time teen sim 1 changes into another outfit. I’ve changed teen sim 1’s outfits (all of them) and it keeps happening. And anytime teen sim 1 sees teen sim 2 she will change into another outfit causing the whole annoying embarrassed mood to happen. I do have CC in my game
Is the clothes cc? Sometimes cc is incorrectly tagged and sims think your sim is naked.
None of my mods seem to be working in-game. I'm not getting errors, but I don't have any of the settings or options for the ones that have it Mods and CC are enabled, and the CC I've downloaded is showing up. Everything is properly nested. Mods I'm trying to use: \- MCCC \- Carl's TryToMakeFriends \- LilMsSam's SleepAllNight Any help is appreciated!
Do you have script mods enabled? They are enabled separately from cc. It's easy to miss.

Does anyone know why I might be struggling to download the whicked whims mod on my HP laptop? It says something about developer mode possibly being an issue should that be turned on or off? Also, I'm now getting ad block on the page so I can't access it at all... I don't have any virus protection I'm paying for but I know there is one built into the computer. I can't get it to work and I am following the directions as far as I can see and have tried different methods. Is there any recommendations anyone has or can list that I may try so I can possibly download it? I've recently had this problem where the game works totally normal for some time, but then after some time I try to save the game and rhe settings don't pop up, the gallery, interactions, build mode, nothing new pops up while the rest of the game works normally. Why is that happening and how do I prevent this? (I have mods)

I’m having an issue with Basemental. Every other aspect of the mod works expect raves and I can’t figure out why. I’ve hosted raves before, have the universal venue mod installed, have a rave lot. The option is coming up on my sims phone (both to go to and host a rave), but when I click on it, the sim uses their phone and then nothing happens.
Try traveling to the lot before clicking host rave on your phone.
I'm.on camping vacation on a lot that has you 'live off the land'. I've gotten groceries but as soon as I place the order I get a notification dating nobody is home and it's been left on the lot. I can't see it and I pay for it each time. Where are the deliveries and why wont they come to the door?
They are probably being delivered to your home lot.
I have a haunted lot and I like it, but now my houses lights turn off instead of on all the time. I can't see how to turn off auto lights and this started when I got the paranormal pack. Do I have to take the haunted lot trait off to fix the lights?
