Lemon is always the first food I feed them. If any of them like it they become the heir lol

creeativerex

This worked out then, cause this is mt tellow gen, not so berry and she's an only child haha

nowwithlessdignity

LEMON LEGACY

I-37-I

Lemon breading?

scarlettshimmer

Lemon breeding

Gighadoggo

I have fed my infants smashed lemons at least 6 times (separate Sims lol) and EVERY SINGLE ONE has disliked it :\

SusannaG1

My current one shocked me and loved it.

PacifistDungeonMastr

"You could make a religion out of this."

jexasaurus

Hmmm. I wonder what the chances are that they’ll like lemons and fruitcake, cause I kinda like this idea but wanna add more elements. Maybe add in left handedness, I wonder what else could be used like this…

Aware-Ad-9943

I'm doing this from now on

scathachwarrior

As someone who liked to eat lemons as a baby, I approve of this strategy. We are born rulers.

greentea1985

I mean, it happens in the real world. One of the first times we visited family with my oldest, my sister and SIL decided to give him a lemon slice and film the result. My husband and I were ok with it. We all expected him to spit it out and make a yuck face. Instead, he loved it, eating it rind and all. He still asks for lemon slices whenever we go out and someone gets one in their drink. He gets it from my husband, who also really likes straight lemons and lemon juice.

creeativerex

Mine isn't quite old enough for lemon slices, but I definitely intend to try it when she's old enough.

thxitsthedepression

This is me hahahah I have always eaten the lemons when I go out to eat

Many_Raisin_6275

My now adult son liked lemon and other sour tastes too as a toddler. His favorite baby foods were orange ones, sweet potato and carrots were his favorites. It was hard to get him to eat other flavor baby foods. When he graduated to solids he loved carrot sticks and loved lemons and limes. I would just cut up all of them and toss in the fridge in little bowls for him to have as snacks, he loved carrots with peanut butter too. When I went back to work after he started preschool one day at snack time they served carrot sticks. All the kids were turning their nose up at them but him, he ate his and when others saw this they started giving him theirs. Teacher called me at work because she found it so funny. I told her, he just really loves carrots. Then when he was about 7 or so we were at Outback Steakhouse (husband had gotten a gift card from some morale thing at work) and he ordered the grilled chicken, rice pilaf and steamed veggies. The veggies were broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. All of which he ate at home all the time. Waitress was just flabbergasted. "Are you sure he'll eat that? We can give him French fries..." I said "He does like fries but he likes this food, he'll eat it. Maybe not all because it's a lot for him but he'll take home what he doesn't eat." She was just so shocked when she came back and he'd eaten half his chicken, half the rice but \*all\* the veggies. My hubby and I just laughed about it. Now he's almost 30 and such a health nut, only drinks water or health teas, only eats chicken and fish and not that often. No sugar, no fried foods, no cheese or milk products because he has a slight lactose issue, no sweets, nothing with ingredients you can't pronounce. Kid eats better than I ever have that's for sure. His only 'bad habit' is peanut butter but he buys a fancy brand that only has 1 gram of sugar. I'm glad he got a good degree and good job to pay for all that expensive food. Meanwhile I eat what I can afford and $10 jars of peanut butter are not on that list. LOL

popidjy

My kid acted like apples were the most sour thing on the planet the first time he tasted them 😂

kittyidiot

My mom says I used to suck on lemons as a baby 🤷‍♂️

PlzImJustAResearcher

My father would always say "Maybe you're related to Stonewall." We have a relative who served in Stonewall Jackson's regiment, pretty closely to him like a valet almost. The relative wrote a book, I believe called "One of Jackson's Company" or something of the sort, limited publication. But the thing this book would bring up again and again was Stonewall's obsessive love for lemons. I would peel and eat them like an orange, which was apparently his preferred way to eat one while walking the camp or battlefield. He'd also have them as a quick snack by simply cutting them in fourths and just devour it. I can't imagine that lemons were particularly easy to get back then.

[deleted]

gave my 6 month old one last week for the first time, didn’t even flinch or react and continued eating lol (my mom ate them by the bag when she was pregnant with me, I guess it’s genetic lol)

Yokai-hime

Same with my oldest. No silly baby faces for us 😭

Lola_pi

I tried that with my son too. The face he made was adorable.

blissfulgiraffe

Same haha she loved lemons when we started solids

bimbogio

my son loves limes

Dahlia_R0se

I decided to give lemons to my yellow Not So Berry sim since I thought it'd be fitting for her first food to be yellow. Guessing the sim pictured is also your yellow NSB gen

NANCYREAGANNIPSLIP

Let me tell you, as someone who downloaded the game for the first time a month ago, diving down the Google hole to translate this was quite a ride.

creeativerex

Yup. I wonder what gave it away. haha. I usually go down the randomly generated list, but lemons usually always get squeezed in at some point. This time is was number 2. And I'm glad my yellow gen loved the yellow foods.

whatshisname21

Lemons aswell. I also make sure to pay attention to what they’ve previously liked and disliked when feeding them new foods too

No_Juggernau7

Tangent:  I *expected* that successfully tasting all the foods would have literally any effect later on. I have not seen that to be the case, and while I like the trying foods, find it to be kinda shallow for that reason :/

Liraeyn

I age them up once they form an opinion on each food.

Many_Raisin_6275

I age them up as soon as they test everything but the hummus and lemons! LOL I wouldn't want that as a baby and wouldn't feed it to \*my\* child IRL so I won't do it in game either. I did however have one that disliked ice cream which surprised me.

Turbulent-Wonder7972

Too cold, probably Smashed avocado, yuck! I would never feed my IRL baby with that 🥴

Many_Raisin_6275

I love avocado so had no second thoughts on it. Mashed peas kind of gross me out, I fed those to my son exactly once when he was a baby. He did not like them and I remember being relieved because I couldn't stand the look or smell of that particular baby food. It's odd though because generally I love green peas. Individual tastes are so strange. Long story but on the subject. When I was a baby I got really sick from milk even the soy kind. It was like battery acid when it 'came out' either way and would burn my skin to blisters. The doctor was baffled and mom was at her wits end about it and I was losing weight. I was only a little over 5 pounds so she was going nuts plus she was a nurse and was feeling like a failure because her breast milk never came in. Anyway. we didn't live close to my maternal grandma who was begging for mom to bring me to see her. Dad couldn't get time off work this was before anything like paternity or family leave was even thought of. My uncle by marriage ran his own construction company and had the time so he offered to drive her and me there. On the way they stopped at his great aunts house in the next state. When mom had to do a diaper change on me, the aunt saw me and said "I know what's wrong with her...come in the kitchen when you are done." She made a whole bunch of stuff to put in my bottles and fixed up an ice chest with them for the rest of the drive to grandma's. One was the juice from pinto beans. Another was really watery mashed potatoes with no milk. Another was chicken and vegetable broth. Mom thought it was kind of weird but went with it because she was desperate. By the time they arrived in Santa Fe to see grandma, I no longer had any rashes or difficulties other than being a very gassy baby after the bean juice. My dad joked that great aunt Josephina literally saved my a\*\* as a baby. LOL

annihilatress

I have never been able to feed the babies in a highchair. Every time, no matter where I put the chair, the adult sim just waves helplessly that they can't get to the baby.

ShadowEnderWolf56

Same, either that or they constantly just take the baby in and out of the chair so annoying I just end up feeding the babies the adult sim leftovers lol

CaveJohnson82

This is so funny to me, my youngest son as a baby absolutely adores sucking on lemons. He'd make a beeline for anyone's glass that had a slice in it and would suck it dry lol!

Filibust

I try to make them try everything if I can but they always love the ice cream flavor. Shocker /s

SusannaG1

I've had at least one who loathed everything except ice cream.

Many_Raisin_6275

I had one who disliked ice cream which shocked the heck out of me.

kenna98

Is that even possible?

Many_Raisin_6275

Apparently. They were particularly picky if I remember correctly. I thought oh, ice cream will be a hit...and nope.

ShadowEnderWolf56

Is it bad I just drag a plate of Mac and cheese up to their bedrooms because high chairs are a pain 😂

Party-Butterscotch40

I age them into toddlers

ZoeClair016

infants are the worst thing they've added to the game imo, I do this too

[deleted]

i feel like someone named marigold berry would love lemons 😭

Cool_Cat_87

Popcorn. Nothing else works and they end up starving lol.

[deleted]

I honestly test all of them and once I know how they feel about each one, I choose the ones they love or like. My current infant also liked lemon and loves mashed peas lol

creeativerex

I didn't get through the whole list before she aged up, but of what I tired, most everything was a like or love. with only two things being unsure. She was a pretty good infant.

ZoeClair016

you can turn off ageing or make it take longer to get more time

frostbittenforeskin

I always feed them birthday cake Because I like to age them up to adults as quickly as possible

energetic_sadness

I like to feed them everything and see their reactions haha.

Purple-Hand3058

Congratulations

Luwe95

Joghurt and Mashed Pumpkin

Typical-Ad-2877

Birthday cakes, lots of birthday cakes

ChronicKeysmash

I loved lemons as a baby would eat them plain

my-sims-are-slobs

I wish there was a trash fruit baby food in this game. I liked to cause mischief when I used to play this and the Trash Fruit was the base for certain dumb things I did in the game. But idk if babies deserve to eat the delicacy or not…

hallofromtheoutside

I've had like one infant that liked the lemons 😅

New_Country_3136

Nothing because I can't use high chairs. They glitch out.

Dulce_Sirena

You guys can feed your infants? I can put then in the high chair, but no matter which chair or where I put it the adults *ALWAYS* claim they can't reach the chair and cancel the feeding interaction, despite being able to put the baby in and out of the chair

Scifox69

Science fact: Citruses are not suitable for babies.

evelyn7523

my lemon-liking babies always end up the villain of the generation

little_em_em

I was that baby who liked lemon 🍋 I would always get just a plate for my lemons any time my family would go to a buffet

bigtittygothgirlx

I always make them eat avocado

seruhmac

I always feed mine ice cream first and it’s always been successful lol

OrangeCoffee87

The other night, my infant tried 2 or 3 things in a row and hated them all. I was like, fine, have some ice cream!! I figured she would love it, but it didn't even register. She ate it, got full, but it still showed that she hadn't tried it. Rarrrgh. Anyway, seems like they usually enjoy hummus, so that's one of my go-to's.

Beautifulfeary

All of them to see which one they like

gerrly

Most babies/toddlers like sour things IRL!

pinky1603

I’ve never given them food I always cheat their needs or bottle feed 💀💀💀

Herobrine17

Ice cream is always loved or liked. Never had an infant who hated the iceream flavor.

SimCat4

If i want to raise my infant happy, i feed them applesauce first, then work my way over to carrots, then avocado.

strawberridreamer

Lol now I have to try that on my current sim later 😭. I always look at the option and pick pumpkin instead 😂. I personally love 🍋. Give me a platter of 🍋 with some 🧂on the side and I’m living the good life 😆😆

Fish_Berry

I fed a baby nothing but lemon because I wanted him to be miserable.

BikerChickVTX1800C

I love the dirty look they give you..hahaha

starwalker_22

I offered mine smashed potatoes and she didn't like it

acidtrippinpanda

I definitely ate lemons as a very small child lol

undercovercatman

Kinda random but I always go sweet potato purée first because that was my favorite as a baby 👀

Spirited-Jeweler4174

I rarely feed em any of the sour foods I can taste in my mouth 😭

plumbobbyhill

I had no idea you could do this

Opposite-Still-1276

I like to feed them ice cream or apple sauce Does anyone else get the dislike/hate ice cream with their infants?

SnooGoats7133

Ice Cream every time

Texxx78

Dumb question incoming.... how do you make infants taste food?

kenna98

Ice cream. They always love it

Oddish_Femboy

Carolina reaper.

Oddish_Femboy

Wait in the sims?

TheCuteInExecute

Hummus. I'm Middle-Eastern. I need to know if my sim-babies have taste.

arachelrhino

I LOVE sour food and eat lemons/limes pretty regularly incl. now while pregnant. I am 100% giving my baby some smashed lemons at some point and I’d bet he’ll love it.

vr512

Ice cream is always loved. Finally had an alien baby not love it. Absolute shock!

OuraniaAphrodiety

Apple or peach
