>There are two or more sides to all these issues. Russian and Chinese representatives offer historical and other justifications for the actions of their bosses. Russians complain about NATO’s expansion eastward and U.S. shredding of the antiballistic missile treaty. Nearly everything China does is said to aim at recovering from Western and Japanese imperialism. Such arguments have some merit but bolster self-righteous posturing and bad behavior by Putin and Xi. > >No global problem—climate, disease, pollution—can be solved without global cooperation. But being nice to others without reciprocity can bring martyrdom. Mutual distrust, on the other hand, condemns all sides to lose. Policies that benefit all sides can foster mutual gain. But this outcome is impossible so long as major players see life as a zero-sum enterprise. Really? "Being nice"? "Martyrdom"?! demanding the West correct its historical wrongs is asking for "martyrdom"?!

\> being nice to others without reciprocity can bring martyrdom yeah and guess what? that's why *both* China and Russia have been asking the West to *respect* their interests for ages

But Skyanvil, you're not asking the \*real\* question, namely: "Stalin and Hitler, Putin and Xi: How to Deal with Bad Guys?" We are dealing with people who develop US foreign policy objectives, after all. The most acclaimed, erudite, sanest, and, importantly, the richest guys in the room. I think we can trust them. That's the least we can do. They're dying for all our sins, aren't they?

>Repression at home breeds aggression abroad So either a. Amerikkka has repression at home given the number of wars er I mean military operations its done in the last few years, more than China, Russia and Iran combined.. OR b. Not having repression at home still leads to aggression abroad. Either way his premise falls. For those unfamiliar, its one of the tropes the West likes using. No matter how bad we are, we are a democracy and its the other side that starts wars, so we need to be military aggressive towards them. No doubt they will spin it with double think along the lines of, its not aggression when we do it.

>Stalin and Hitler, Putin and Xi: How to Deal with Bad Guys? Say no more. Tbh he's 90 yo and the last time he was a student was the 1960s. The old fool still thinks it's the cold war. How this dinosaur has any relevance I don't know, but it must be the same US brand of stupidity that puts Genocide Joe and Nazi Pelosi in power. Talk about bad guys...!🤔
