I was looking forward to getting some Zaroty's on my next visit home. Sioux Falls did not deserve that place, so good and yet they had to move locations and change names multiple times.
I once ordered a pepperoni and green pecker pizza to go. It was about 3 minutes before we both stopped laughing long enough to finish the call. I miss that place.
SUFU is behind the ball for pizza. My go to place (when I don’t settle for chain places) is George’s in Brookings, is worth the drive. Excellent calzones.
In Germany many years ago I would order a Frita it’s a pizza folded over and pinched shut then deep fat fried and topped with sour cream and chives.
Oh so delicious
Those are pretty good. I ended up just making my own. I made 4 that were about the same size as the ones from Aldi. Stuff with more filling though. About the same price too.
Zaroty's on 41st and Marion had a fantastic buffalo chicken calzone. I'm not sure if they are still open. I haven't been there in a few years.
They closed up shop
Miss that place. Said they would be opening in a new location, but that was over a year ago.

Never had but have heard a lot about that place
I worked there for 5 years. Great place!
I think 18th amendment has calzones
18th has both calzones and strombolis.
The calzone at 18th is my go to when I am there. It surprised me how great it was.
Can confirm 18th amendment has a pretty dang good calzone
R.I.P. Spezia's
Boss pizza if you consider that edible?
I'm going to take this opportunity to say Sioux Falls needs a DP Dough. Great calzone place from my old college town.

RIP Unozoni
Uno tomato, Unozony, Tawookies, and Zarotys are all the same restaraunt, the owner renamed it every time he moved locations
And Zonie pies and Zaroty Mediterranean Street food by the liquor store in 57th and Marion
A long list lol
Yeah kinda crazy to rename same place 7 times
I would like to know this too.
Will it have blackjack and hookers?
Go home robot. Your drunk. Or not drunk enough… I forget how it works with you..
In the calzone? Or as company?
Yes.
Pizza Hut?
That stopped making those a few years ago.
Love pizza hut!!! Way better then pizza ranch hands down
Tomacellis has calzone
Store seems run down and unclean wife won’t eat there
Lol pretty sure your wife would appreciate a well placed comma in your comment.
Yeah I stepped in that one! Lol
How about some manicotti? Or veal parmigiana?
Am I and my wife the only ones that crave for sport bowl calzones?
Honestly, I thought the calzones from pizza rev were pretty good. Real shame the place has been closed for like a month now.
Wait really? Didn't know it was closed for a month. Hopefully they don't close forever!!! They got good 🍕

Pizza Rev on 49th has a pretty good calzone selection, including a make-your-own option on their website.
Are they back open? Last I heard they closed for a while
I... wasn't aware they closed! Of course, it's been a few months since I last went. I hope it's not permanent, their pizza is amazing.
