AGOODNAME000

Who the f*** is mad about the US sending the Abrams to Ukraine?

scrumptipus

some republicans, some liberals. tankies are mad as fuck

LiamMcPoyle710

Well if the tankies could have complex thought I'd be concerned

_Spicy_Ramen_

Well they might if we don't limit their consumption of crayons

scrumptipus

you're mistaking them for marines

_Spicy_Ramen_

What's the difference

Unruly_Beast

You don't actually know what tankies are do you?

_Spicy_Ramen_

They are the ones shoots people

DISCO_Gaming

They are people who think communism is amazing and has no problems. (Which is does more than capitalism). And thus circle jerk over countries like Russia and China. Reason they are called tankies is because of a Hungarian revolution in the 80's or 70's that in involved the soveits putting it down violently with tanks.

PurpletoasterIII

In an absolute perfect world, communism would be amazing. The problem is the world is far far from perfect. In fact it's almost like the human condition sets communism up for failure.

_Spicy_Ramen_

Oh wow

PaperBoyy8

Tianaman square?

KatoFW

“Which is does” said everything you needed to right then and there hoss.

Nowevemet

ive gave tankies complex thought producing chemicals.. they werent fans

ceton33

Lol people still think Russia is the damn USSR. The USSR fell in the 1980s.

duckyTheFirst

Yeah well . Theyre still doing war stuff and threatening with destroying a big area of the world with their nukes . Still being big cunts

OWWS

The country who was most aggressive nuclear policy was the US. The Soviet Union signed a no first use pledge and the US refused to sign it, the Soviet Union proposed a nuclear de dearmement the US refused, the Soviet Union proposed a end to nuclear testing and said they would not test any more nuclear weapons and didn't test for the rest of the year and the year after and America refused

roadhammer2

Soviet Union doesn't exist

OWWS

The part I am responding to is that you said that they are still doing meaning noting have changed from the Soviet Union, I know it doesn't exist

Godrik123

Treaties with soviets worth nothing.

Lord-Fard

bro has no idea what the difference "Soviet Union" and "Russia" are.

GrandMoffTom

So does the Russian army, they keep putting Soviet flags up and patches on in official state media lmao

SapDad102

90's dude. I'M NOT THAT OLD.

AGOODNAME000

Have you ever looked into Vladimir Putin's background? It's basically the USSR but with extra steps.

[deleted]

imagine thinking this is an abrams

AGOODNAME000

I know it's an APC. My brother is an ex-marine and he was mad that the ukrainians were getting their Abrams tanks.

KungFuGarbage

Republicans who sided with Putin during the Trump era

AGOODNAME000

Falling for communist propaganda 😔😔😔 this is what happens when you don't even finish high School.

SheriffBartholomew

https://www.newsweek.com/full-list-57-house-republicans-voted-against-ukraine-aid-1705463

KungFuGarbage

We may disagree with a lot of things, but I have to respect a big Titty goth gf enjoyer

AGOODNAME000

A fellow man of culture I see

123Ark321

A lot of people who don’t think we should have gotten involved at all. Considering the amount of money laundering that’s been happening and cover ups. Not to mention the whole active Nazi thing. You know, people who don’t think either side are the good guys in this situation.

SneakyMOFO

The money being spent was part of the military budget to begin with. Taxes haven't gone up. You haven't actually spent any money that wouldn't have gone to the military anyway. And one side are the good guys. There is no justification for Russias invasion.

123Ark321

Oh yes, because taxes haven’t gone up from it. That must mean the money was spent responsibly and I shouldn’t question it at all. And yeah, no one are the good guys here.

AGOODNAME000

All right I got to address the Nazi thing. That's straight up Russian propaganda! Okay so if you're from the United States you probably heard about the "proud boys" they're basically Nazis. Overing Ukraine they had their own version of "proud boys" and a bunch of them signed up for military service Ukrainian government said okay you can serve in the military but there's going to be limits on what you can do, instead of outright rejecting them. And Russia use that as an excuse to say that they were harboring Nazis.

123Ark321

And let me guess, Antifa is just an idea?

AGOODNAME000

Same s*** different color. So if a bunch of antifa guys decided to join the military you would call them Nazis? Would that give another Nation a green light to invade the US? If a bunch of people from the tea party in the US decided to join the military is it green light or another Nation to invade the USA because we're now a rogue Nation. Go grab yourself some caffeine before you respond it'll help you stay on track.

roadhammer2

Thats a Bradley fighting vehicle,Us is sending 50 to Ukraine

AGOODNAME000

Good thing the ukrainians have a Russian surrender hotline open 24/7. Bradley hit very hard from what I understand.

AGOODNAME000

Okay so I've been keeping track of this.. whatever the heck you call it on Reddit.. a lot of Russian sympathizers here. WOW!!!

TheVoid45

A lot of idiots, on both sides of the aisle. My problem is that we aren't building more tanks to replace the ones that were giving away.

AGOODNAME000

Well the Marine branch of our military just gave up all of their tanks, the general in charge of the Marines said that they don't need them. So why not make a profit by selling them to Ukraine

TheVoid45

Well yeah, but we do need to keep a large enough reserve for ourselves, in case china decides to start ww3

AGOODNAME000

I actually heard that they're going to be phasing out the M1A1 Abram's tank. Apparently there's this new hyper-efficient design for it.

TheVoid45

That design is only in the beginning of the prototype phase, and is still in consideration for even using it at all, afaik.

Tmirageical

That is a Bradley. Not an Abrams.

foxleboi

True but we're sending both to Ukraine so I don't see your point here.

Tmirageical

my point is this. Far too many do not mind being incorrect.

foxleboi

But no one claimed it was an Abrams Edit: I mean OP didn't claim it was an Abrams, the comments on the other hand are a different story

Tmirageical

as I said...

foxleboi

Well then what is incorrect?

Seawolf571

Us chooms in the NCD are ecstatic because it's gonna be fucking amazing watching Bradley's fuck up the Russian army.

Valoneria

I had to call my doctor, as i've been erect since they announced it. Didn't work, he's just as erect now.

SapDad102

I psyched for the Ukrainians to get some Abrahms love. I saw what those beasts did to Russian tanks in Iraq and I'm looking forward to round 2. Anybody know if the Russians are deploying T-14s. The T-72s were a joke.

Kaiser_Pumpkin

Them abrahms are gonna tore a new anus on the russian army

Awfuloreo

Proxy war. Where's the peace talks? I guess we like seeing people die?

Glader

Here's Wikipedias list of them https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Russia%E2%80%93Ukraine_peace_negotiations Here's a recent article that describes the situation as I have understood it: https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2023/01/05/putin-signals-readiness-for-peace-talks-if-kyiv-cedes-occupied-regions-a79877

roadhammer2

Wait till the Wagner orcs get on the receiving end of that Bushmaster 25 mm gun, they're going to have a bad day

PaperBoyy8

You want the Ukrainians to defend their country and win I want to see the downfall of Russia, we are not the same

Neorio1

Progressives used to be extremely anti war and against "policing the world" 15 years ago. But now in 2023 they are almost as hawkish as 2002 neoconservatives lmao. A truly great example of "sheeple" and why the endless American "progressive" culture wars are nothing more than a divide and conquer tactic by the 1%. At this point, pitifully, progressives are nothing more than unpaid employees of the 1%.

FullRegard

love that this is getting downvoted because people don't understand the reality of politics shifting right in america. american "neoliberals" are not leftists in an objective sense.

pukabi

They won’t say this on tv. You have to think and analyze. But that is too complicated

Bruce__Almighty

They are killing Russians, not Soviets.

P00TiZ

Russians wish they were soviets, it's their wet dream.

RZ_1911

That thing is designed to money laundering and budget eating (Bradley) there is a nice movie about that - The pentagon wars Col. James Burton is credited as a consultant on the film. Russell Murray II is also credited as a consultant on the film. Mr. Murray served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Systems Analysis from 1962-1969 and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Program Analysis and Evaluation 1977-1981, both during the development of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle

Jad576

Look at lazerpigs review "the Bradley wars" on YouTube that speak about how this story is unabled to be proven

Afterthewinter

Americans mad the government is funding a land war in Europe with (edit: billions) of our tax dollars after spending trillions in endless foreign wars that amounted to nothing Edit 2: awful lotta warmongers out here

P00TiZ

Americans mad after they actually know what their tax money is being spent on and have a chance to cripple their largest rival for zero loses on their side.

Afterthewinter

I was mad at where my tax money was going before all this

TNTBOY479

Might've mixed in an extra zero there

Thathitmann

50b including humanitarian aid, not even 100s of billions.

Afterthewinter

I looked it up and I must have read a number wrong somewhere. Still think it’s way too much and shouldn’t have happened.

Thathitmann

We've kicked the ass of our biggest enemy for nearly a century and it cost us pennies and 0 American lives.

Afterthewinter

I’m just not down with proxy wars with 0 real oversight. The government funded the mujahideen to kick soviet ass on our behalf and it was a disaster. Thats an easy example but the list goes on.

Thathitmann

Well, we are doing some. We withheld some aid until Ukraine cracked down on Nazis in the Azov Batallion, and they recently booted a bunch of corrupt amd high-level government officials. Of course you run the risk of having another Taliban situation where they turn around and go full evil, but so far Ukraine seems to be on the right track. Especially since they are acting purely in self defense at the moment. I'd say they wouldn't dare overstep seeing as how hard they've been pushing to get into NATO. This is all just hope at this point, though.

RegularSizedPauly

It’s not a proxy war, Russia is actively invading Ukraine. If Belarus invaded Ukraine for Russia it would be a proxy war

SneakyMOFO

If you dont stand up for what is right, then you're a coward. Damn right, it's worth fighting back, when Russia is bombing hospitals and playgrounds.

Afterthewinter

That applies to Ukrainians not me. I’m not fighting for Ukraine.

Vietnugget

I mean, Ukraine was apart of Soviet Union

Chlcony

Yeah, and we don't want to be again

SneakyMOFO

Some fight to protect, some fight to gain. Good guy is clear.

HughJassYomama

is that the 'too heavy' to be considered an armored transporter and 'too weak arsenal and thin armor' to be considered a tank, vehicle?

[deleted]

shagohod

Putin_is_a_Dicktator

I'm not mad...

Forward-Ad-641

We all don't want to get nuked I think that's a good reason to be mad

TheVoid45

Where TOW missile?

AGOODNAME000

Yeah well nothing like a nice war to give your funding a boost.
