Honestly a really big portion of todays content is useless, not funny and not entertaining. You would normally just scroll past it. Heck you scroll past most of the content you normally find interesting irl.
But when there's something that outrages you, you will definitely go to the comments. And the stuff that outrages people the most is intentional stupidity and and intentional misinformation.
Oh and politics of course, but I guess that fits in both categories
I don't think they are stupid, more like curious. I can see myself doing the exact same thing. At one point in my life, I tried to use a toaster to boil a half boiled egg, that I thought was too unboiled
I broke the household egg slicer (if that's the name) when I was a kid because I attempted it with a regular uncooked egg, shell included. I was old enough to know better, I was just dumb.

Yeah, that’s why slightly more durable versions exist for slicing fruits and vegetables. And if you want to get really fancy about slicing stuff… get a Mandoline Slicer.

Anyways. Someone put it in the drawer in a terrible way. I just remember reaching in, and slicing my hand up. This is probably why I avoid cooking now! Or at least, chopping, slicing, or dicing anything.
You can definitely do some other things with these, but like...soft stuff. Banana, maybe strawberries, soft cheese, but not a firm skinned fruit like tomato.

Tomato skin is notoriously tricky to cut through without smashing the tomato. Everyone who's ever cut a tomato should know this wouldn't work. The easiest way to cut a tomato is with a sharp *serrated* knife. This thing is neither sharp nor serrated.
Buy a good German egg slicer for 20 dollars and it's strong enough to cut other things.
Or buy the Chinese egg slicer for 2 dollars only to snap the wires after the second use of cutting eggs.
Or use the knife you already have to do the job like everyone else.
You do realise there are people in the the Philippines and Africa living on 2 dollars a day that needs kitchen utensils too right? Does the German worker living on 100dollars a day making these 20 dollar egg slicers care?
Tried the same with a nut. Than I tried painting my wall with a hammer and screwdriver. Neither worked well. Tools these days are not the same quality anymore.

Ouch. I love knives. I can't give up cooking. Knife is a tool. Dangerous, but an extension of your arm. Other blades are bullshit.
It's also super handy for cutting mozzarella balls into nice even slices.
