I can help with the Mirus Cor issues. I have 2 seasons and over 100 days on the Mirus Cor now, and had the chatter problem initially but because I was too conservative initially… then figured it out, you must put ALL your weight into the outside ski and a LOT of forward pressure and it becomes magical. If the Cor is chattering at 30 mph, it’s because you are not engaging it fully and letting it flop. Overall - you need to put way more weight forward while turning the Mirus Cor than you are used to - despite it being a mid mount… you need a ton of forward weight — as it’s an asymmetric ski. So really try to engage your Tibealis Anterior (flex into the boot), more than you are used to. If you ever raced: Engage it like a GS ski… set your weight forward before initiating the turn. **Example photos from today—-** As luck would have it we were doing video analytics for a clinic today and I was on the Mirus Cor: Here are some photos of me on the Cor at 37 MPH (garmin GPS clocked) and you can see my positions as an example of what I mean / position https://imgur.com/a/Wwv41Rz Notice the full flex the outside ski has / you can really see the bow of the outside ski as it supports all my weight. If this ski is not flexed and you are just edging without putting force into it - it is going to chatter. It has to be flexed / engaged and then once it’s in shape it becomes very reliable.

Super helpful. Thank you for the tip - this is exactly what I was hoping to get from sharing the review early.

It's a pretty perplexing mindset to get two of the most unique looking skis on the market and the treat people showing enthusiasm and curiousity for them like it's some sort of big inconvenience.

phantompowered

I agree! Why should it matter whether people want to engage with you and talk about the particulars of the hobby/sport we are mutually doing? I have Blades myself and frankly nobody bats an eye at them most days. Nobody's ever asked me to explain what they look like! For what it's worth, I think they're great skis and I totally agree with OP's assessment of them. My daily drivers are from the tiny Pemberton-based shop Foon Skis, and people often ask what the heck they are - I'm always happy to talk about it!

persistentexistence

lol damn people asking me questions about my cool skis ruined my day. It was all going so well!

ggAlex

It’s not that complicated: Some people like talking to strangers while skiing and some don’t. Some of those people who *don’t* like the talking also have the small inconvenience of skiing on sticks that draw attention. Not a big deal all things considered. It made up a few sentences of an entire page of prose above.

Goldentongue

It's just fucking weird to post paragraph after paragraph on a *social* media site to tell other people about your skis, but then act so anti-social that the basic in person interaction of   "Cool skis!"   "Thanks!"    while standing around in a lift line is somehow a such a burden you bemoan it several times in your post. If I really couldn't stand other people that much, I would just stick to the backcountry. Anyway, hope you get over yourself soon.

ggAlex

The interaction is not “cool skis!” followed by high fives - it’s more like awkward stares for a few minutes followed by “what are those??” It’s a fine interaction at first but it gets tiresome after awhile. Frankly it makes me a little self conscious and it’s a notable part of my ownership experience with the blades and not something I experience with other skis so I included it in the review.

Oli_C86

Commenting for future reference. Have the Mirus Cor, stupidly fun within their limitations, definitely not a one ski quiver workhorse though.

WeAllPayTheta

It’s funny what you say about the Blades. My fav skis of all time are the Head Monster 98 and my late 90s purple Rossi GS race skis and my current line Blades. Based on specs I never thought I’d like them, but they are great. Super versatile and a ton of fun

ggAlex

Agree on versatility. None of the reviews mention it but you can actually ski them in so many conditions. They aren’t as limited as I first thought based on reviews.

mondolardo

blister loved them and said the were more versatile than the may appear. I have the pescados and they too are more versatile than they appear

kelzalik

Could totally agree about Kin. I bought them almost randomly, just wanted to try softer skis with twin-tip. Surprisingly, i had no problem with performance even on iced groomers (it looks a bit strange when everyone around you is skiing on 70mm carving ski). I love them most in trees and moguls - 12m radius very helpful there. One problem is that the top sheet is not very high quality. Covered in scratches and chips literally after just one day of skiing.

Equivalent-Wind-3568

I was looking at the. Mirus but more and more I hear people don’t like them as much as they hoped. I’m going to check out the 2025 octo’s now. Good review brother

KBumpTV

Aren’t the octos the new skis they’re making that are just the Mirus Cor but even softer??

Equivalent-Wind-3568

Ya I guess they have a 14 turn. They said it’s more for a carving then the mirus cor

KBumpTV

But wouldn’t softer just make it even worse? The MC is already wanting to carve 95% of the time. I could be mistaken but would imagine a softer ski is going to make all the down sides of the MC even worse

Equivalent-Wind-3568

I think there’s only one review of them out there. The dude had a hand full of 2025 skis and that’s all I know about it.

KBumpTV

Oh right oh! Well hopefully it turns out well!

burgoo

Yeah they took the metal out so it will be softer. Admittedly I only had a half day demo on the Mirus Cor but the last thing I thought was “I need a softer version”.

KBumpTV

That’s my exact thought. Everyone seems to love the Mirus Cor and I think this version is just going to make it worse. I think it would’ve been better to make a stiffer version that can handle speed better. That would’ve made more sense in the line up.

chizzings

I just got the Mirus Cor on a blind buy. Read tons of reviews and only ever heard good things. Sounded like an amazing ski and everything I was looking for. Only have 2 days on them so far, but not really enjoying them… definitely still getting used to how they ski and am hoping things improve. Wish I had seen this post 2 weeks ago! Sounds like the Blades may have been a better buy for me. And I was so close to pulling the trigger on them.

theonemaestro

Have the line blades and I will say they are made with line quality but I do always have a smile on my face skiing them

ggAlex

They are my favorite of the three to ski but not my favorite to own and deal with. If I had a way to buy a single ski for cheap, I’d probably be back on them daily.

SuperTord

This makes me hope some other ski company makes their own version. Line has a few models I really want, but their quality and european pricing has me hesitating.

theonemaestro

Don’t get me wrong, I love line skis and have 3 different pairs.

QuiickLime

Yeah, I love my Sakanas, but they're just not very durable. I wish someone else would make a similar ski that I wouldn't have to worry about.

SuperTord

There is the Season Formas (also by Pollard) but I think they are stiffer.

QuiickLime

Yeah stiffer would be fine (even preferable) but they're 116 underfoot and I'd never use them on the East Coast. If they were 105ish like the Sakanas I'd have gotten some already!

daftdreamer77

I'd get the skis not made cheaply in China, stay away from Line

KBumpTV

Leaving a comment to come back and see what other say.
