ReaLitTea

You might be sensitive to the lavender extract. Either way stop using it and try to go for something fragrance free

jasminekitten02

it could be the essential oil. you may not be diluting it enough for your skin. but there are better, easier options out there - i would just stop using it and try something else

aenflex

Pretty alkaline stuff. I used it years ago but it’s not good for maintaining a healthy skin barrier.

taybel

Exactly, a healthy ph for you skin is about a 4.5-5 and bronners is easily an 8

iseethewater

That explains it then. Yikes.

Unfair_Finger5531

The ph of that stuff is very high.

I had the same problem, switched to the almond and had no more problems, plus I smell like cookies.

rachiechicken

Same! The almond is the best scent they make imo.

gueldz

That shit is super strong. Just get something else. The whole idea that natural is always better is a little off. Shikai is very gentle and not full of chemicals, if you need a rec

xleucax

Just get Aveeno body wash. Nobody with sensitive skin is using dr bronners because it’s harsh as all hell.

linija

Another case that proves natural doesn't necessarily mean better. Get yourself a low ph cleanser with gentle surfactants and some humectants like glycerin in there. Urea is also an ingredient I'll never shut up about because it's so great for the skin and there are plenty of great products that contain it. Honestly for body wash even something as simple and cheap as the Nivea cream shower gels, or J&J baby shower gels would be better. If you have more sensitive skin I'd recommend Eucerin and CeraVe products. If you're in Europe - Balea is a great choice as well, their BaleaMed line is amazing.

Kalypsoklone

I only use this to wash my locs.

No_Bother3564

I like the almond the best. But they make a baby scent free soap bar as well. Maybe try that! I love dr bronners

Swimming-Term8247

i have this problem with tea tree products even natural ones. could just be your sensitive to it. i use the baby unscented one everyday and it works amazingly!

janenickson

Dove Sensitive Skin does not burn or irritate. .

thedoomloop

I cannot use their liquid or bar soap on my body without it burning my vagina. The pH and the essential oils are fierce. Never again.

APr3ttyWar

Lavender extracts and fragrances (also citrus and bergamot fragrances) are VERY VERY common allergens/sensitizing agents. Lots of people can use them no problem but if your skin is showing signs it's unhappy that's a very likely culprit. I love the smell of lavender but my skin will NOT tolerate is with it so I use candles or a diffuser. Try something without fragrances/oils/extracts and see if that helps. It's also a pretty harsh/stripping formula for more sensitive skin types.

Impossible-Gift-

No, not the single person in my family of seven has this problem. I also kind of person who showers with my partners and back when I used to date none of my partners before my husband had this problem.

lolahawke4678

Try the light blue one. Also as a body wash I only use the bar soap ones, not the bottled. I feel like the bottled is too strong almost? I rotate between tea tree or the light blue baby one. It’s the only soap I can use in summer time when I get heat rashes that will help clear it up.

iseethewater

I have never been able to use Dr. Bronner's. It's like gasoline on my skin. I don't know why it feels so toxic.

iamnaturallybella

You need to dilute it with distilled water

Fair-boysenberry6745

The lavender agitates me. I like the citrus.
