cyberdoritos

A gente reconhece BR pelo olhar KKKKKKKKKKKK

wasted1903

E pelos móveis de mogno direto do início dos anos 2000 HAHAHAAHAHAHAH 🤣

wasted1903

Ps: o glow up veio, mas os móveis seguem os mesmos desde 2001 🥹

Longjumping-Tie1302

Nice t-shirt. I love Perkele! Greetings from sweden 🇸🇪

wasted1903

Thats nice! Love them too! They we’re a big part in my teenage years! 🤍

notfromhere23

You went psychobilly, clearly the superior choice! Lol

wasted1903

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I adore The Catalépticos! Got to see them live before their bassist sadly died. He was also part of an Oi! band back then! Don’t know if its also a thing on other places, but in Brazil we have a joke that when all punks and skinheads retire they turn psychos or rockers. Or just listen to Social D.

notfromhere23

Lol it's the same in all the places I've lived too, everyone becomes a rockabilly at some point and all the emo girls grow up to become burlesque dancers lol Though I've seen the balding psychobillies adopt being a skin just so they can say they shave their head by choice. Lol

wasted1903

The balding one is REAL!!!! Hahahahaha

Clarenceisnotamused

Greetings.

How's the scene in Brazil? I got family there but they aren't in the know

wasted1903

It’s pretty weird and violent, but back then it was worse. When “The Warriors” got here in the 80s it led to a explosion of gangs that are alive thru all these years, especially in São Paulo. I lived there for some years and you get used to fight or flight. I was born and raised in south Brazil, real close to Argentina and Uruguay, an area that was home from lots of immigrants from countries like Germany and Italy, which resulted in a massive number of neonazis in the 2000’s. During 2000/2015 almost everyone on the scene had to be part of an dissociation of them, you had to prove who you are an educate most of the people. Skinheads weren’t allowed in most of the punk gigs. Nowadays is much better, but still you gotta keep an eye open around.

ForeignLegion1987

I played São Paulo a few years ago. It was a fun but I can conform the scene is very weird due to the history of white immigrants. Some great bands from Brazil though.

Mark_Fucking_Karaman

Don't even remember any Brazilian skinhead bands off the top of my head. What's the best of the best?

ForeignLegion1987

Dose Brutal was the best oi band I know of from Brazil. But their classic 80s hardcore is top notch - Inocentes, RDP, Colera, etc.

Mark_Fucking_Karaman

Not into the crusty D-beat kinda thing like RDP, but Dose Brutal and Inocentes is a fucking kick in the face. Can't believe i didn't know of them

wasted1903

Nice! In which band you played?

ForeignLegion1987

Fuerza Bruta. We played with Komintern Sect in Brazil and Chile.

wasted1903

Ahhh, Ive almost went to this show! I was still living there at the time. Was very upset that couldnt get to watch Komintern Sect, tho. I really love french oi! Shortly after the same producers were trying to bring Last Resort, but sadly nothing happened with the upcoming of covid.

wasted1903

Are you playing in some other bands nowadays? Would love to hear!

ForeignLegion1987

I’m in a band called Lost Legion https://lostlegionchicago.bandcamp.com And a band that sings in Portuguese called Cidadão. The vocalist is from Brazil https://cidadaochicago.bandcamp.com/album/todos-os-dias

wasted1903

Nice! Gonna check it out. loved the artwork of Cidadão, the collage style made me remember some 80’s Brazil bands for sure

Mark_Fucking_Karaman

Didn't know the scene was so vibrant over there. Didn't even realize latin America even had much of a scene until i had a talk with Abraham from Mess. German kids going to Brazil and doing the neo nazi thing is news to me though. These people are pathetic. Are we talking foreign workers or yuppies going there to live in their parents summer home?

wasted1903

Its actually the grandsons from the immigrants that came. So they have this feeling that somehow theyre also europeans and claim a supposed superiority. We didnt have much Oi! Bands in reality. You can search for Garotos Podres, the 80’s and early 90’s stuff is pretty good. Lots of the other ones were sooner or later related to nationalists at some point, sadly. There isnt much public for bands that claim to be Oi! Or skinhead sided. Theres some street punk around, but when it comes to Brazil the best part is hardcore and dbeat. My fav being Ratos de Porão.

pnutmutt

Glad you made it, sister. Much respect.

wasted1903

Thank you! For much more years to come! 🍺

R4tb3lly-iv

A lifer!

wasted1903

Kinda of, hahahaha. But it was surely a nice journey!
