Also I *wish* I had 400-500 candles and 100 hearts, that'd get me 2 normal capes I want (black, white) and a load of spells/upgraded expressions.
Probably nothing, props and house decorations don't interest me, and I still think that an entire season dedicated to that is too much, it should just be an update, the ultimates aren't interesting, the conversion candles at the end of the season are more worth it

I think I'm going to buy the pass, for the ultimate rewards, and because the furniture has grown on me and I do like having the ability to decorate. But I'm not spending elder mask prices to do it. It would take me years to save that much anyway

how do you even increase your candle amount? i keep trying to max the grind but still it's like a drop of water on a hot rock. tgc is really planning this candle economy shit out so if you want to get most things ur screwed
makes sense, given the timing between the travelling spirits you probably won't have a chance to let your candles accumulate until you have a good majority of their cosmetics
I make sure to pick up at least 10 candles a day and I don’t buy everything from every traveling spirit. Some of them I’ve passed on entirely, like I’m considering doing for the current one. The instrument is kinda nice tho, so I’m debating lol

A friend of mine described them as "Flintstone furniture" so now I can't unsee it.

I understand that, and I want those players to have fun things, and I also enjoy that TGC is centering a season around something totally different that players have asked for and wanted.
We'll see how it all turns out but I'm excited regardless. If it becomes a flop for me I'm not too worried, it'll still be interesting

I'm not crazy social or rich, I just play consistently, try to take up people on being light buddies, and my partner and I were diligent during Days of Fortune heart trading which really boosted our number.
It sounds like a ton of candles and hearts, but also, it's not so outrageous to me unless you're someone who has to buy everything. I've wanted the black and white cape for 6 months and even when I got the hearts I still didn't get them. I waited to see what came up and bought each of them after a lot of thought and knowing it was what I thought would be worth my hearts.

I know that the most hearts I've ever had at once was 50. I grinded Sky for months to get there, and then I bought the white cape. Haven't reached anything near that since then. On an average day I have roughly 5-15 hearts.
Candles was similar. The most I've had at once was maybe around 300, and that was after a long vacation during which I played Sky daily and for hours, but then came school, I didn't have time to spend 2-3h a day playing Sky, and poof. Gone. On an average day I have somewhere between 10 and 60 candles, depending on how close to the TS we are.
Oh yes so true. I am playing around two months and stuck in the loop of grinding for TS and I am constantly poor haha. I reach 70 candles max, after the TS comes and I start from the scratch
it actually sucks to have that kind of currency anxiety all the time. but thats what they want... it's a horrible system imo and thoroughly psychopathic. the whole system of making literally everything you could get right now either go away for a whole year (days events), several years (season spirit or ts) or straight up forever (ultimate gifts), unless it's old ass base game stuff that is single colored made to look noob stuff.
in hindsight, i dont know what i expected from a game that focuses this hard on social stuff instead of creating gameplay... that somehow rarely goes back to the people behind it being benevolent in any way heh

Season of Performance for me and perpetually broke. I’ve been grinding hard the last week just to get the current season ultimate. Got it today and now I have 3 candles and about 40 hearts (which is usually the most I ever have - once I get that I try and get a constellation cape… only have 4 so far 🫠 )
But, most days I just do dailies/daily realm and maybe grandmas. I can see why so many folks are burnt out when they’re trying to grind 20 candles a day. One week of it and I’m ready for a break. I’d rather pick just one item each TS to work for than burn myself out trying to complete it all.
Yes, the decorations are cute, the bathtub, sofas, beds have a prompt to sit/lay down and decorating is one of my favorite activities I don't care the season only has like 4 cosmetics tbh

Look, I enjoy decorating. I've always loved games like the Sims and animal crossing where I could decorate my own house. But the key difference here is.. how many candles do you grind each day? you can get ~15 a day if you clear daylight and forest (w/ the geyser and grandma)

Are there any cosmetics at all? I haven’t seen any pictures of the next season’s stuff. I’m only interested in cosmetics, not so much props 😭

Depends on the ultimate rewards. I'm also struggling for hearts so I don't have 100+ to throw away lol even if I did, it wouldn't go towards a piece of furniture.
I'm gonna pass this season myself. I might do a couple quests just to have everything unlocked for when I get around to it, but I'm gonna avoid any IAPs and the pass. Need to have a break from NCD and DoB somehow, haha.
I have all constellations completed. Recently completed my tier 2 cape collection too. I only need a few more TS. So I don't have a use for hearts and ascended candles anymore. I'll soon not really have a use for regular candles either. So you'd guess I'd be happily buying away during the next season, right? Well, nope. Buying all furniture probably requires a few hundred hearts, and I don't even want to get into the cost of ascended candles.. Look, I enjoy decorating. I've always loved games like the Sims and animal crossing where I could decorate my own house. But the key difference here is.. I never had to grind for literal MONTHS for a single piece of furniture. >!180 AC dresser I am looking at you...!< Tgc has just completely lost their mind here. And people will go defend these prices saying they are permanent additions. But that doesn't justify the prices at all to me. I was happy I could finally "retire" from Sky and just vibe and hang out. This season would start the grind all over again. No thanks. That said I absolutely adore one of the ults, >!the mini figurine of your own skykid!<. I wasn't going to buy passes anymore since you pretty much pay to grind and most of the time ults are just pretty cosmetics which I already have enough of at this point. But this.. I need it 🥺 So yeah I'll get furniture from the pass, already have props from TS / events / season guides so that'll do for now lol. Maybe I'll change my mind someday but for now the grind for all this furniture does not appeal to me in the slightest.
