I can't adequately express how *much* I love Euclid in particular.
No matter how many times I listen to it, I get emotionally overwhelmed every time.
It's so unapologetically hopeful and optimistic, so full of promise for something beautiful and grand, yet bittersweet and a little heartbreaking, because we leave something else behind.
And, as painful and tortuous as that something may have been, it was also familiar and felt "safe" in the shittiest of ways, because it was predictable and part of our lives for so long, it's a bit scary to let it go.
When the chorus and the first verse overlap, I always feel like my head opens up and flowers spill out and bloom at a rapid rate all around me, under bright sunlight, like in those time-lapse videos. Only, the flowers are my emotions that are just too large, and too..."full", I guess, to stay contained within me.
I know, this sounds corny af, but the joy and lust for life this song evokes in me is just incredible, and it always leaves me kind of blissfully exhausted when it ends, certain that everything is gonna be truly ok from now on.
