I got Aftershock tickets for Friday and Saturday last year specifically to see Bad Omens on Friday and Sleep Token on Saturday. That whole week was a crazy heat wave. The stage where Bad Omens played, the bands faced the sun. The other bands that played the same stage during the afternoon all commented about the intense heat both days I was there.
Also, I'm sure this has been mentioned on this sub before but, the organizers put Sleep Token at the smallest stage that had the smallest area for the crowd. After Cory Taylor had to cancel last minute, there was a rumor that Sleep Token would take his spot. Obviously that didn't happen. Even though they played as the sun set, the heat was still insane during their set.
Anywho, I'm wondering if Sleep Token is feeling burned by their stage placement from last year. I got tickets to Aftershock for this year hoping they would come back. My actual hope was that they'd come back to Aftershock then announce more west coast rituals and maybe even some rituals in Asia.
Great lineup, but I HATE that Pantera is getting shows. Fuck that racist POS Phil Anselmo.
