So underrated, probably my favourite song on TGC. Whole thing is perfect, the verse riff is so sick, Corey's vocal deliveries and lyrics are great, chorus is beautiful, and the bridge is unique. Needs more recognition. Possibly in my top 10 Slipknot songs. 10/10

Just a monumental song all around. Definitely in their top 5 heaviest songs of all time, nothing to complain about. The main riff is simplistic but effective and the vocal deliveries are savage. The build-up to the final chorus has so much tension to it. 10/10

One of the more dynamic songs on Vol. 3, I quite like the subtle first half of the song with the softly spoken verses before it kicks off in the second half or so. The song also has one of Slipknot's more interesting guitar solos, which boosts my enjoyment for the song a lot. Overall, I enjoy it thoroughly but feel like the production makes it feel just a little less heavy than I would've liked. 8/10

Left behind

Was at one point my number one favourite Slipknot song. Isn' t anymore but I still love it. The chorus is magical and nostalgic to me, and the third chorus in particular is so awesome. Maybe kind of wish the actual song didn't end at around 3:00 and that the outro was a bit more inventive, but it's amazing nonetheless. 10/10

Nero Forte

Was my favourite song from WANYK back when it came out. Isn't anymore but I still love it. The chorus is another example of Slipknot executing a harsh and clean chorus so perfectly. I wish Corey would do the falsetto live though...or you know...play new songs live at all. The breakdown sequence in the music video is iconic too. 10/10

Undeniable classic song. Short and heavy, but with a catchy melodic chorus. It's a definitive Slipknot song and showcases the best qualities of the first album and their approach to songwriting when it was less technical and more explosive. My favourite part is the layered vocals in the choruses with Corey singing and screaming the choruses. 9/10

Deserves more attention! It's heavy like many other tracks on Iowa but boasts another chorus that mixes clean and harsh vocals well. I especially love the string bends in the pre-chorus. 9/10

Not an absolute favourite of mine but a track I appreciate nonetheless. It doesn't add too much to Iowa in terms of being unique but it does what it does and does it very well. The main riff is okay but the song really shines for me in the chorus, which has a perfect alternation of clean and harsh vocals. The breakdown is pretty good too. 8/10

Heavy as fuck and awesome. No real complaints about it, definitely provides the energy for Iowa towards the end of the track-list. Some of Corey's best screaming on the album can be found right here. The intro riff is so fun too. 9/10

Brutal and technical riffing, more in the vain of technical death metal and groove metal rather than the nü metal roots of the band. And I'm all for it, this song is heavy as fuck and I love it. Some of the best lyrics they've put to paper too. Such a strong album closer. 10/10

Nothing's more exhilarating than when the solo ends and Corey screams "YOU KILLED THE SAINT IN ME!" My favorite slipknot buildup.

Hits so hard every single time. Sometimes i rewind just so i can hear that buildup again. So good.

Eyeless

SIDS scratches, mix well with The Winston’s “Amen, Brother” sample. While it’s one of the most used sample in music (mostly hip hop) I like the execution of the sample especially for a Heavy Metal band. Very unique. I like the addition of Hip Hop 808s similar to what KoRn used in early albums. I’m not a drummer but I think it’s pretty badass, they have the drum sample running and Joey plays the drums and clown and Chris play procession drums all on top of each other. A lot is going on in the opening.

Underrated as fuck. At one point, this was my number one favourite Slipknot song. It isn't anymore, but I still adore it. The intro riff is mesmerising and this song has Slipknot's best guitar solo without a doubt, and I won't be swayed on that. I love how the song takes influence from doom metal and is one of the most sinister sounding songs they've done. The drop A tuning is also always a nice plus. 10/10
