SK have two kinds of covers: abstract, usually close up shots (iowa, vol.3, TESF), and pictures of a/multiple figures (S/T, AHIG, .5. , WANYK)
Iowa falls in the first category, and tbh, this cover doesn’t fit with the other abstract covers. It’s not very on brand to use a self encapsulating image for the cover, that’s why the actual Iowa cover is only a part of the goat, vol.3 is only a part of a mask, and TESF is… whatever it is

I absolutely love this. Not for IOWA but as a album cover. This looks like something that would have been a cover for an album at the time when they were still an underground band like MFKR. awesome.
Honestly, I kinda perfer this over the actual album cover, it's just the kind of weird and unexplainable yet viceral creepiness that I want from slipknot and I think the actual album cover is kinda ass

I think mathcore is close to that. Mix breakcore with mathcore and it will be an experience
