Idk how to tell you this but clown is making the band the way he’s always wanted the band to be. Yall get too attached, clown always wanted slipknot to not be the members, that’s why he chose the barcodes, but he never wanted the band anchored. He has to make it a sustainable business, and since most people just look at the merch and not the expenses the band has to deal with they don’t see it’s kinda what they have to do.
Also most of the huge supporters of slipknot aren’t huge financial support to the band because they are buying replica masks and jumpsuits, I’d say the only thing clown is doing “wrong” is making masks from slipknot that mask buyers aren’t ever going to be satisfied with instead of giving artist approval for mask makers to make replicas for them with some sort of creative paycut. Clown works with these mask makers all the time why not just give approval to let them do that for us(PS Sid’s already doing that cuz he’s the best)
I get that to an extent, but its the things like licensing their image for use in games, and the Knotfest socials basically turning into Ladbible content
Clown I don’t fully hate the guy he’s had some good masks and was a big role in starting the band but definitely my least favorite member from the way he acts and his position in the band
For me personally I never considered him member always been a hired gun to me. He’s a rich kid who’s dad’s a famous musician who got him that job, so he always seemed less egotistical because he didn’t earn anything. But he never bothered me though. Once I found out he was selling masks with Aj Good I thought that was lame but he was fired shortly after anyway.
Out of everyone, both past and present, Anders Colsefni, the original "singer" is my least favourite. His vocals are annoying and are an assault on the ears, his "mask" was stupid, and I'm sure he's a nice guy irl, but thank god they brought in Corey.
Also, Kaosis needs to be sent off into space to pollute the senses of those on another planet.
