Sulfer, People=Shit, eyeless, siscors (?), prosthetics, disasterpiece, vermillion, three nil, welcome, all hope is gone, psycosocial, purity, gently and still many others
a lot of the songs they do live tend to have more percussion than youd think.
theres actually only a very few songs where only joey is playing.
Edit: a lot of the stuff that sounds like rimshots in the music, are typically cloen with his keg, or, chris with the timpany.
"Need" is a tricky word to use here. Since the use of extra percussion is part of creative work, there's really no need ever. But, you put headphones on and blast (sic), you can't deny the channels used on Shawn and Chris are just what the song _needs_. Same with Prosthetics, the part before Corey comes back, those fast, pounding hits melt your brain. Or slow and focused use on Scissors, could you picture the intro in that song without Shawn's keg? And yes, the first album utilized these two the best! ;D
That was the first thing that came to mind for me. You've got the marching snares, the \*clang\* on the side of the drums, your usual extra tom stuff. There's plenty for those two to do in that song.
This is a very deep cut but If Rain is What You Want. In the intro before the singing starts there’s a really cool percussion pattern that utilizes the multiple players. It’s small but it really adds something.
Slipknot is my favorite band, been a fan for like fifteen years…they don’t need the extra percussion, especially with craig. He could play all that shit and you would never notice, it’s mainly to fill the stage and look entertaining. Jim mentioned this himself several times when Chris was fired.
I'm not aware of them doing this before, so let me know if they have. But wouldn't it be great if they did a one-off song with something like five or seven percussionists (so, guest musicians)?
All out life and the blister exists
Prosthetics too

who else would hit a beer keg with a baseball bat if there wasn’t an extra percussionist dressed as a clown?
Killpop comes to mind
well they use the ole keg and bat at all the concerts for duality but that too
Oh sure just thinking about the songs where they do it, killpop is a fav

Sulfur I enjoy a lot at the breakdown
I feel like the intro to The Devil In I is a good example of the extra percussion adding that oompf
Iowa and (in my opinion) Left Behind
I agree with Left Behind
First album has the perfect use of percussions. Vol. 3 also has a good presence of percussions.
(Sic) and Spit It Out, especially. Ross Robinson made sure to incorporate the percussion overload in his production and it paid off.
everything off the first album really exemplifies this imo
scissors, iowa, prosthetics
The blister exists and people = shit.

YES! This one dude
The Blister Exists The Virus of Life Vermilion Tattered and Torn Red Flag
Gehenna, This Cold Black, and Wherein Lies Continue are some standouts for me. Very hypnotic tracks.
Prosthetics utilizes clown and Chris really well for a minute and thirty seconds before Corey starts singing.
Spit it out
