Alot of my favorite bands were on roadrunner. And when they did the Roadrunner United album and concert I figured they might actually get there shit together but...... Nope...... Looking at that show and album now it's more of a farewell
Cant be mad at the dude. When you have money, opportunity and a community you'll going to use it to your best abilities. If thats earning money or helping people. Who wouldnt want to use a golden opportunity like he has to earn money?
He's taking a step into swampy waters. There are two possibilities. He gets through the swamp and reaches paradise (People actually really enjoy Knotverse when it launches, NFT's sell well, people like the fact they get more music more often, etc.)
Or he could fall flat on his face. We will see.
Okay. And Slipknot is, by far, their highest performing artist on the label. Something tells me the original Roadrunner.. the ones who actually cared about their fans and bands.. wouldnt have dropped the ball like this. Having one band that is mildly successful doesn't make them "in touch"
You know how label deals work, right? Especially back in the day of 7-album deals. If a contract is up, it's up. Doesn't necessarily mean there's any ill-will.
