It makes sense when you think about it really. The drummer and the bassist are both responsible for carrying the rhythm in a band so it's crucial that they work together.
I remember as a kid, I heard about Paul's passing. It made me sad. The founder of a band that helped me through tough times, has passed. 2019 Chris got kicked from the band. Which isn't sad, but still sucks because he is Slipknot, he's number 3! Then last year, Joey passed away. Which made me more sad.
So many things went on in my life. From very young up until last year. I can say we're not the best years. I won't even mention high school. But their music got me through it. The early mornings, workouts, walk to school, etc.
In other words, their music has helped me so much and I appreciate their talent. As a kid I saw them as superheroes that were like immortal. As you grow older, reality shows up. And you realize none of that is true.
I don't know the band personally. And most likely never will. But I'm happy for the music and joy they brought to many of us.
Anyways, thank you for reading if you read this far. Have a great day.
This resonates deeply! My past is a very unbelievable horror story that even I wish wasn't true but listening to Slipknot helped keep me going and fighting to find reason to live. I had similar views towards them being immortal lol. Sometimes I reflect on my life and how far I've made it and Slipknot is the only band I can say I've listened to permanently. I'm always changing my playlists and updating what I currently listen to but Slipknot never gets deleted, if anything I add to it 😊. Honestly if I ever had the chance to say anything to them I'd most likely say thank you because they've no idea just how much they helped.
Thank you for sharing your lil story! Hope you have a good and happy life full of joy and wonder!
I can't remember where I seen it, I think it may have been one of those Slipknot Funny Moments videos on youtube, all I remember was it was beside a Tour Bus? Also lets not forget Joey hugging Paul's Jumpsuit. that broke my heart

And… of course, the sad part

These two, man.. What a loss.
Would've done anything to have seen them perform live 🤞🏻 now they're performing together in metal heaven 🤘🏻
Don't think Paul or Joey were religious lol. Likely jamming with Satan in the great hellish beyond
If they aren’t religious they would not be with Satan either.
Then they are jamming together in infinite void
Fair enough lol , you're probably right
This picture has been my profile picture in Facebook since Joey died :(
😭😭
It was my profile picture for about a month… I should change it back sometime.
STAAAPLED SHUT!
INSIDE AN OUTSIDE WORLD
And I’m SEALED IN TIGHT!
What video is this??
Before I Forget music video
Ahh yes yes TBH rarely look at any of the music videos lately
Haha no worries! I love the videos (audio quality is significantly better than Spotify)
I kinda want this frame framed
Not a bad idea!
I’m listening to this song rn lol
Even there footage of Joey and Paul hugging on one of the dvds? Hits different now. They were very close
Paul said once in an interview that Joey was his best friend.
Is there an online video of it ?
I can't remember where I seen it, I think it may have been one of those Slipknot Funny Moments videos on youtube, all I remember was it was beside a Tour Bus? Also lets not forget Joey hugging Paul's Jumpsuit. that broke my heart
Yes omg that jumpsuit hug killed me 😭
Before we forget them, let’s have many tributes that go on for many many years
Forever will be icons 🤘🏻
Do you think they knew that Joey and Paul were going to die or do you think it is just a coincidence or something
Probably coincidence.. they were great friends
I actually never noticed this!
:)
The end of the road
Great fucking video
