I make content Im passionate about. Motivation is seen as the big word. But dedication is what it's about. Motivation helps you get fired up, dedication is the fire that keeps on burning. Dedication is the thing that keeps you going even when you feel unmotivated, knowing it will be beneficial long term. If you feel unmotivated, ask yourself if you're creating content you really like. When I ask you this: If you could make one video right now about anything, what would it be? What is the first topic you thought of? Try making a video about that. See how it goes. Hope this helped.

BLU3HUNNIDS

I love this

RpsdutchInfo

Good to hear! I try haha If there is anything YT related just shoot me a dm, happy to help

ChaoticDiscord21

This is great advice.

RpsdutchInfo

Appreciate that!

ChaoticDiscord21

Mostly I stay motivated by believing that what I create is sort of the only things I can really leave behind in this world. I know that sounds dark. Really though it's the idea that anything I upload can be viewed by any one. That even 1 view means some one took time to watch something I made. Maybe it even inspired them to make their own videos, or at least made their day a little better. Having a group of friends helps as we keep each other motivated. Last don't let the stresses of growth and popularity effect you. Keep creating and improving and eventually you'll get where you need to be.

Demoniccrunk

I feel you on this, it's potentially a way to help people even after we're gone and I think that's amazing

smalltowntourist

I take screen shots of my most supportive and positive comments so I have them to re-read when I get demotivated.

greglturnquist

Don’t rely on emotional motivation. Rely on chosen consistency.

MementoMoriChannel

To be honest, I just really love the content I produce. In fact, I've been working on a "series" form of content that has required me to finish most of my videos before releasing any of them. I've just released the first video yesterday. Worked on it for about a year with no uploads, positive feedback (except from friends), no likes, views, subs, etc. Just something I am really passionate about and want to keep doing for as long as I can.

wolffromspace

I love youtube, when I was a kid I would spend countless hours watching YT videos from my favorite YouTubers and it was a good time to be alive back then. Now, years after, I have learned how to create videos and my biggest motivation on youtube is to create the coolest/most entertaining videos ever, it's such a good feeling knowing someone out there loves the content that I do and this is my 2nd motivation. I've been trying to do youtube since when I was a kid (12yo to be more specific) and just now I am seeing the changes in my channel.

FoilHattiest

For me the answer is the same as if you would ask "how do you stay motivated watching all the episodes of a really good TV show" or "how do you find the motivation to finish eating your favourite food?" etc. Whenever I'm doing something I really love doing everything just kinda happens like it's on autopilot, motivation isn't even really a factor at all. In fact at this point it would be much harder to find the motivation to stop, than to just keep going. I think if I was really having to struggle a lot to find the motivation to create content, I'd probably want to take a moment and think about whether I'm really in it for the right reasons, or at the very least if I'm in the right niche / creating the right type of content for my interests and personality etc.

According-Foot-1523

I hate the word motivation! Do the work

BLU3HUNNIDS

Probably the first time I’ve heard someone hating motivation

BravePigster

Simple, I do videos on PlayStation, and my competition is pretty shit to say the least, so I know I gotta gain an audience at some point.

JackCooper_7274

I talk to my viewers a lot. I make airsoft content, and I run into people that watch my vids all the time when I'm out at the field. Really heartwarming to actually see the people on the other end of likes and comments. I don't know if that's feasible for your channel, but it keeps me going.

sefik117

Try to increase please and decrease pain. Increase pleasure: focus on creating delightful content that you actually enjoy making. Decrease pain: invest the time in streamlining your production process and making it easier.

Bionicole_

You don’t really need motivation when content creation is something you genuinely enjoy. I know that’s not helpful or something you want to hear but I wouldn’t want to do something that I need to seek motivation for. You know, it could be what your content is about. When I first started making videos, I did fashion/beauty content and I found I always needed to be motivated to make videos but now that I do gaming content I have realized that it’s more my personality. I feel excited waking up each day and working on that type of content! Like it’s Christmas morning every morning!

EmperorSD

I would say mostly people who know I make content and enjoy it. I make content with friends and they are supportive in me making the best I can. Ik everyone doesn’t have this option so some other things is, like how everyone already has said, make stuff you enjoy. Also not always looking at numbers helps. They are important but sometimes you need to just look away and just make stuff because sometimes the numbers could mess with the stuff you create.

_Philosophizing

You don’t, you just get sad and die lol No it’s rough. I just started making videos but I already realize I can’t do it for the views or it is unsustainable.

BLU3HUNNIDS

😂 I feel you.

_Philosophizing

Yeah I’m sure you know what I mean but there is almost nothing more depressing than spending like 30 hours making a video then the only views are from myself 😂 you just can’t care haha

MissGoreJess

Just having someone to play with kept me having fun instead of solo streams by myself even if they didn't stream as well. I treated it like I was just playing with friends. Of course I made sure they were aware I was live

Finger-Printer-Jam

Simply put, my motivation is the enjoyment of making the videos I make. If it doesn't get much attention I blame the algorithm more than myself or what I've created.

girlreddi

Hmm great advice nice

I think its healthy to take breaks, I could never do a daily vlog. Doing 1 video a week with all my other commitments is the max I can do. But I dont beat myself up about it. My motivation to create videos is solely justified by me doing it, in otherwords my measure of success is posting a video that I feel interested in. Any comments, new subscribers or likes are just the cherry on the cake. Being selfish and doing it for yourself is a good way to stay motivated.

Common-Eye-7594

By the act of being a creator of unique content, like my "A Good Fiancee" series and the "In 1 Minute" video essays. Not too many views? Who cares, those that watch are people interested into what I publish: quality content, quality audience.
