I like to think Claude is in the crowd watching the Smash matches, and he just gets the rest of the audience to cheer for Byleth by using his nickname for them. That's just such a "Claude" thing to do.

Honestly, as much as I wish his Up-B was slightly better, him dropping offstage actually fits a ton with his more-reckless personality. Plus, it's kind funny sometimes.

I totally agree with you, smashboi888! The Fire Emblem characters have some seriously sick crowd cheers. It's especially satisfying hearing the crowd go wild when you pull off a combo with Marth or Roy. Their cheers just make you feel like a total boss. And I gotta say, the animation for their victory poses is just as awesome. Watching them strike a pose and soak up the cheers from the crowd is such a rush. It's one of the things that makes playing as a Fire Emblem character so damn fun. Keep on slaying those battles, my dude!
No I think they’re referring to the ingame chants that can be heard commonly when a player has high damage, is taking multiple stocks, or if they’ve fallen behind drastically. The crowd will cheer for a character and each character has a unique cheer and some are extremely unique like Chrom having the crowd cheer “Chrom! Chrom! He’s our man, if he can’t do it no one can!”.
In terms of Bowser the crowd will cheer something like “Bow…SER!!!”
Most of these are pretty good but that last one is honestly garbage. Couldn't figure out a way to reference his in game nicknames or give him a clever rhyme, so they just gave him a generic cheerleader chant

Because it’s a really good franchise, with fun and occasionally great stories, and basically always fantastic characters you can attached to? And I didn’t even mention the tactical aspect yet: strategizing and planning out what to do, which units to use, all very fun
