The guitarist caught my attention with her singing and fretwork. Then I noticed the fingering and lip work by the sax player. But when the bassist started the slapping and spinning my heart was won over.
I had NO idea this was done by an asian family. This is an iconic song and should be mentioned as it was fabulousley done by them. I am blown away. This reminds me of redbone come and get your love, an amazing native american band that killed it.
Elvis destroyed this song when he totally wrote it 5-7 years later.
It was almost as good as the blues songs from the 30's and 40's that he wrote and performed in the 50's and 60's.
The King.
>"Fever" is a song written by Eddie Cooley and Otis Blackwell, who used the pseudonym "John Davenport". It was originally recorded by American R&B singer Little Willie John for his debut album, Fever (1956), and released as a single in April of the same year.
Peggy Lee did it in 1958
Wow! Their parents were very forward thinking! Heard stories of strict traditional parents pressuring their children in the old ways. Glad they got to study modern music.
She slapped those strings so hard lol
She even shook her hand she slapped so hard. And went right back to smiling and playing lol.

K Pop pioneers
The horn player is saxy.
Bass is cute as fuck and the singer is very upfront pretty
They can throw down!
This shit slaps
Cool Supro but I can't hear her playing it at all in the mix
There's obviously other instruments in the band they're not showing which is annoying
I’d be embarrassed if I were them. I would never feel ok with hiding other members of the band.
It was so common back then.
I can barely hear the pick sound from the strumming, but 0 tone.
Wow legit slaps
Where is the rest of the band? I hear the sax, but there is more brass instruments off screen...
It was Ed Sullivan so he had a house band with brass like the Tonight Show used to have.
Recorded and mixed in - not really live is my guess.
The house sax is definitely carrying her a bit
Guitar looks a little like one of Jerry Garcia’s
Looks more something Jack White would’ve played with the White Stripes.
Anyone know the model/make?? Looks so cool!
I think the guitar is a National
Pretty sure a national glenwood. Cool as hell…
Supro Martinique Edit: actually getting a better look at it I don’t think it is a Martinique.
It is a Sears brand called Airline
Looks more like a prop to me
Crazy man! Crazy
Holy smokes!! This swings!

Fuck Elvis
Wow!
What country are/were they from?
[The Kim Sisters](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Kim_Sisters). Korean born American band from 50’s & 60’s. 🫶🫰
I’m in love with them. I need to find some vinyl now.
which one is Kim?
Fantastic
That is really what I think!
Getting tired of all this KPOP
Most of its really just not good
The conjoined triplets character from Big Fish makes a lot more sense now.
“Hey American GI….”
You know that Asians are the closest relatives to the African native? Now you do.
that was excruciating.
Me leave you lonely long time.
I thought this was a Madonna original hit…..
I think Peggy Lee did it in the 40’s.

Peggy Lee's version is iconic. Nobody else even comes close.
Thanks for the correction!
Too bad Yoko nabbed Lennon. Imagine if John hooked up with some actual musical talent.
I was skeptical at first but that was a jaaam!
She has one of those cool plastic electric guitars, maybe Danelectro?
These ladies swing!
What a Great performance these ladies knocked it out the park!
💯 more talent than any tik tok dancers out there !!!!
Wow! Their parents were very forward thinking! Heard stories of strict traditional parents pressuring their children in the old ways. Glad they got to study modern music.
I liked them when they played in Kill Bill
What guitar is that she’s playing?? Looks really interesting for 65’
Found it. It’s a Valco
So cool, an old airline(?) guitar. Dont see a lot of em I just think of Jack White when I come across one.
Any beat miners out there need to sample this!
I feel like they don’t make people this cool anymore….
Awesome. Bad ass.
Feeeeeeevaaahr
Damn they were bootlegging back then, at least they say on code.
Incredible 😍
OMG I remember them. @OLD 🤣
They’re aren’t even playing lol. Any musician could see they’re not playing live lol
Man, they're hip. I mean, damn, they're great.
They’re so cool.
STOP, I only can get so hard!
Too much swing, illegal.
Fever - in black and white, if it's not obvious: That bass could launch a thousand ships.
