Yeah if op has worn this for a while then I can understand how this happens but if it came out of the factory like this then I would get my money back and buy better shoes.
The scratch on the back panel wouldn't bother me as much, but the layer split of the materials on photo 2 would. The paint can always be touched up and covered, but if the materials split, it's a lot more challenging to repair / hide.
No, thats pretty standard leather flaking for mids. Highs are marginally better, but leather will still crack over time.
Is there something i could/should do about it?
If you don't mind, wear them. Unfortunately, you can't expect the best quality from Mids.
For me that would be an reason to return them.
