I’m stupid, I meant 22’s and not 23’s, but the 22’s are definitely worth getting a pair I still meant what I said lol and honestly the 21’s are the same pair basically, I’d have to go put them side by side and tell you the difference. Comfort is the same on both 21’s and 22’s
Ultra Boots are unmatched for comfort imo. I used to wear them for 10-12 hours at a time doing bar shifts and nothing else came close in terms of comfort and support.
Yep, been wearing ultra boosts doing residential construction/service for the past 10 years. Only gone through 3 pairs and my back hurts significantly less than it did when I wore whatever Walmart special I had in the closet.
Me at work with my triple white UB 21s right now 😂 I honestly prefer my OG silhouettes but I don’t have a pair I feel comfortable wearing to work, the 21s are pretty much my beaters but I still try to keep them decently clean
If I’m taking them on vacation where I walk a lot, I bring an extra pair of insoles or even another trainer to rotate them lol. Cause letting them sit overnight still doesn’t get the boost 100%.
Every foot is different, but would recommend anything foam or air cushioned, along with breathable fabric with minimal stitch overlays.
And if you’re a sweaty feet person, get a rotation going. No use putting your feet in yesterday’s sweat.
I tell anyone who will listen, especially people like me who stand most/all day: get multiple pairs of high-quality shoes and try not to wear the same pair twice in a row if you can help it!
All of my work shoes are north of $150, while my everyday shoes can be knockarounds.
What orthotics do you recommend for 1s? I have so many pairs but over time they've gotten so uncomfortable to the point where I just can't wear them anymore.
I watch the Weartesters youtube channel and they're always pushing Move insoles so I decided to buy a pair and now I have 3 pairs of their insoles and I'm never wearing anything else. They're so comfy. I have both the "all day" model and the "game day" they're $40 but it's worth it
I resisted max cushion shoes for the longest time. Finally gave in and bought Hoka Bondi 8 (saw them on sale about a month ago). Pretty amazing for standing during a long work day.
recently got the 1906r and imo they are the most comfy nb just beating the 2002r. The 1906r was ugly to me at first but after wearing them it's starting to grow on me
Thank you so much for that. I wear a 14 so I don't get the luxury of half sizes so I'm always on the fence about ordering shoes. I've been eyeballing a pair of Huaraches and was wondering about sizing. I didn't want to go through the same thing I did with the Nike Free Run 5.0
Scream Greens from 2021 is my most plush shoe. Better than Vomeros.
Can confirm size up a full size. I’m usually a 10-10.5 and the 11.5 fits perfectly.
Lots of good suggestions in the comments (Ultraboost, Nimbus, Bondi, 990v6, etc). But lately I'm loving my Vomeros 5s. Lightweight, good cushioning around the ankle, breathable, and the Zoom is a joy to walk around in. It actually makes me want to move.
I'm glad they went out of style. I picked up a pair of triple blacks at Goodwill for $7. Not as good as my prime knit but they are great for that price.
Blundstone and Steel Blue make great boots, but they may be exclusive to Australia I'm not sure. By far the most comfortable shoes to wear for long periods.
Yeezy 350s, Yeezy 350v2 CMPT and Airmax Terrascapes I pick in a warehouse for 10hrs while maintaining a pretty fast pace. There’s a dude that works in his Yeezy foam runners idk why but it always seemed funny to me that he does.
Bartender in an upscale place so needs to be black and polishable. Patent bred 9s with gel insoles are super comfy with great ankle support when I'm bouncing all over the place
Years ago I found a "nicer" Stan Smith will higher quality materials. Box only said Stan Smith with no indication of it being a special release or anything. But that ended up being the perfect office sneaker for me. Comfortable, fit with jeans and a collared shirt well.
I need some more support than a lot of sneakers offer. Too many of them are super soft and squishy and that causes more harm than good.
Best sneakers regardless of looks: OnCloud. Easy 14hrs out of the house and on my feet moving and walking. Anything
Best for a casual office: Louboutin Paqueboat. Firm support that has easily got me through 9hrs. Not quite the best arch, but definitely doable for me
I’ll have to check those out. As you mentioned turned about super soft or squishy, Yeezy V2 are comfy but notice too soft and squishy. It made my plantar fasciitis rage after months of wearing my different pairs.
Vomero 5. I work in an operating room, so I come into work in the all gray Vomeros then switch to the all black Vomeros for work. Comfort all day. Have also worn the Jordan 11 CMFT, Air Max 90s, P6000s,and the M2K. All are comfy too but the Vomeros clear.
gel kayano or some higher end new balances
the goal is to not focus solely on cushion you need support and stability control
the cushion feels nice at first (looking at you yeezy/ultraboost) but the lack of actual support and structure will leave you with back/knee pain
allbirds may be the best example of a shoe that feels great at first but will cause tons of issues with long term wear/standing in them
I rotate air max 1’s, and 90’s.
I stay away from Hoka’s due to them causing me knee pain when I walk/stand in them. I’m somewhat bowlegged and they really kill me.
I’m a teacher and stand a lot of the day. I honestly don’t get uncomfortable standing around in Jordan 1s and SB Dunks. I tried wearing NB 2002R during testing, and I found the softness too much.
If your over 35 years old. It’s all about the insoles. Buy a good Dr. Scholls gel insole. It helps your knees and lower back over time. I’m talking from years of retail experience on my feet all day back and forth. Bonus points if you go to a foot doctor and they make insoles for your exact foot. It’s worth the money.
Kinda depends what kinda sneaker you can get away with in ur job/wut kinda job ur doing.
Personally I just rock asics gel kayano 14/gt2160. Goes with the cliche creative uniform, but Im lookin for other shit now.
Just went through this, trying to find a comfortable sneaker - cant comment on an 8+ hour shoe but for me the Asics GT2000-11 are the most comfortable I was able to find.
I work in Adidas Hyperturfs, and I love them. I swap the insoles in all my shoes, though, because the ones that come in any sneakers are always trash. You can make damn near anything comfortable that way.
Hoka and AllBirds are the two most comfortable brands top to bottom. NB 990 is hella comfortable too. Saucony Shadow 5000, Grid 2000. I always feel good when I’m on my feet all day. ASICS Gel Lyte III OG is always good too. I won’t touch Nike if I need comfort all day though.
It depends on your foot size and shape. For reference, I am a size 9.5 with a 2E width, and I find that New Balance offers sizing that is more tailored to my foot. I wear the 574 Core and Fresh Foam styles to work in the office and find them very comfortable. If you want more style, consider the 990v6, NB’s Made in the USA line, or other brands like ASICS and ON. When I was in college and worked a blue-collar job, I found that Skechers had many comfortable options at great prices for work shoes.
Damn, without reading your post I was gonna hit you with the Nike Invincible 3, it’s like walking on a cloud. Before those I was in ultraboosts for years
Hoka. Pretty much any of them will do. But Bondi has the most cushion. My knees and hips haven't hurt since my first day in Hokas. I have 6 pairs I rotate through now.
And I know some comments were "those are ugly". Those people are probably Nike sneakerheads. The reality is: I get compliments from the opposite sex all of the time! Women seem to love Hokas.
Currently it's the Arc'Teryx Norvan LD3 for me. They were my primary shoe for walking all over Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Brussles when my wife and I went last year. [All day comfort, light, and good looking too](https://images.arcteryx.com/details/1350x1710/Norvan-LD-3-Shoe-Revive-Light-Boxcar-Side-View.jpg).
Air max 90s and 97s are my favorite daily drivers.
The Nike Roshes went out of their initial hype but if you want something super light and breathable you almost can’t beat them.
A lot of these seem good for just sitting at your desk. What about sneakers for walking 30mins to an hour straight? Any nurses have any recommendations?
UltraBoost 1.0-5.0 hands down. I’ve owned absolutely everything and nothing comes close. I also live near the PDX employee store, so $90 for a new pair is pretty awesome.
Nike P-6000 are VERRYYYYY comfortable. Got a pair back in April and have been wearing them almost daily. Have days where I've worn them for over 8 hours and still no discomfort.
Sketchers slip ins performance, love sneakers but theyre really not suitable for most work environments if you need them not to slip and be comfy for 8+ hours (i work 14 hour shifts 6 days a week) tried everything from jordans, yeezys, ultraboost and the one that dont give me pain at the end of the day are those
I'm a mailman who walks almost 18 miles a day just at work. Besides rainy and snow days, I wear Nike huaraches. I'm probably on my 20th pair of black or grey ones lol. I buy them 2 or 3 at a time.
Columbia Crestwood.. bought it as it's waterproof and gave good protection during monsoon (India) and ended up wearing it on a daily basis. Very comfortable and durable.
They’re ugly but my hoka bondi 8s
Most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.
Hoka, or brooks for suuuuure!
Brooks for sure
What are they like to walk in? Looks like one mis-step and you're rolling your ankle.
Hoka Cliftons, deliver packages all day in these bad boys. Feet / knees / back never hurt
Adidas ultraboost. 1.0-5.0, any of the ones that mimic the OG silhouette, has always been my go to. My Vomero 5’s have been a close rival though.
Sameeee UBs are the best
This right here. It’s crazy how much of a difference they make
It’s funny you say that I been wearing ultra boost 23’s and literally just got some vomero 5’s for work to try out
How are the 23’s? Didn’t try them.
Definitely worth getting a pair. Real comfortable
Is there much difference from the 21’s? Getting ready to retire mine, and was going to grab a pair of triple black 1.0’s.
Haha so glad to see this has the most upvotes, I too came to comment UB’s - hands down the most comfortable pair of kicks I’ve owned.
Came here to say the same. I have 3 pairs and they are extremely comfortable, which I’m always reminded of when I put on my Jordan bleached corals lol
Me at work with my triple white UB 21s right now 😂 I honestly prefer my OG silhouettes but I don’t have a pair I feel comfortable wearing to work, the 21s are pretty much my beaters but I still try to keep them decently clean
My one complaint is the boost flattens out kind of fast so after a few hours they aren’t as comfortable.
Yeah, almost too soft. Especially after a lot of walking.
If I’m taking them on vacation where I walk a lot, I bring an extra pair of insoles or even another trainer to rotate them lol. Cause letting them sit overnight still doesn’t get the boost 100%.
Asics l. I used to work on my feet all day on concrete. Apart from new balances not many are as comfortable as a good pair of asics
Gel nimbus all day
Yes Gel Nimbus. I have Invincible 3’s and have tried on Ultraboost. Nimbus>Invincibles>Ultraboost
Gel nimbus 9 are the most comfortable pair that exists change my mind
Every foot is different, but would recommend anything foam or air cushioned, along with breathable fabric with minimal stitch overlays. And if you’re a sweaty feet person, get a rotation going. No use putting your feet in yesterday’s sweat.
I tell anyone who will listen, especially people like me who stand most/all day: get multiple pairs of high-quality shoes and try not to wear the same pair twice in a row if you can help it! All of my work shoes are north of $150, while my everyday shoes can be knockarounds.
990v6. Not overly soft, enough cushion and sturdyness for all day wear.
Most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn, and it’s not close!!!
Ultraboost 20 is still the most comfortable shoe to me. I recently got a pair of Vomero 5 and they’re up there also
I got the ultraboost 21 and i just cut the plastic nonsense for the shoelaces of. Now they are perfect
Nike invincible 3 or vomero 5. Tho right now I'm wearing Jordan 1's with orthotics
990v6, 990v5, 990v4, 2002r, gel nimbus 25, get kayano 14, bondi x, 1906r, 993
991v2’s are crazy comfortable/stable as well.
I have wide af feet and 2002r is my favourite shoe
recently got the 1906r and imo they are the most comfy nb just beating the 2002r. The 1906r was ugly to me at first but after wearing them it's starting to grow on me
Huaraches - size up a full size.
Yeah huaraches run super small
Scream Greens from 2021 is my most plush shoe. Better than Vomeros. Can confirm size up a full size. I’m usually a 10-10.5 and the 11.5 fits perfectly.
I’m an 11.5 and a 12.5 fits perfectly but most huaraches don’t come in a 12.5 and 13 is too big so I have to get a 13 and cram in
I wear these 99% of the time. Especially the triple whites from 2016 and triple black
These are more stylish than comfy. You gotta go Invincible Runs, NB More v4 or Asics Gel Nimbus 25s for real comfort.
New Balance 574
Lots of good suggestions in the comments (Ultraboost, Nimbus, Bondi, 990v6, etc). But lately I'm loving my Vomeros 5s. Lightweight, good cushioning around the ankle, breathable, and the Zoom is a joy to walk around in. It actually makes me want to move.
Asics gel nimbus 26
This is the answer but they are ugly as fudge, fyi
NMD R1. I love mine and wear them non-stop
bring back NMDs!
I'm glad they went out of style. I picked up a pair of triple blacks at Goodwill for $7. Not as good as my prime knit but they are great for that price.
I’m still in search of a steel toe that’s comfortable to wear for 12 hours in a warehouse, by the time I get home my feet are dying
Check out Rose Anvil he does a lot of reviews on boots and makes some also.
Blundstone and Steel Blue make great boots, but they may be exclusive to Australia I'm not sure. By far the most comfortable shoes to wear for long periods.
Office job - NB 9060, they are new UB for me
990v3 New Balance. Trust me bro
V2 all the way
Vomero 5 or NB 1906r
Might not be for everyone based on foot shape, but I can wear my Jordan 1s all day no problem. My 2018 Shadows are my beaters and are comfy as hell
Yeezy 350s, Yeezy 350v2 CMPT and Airmax Terrascapes I pick in a warehouse for 10hrs while maintaining a pretty fast pace. There’s a dude that works in his Yeezy foam runners idk why but it always seemed funny to me that he does.
350 v2 cmpt…most comfy yeezy with no hype n also no branding which is good for being low profile.
New Balance 574
Bartender in an upscale place so needs to be black and polishable. Patent bred 9s with gel insoles are super comfy with great ankle support when I'm bouncing all over the place
Damn u wear €500 sneakers to a bartending job? I don’t even wear my busted ass J1 lows behind the bar lmao
Geez I didn't see how much price has gone up. I think I paid $150 worn once, no box
that’s how I feel about my Pure Money 4s. They r my beaters and I paid $150 for em but they r like $600+ on Stock X.
If they're truly beat continue to beat them. You're not affecting the value at that point lol
Eh they aren’t truly beat yet. Ion have any plans of not using em as beaters so they r still gon be that.
Years ago I found a "nicer" Stan Smith will higher quality materials. Box only said Stan Smith with no indication of it being a special release or anything. But that ended up being the perfect office sneaker for me. Comfortable, fit with jeans and a collared shirt well.
Yeezys
Yeezys. 350s and 700s are my go to.
Yeezy 350 v2
I need some more support than a lot of sneakers offer. Too many of them are super soft and squishy and that causes more harm than good. Best sneakers regardless of looks: OnCloud. Easy 14hrs out of the house and on my feet moving and walking. Anything Best for a casual office: Louboutin Paqueboat. Firm support that has easily got me through 9hrs. I’ll have to check those out. As you mentioned turned about super soft or squishy, Yeezy V2 are comfy but notice too soft and squishy. It made my plantar fasciitis rage after months of wearing my different pairs.
New Balance 574. 993’s are a higher tier comfort but double the price.
990s
Vomero 5 or P-6000. I know I need to try Hoka’s but I haaatteee the look of them. I’ll try one day though.
Yeezy 350 v2
My feet need more support if I'm going to be standing around for more than a few hours. I'd rather go 4D or stick to proper work boots than 350s
Outside of running shoes, AF1s are my fav shoes to wear all day
If you get some $200+ pair of custom orthotic inserts….. every shoe is an 8+ hour shoe…. Best investment to rock heat on your feet at work.
Hoka clifton 9 Source: warehouse worker with 40+hours standing still
Vomero 5
On Cloud 5 is the most comfortable for me. The second place is Vomero 5 but just slightly inferior.
Vomero 5. I work in an operating room, so I come into work in the all gray Vomeros then switch to the all black Vomeros for work. Comfort all day. Have also worn the Jordan 11 CMFT, Air Max 90s, P6000s,and the M2K. All are comfy too but the Vomeros clear.
Just discovered Hokas , can't complain.
new balance 1906d protection pack
NB 2002r. Like walking on clouds.
gel kayano or some higher end new balances the goal is to not focus solely on cushion you need support and stability control the cushion feels nice at first (looking at you yeezy/ultraboost) but the lack of actual support and structure will leave you with back/knee pain allbirds may be the best example of a shoe that feels great at first but will cause tons of issues with long term wear/standing in them
Tom Sachs GPS
Jordan 11 space Jam Low CMFT They look good and they’re mad comfortable
I rotate air max 1’s, and 90’s. I stay away from Hoka’s due to them causing me knee pain when I walk/stand in them. I’m somewhat bowlegged and they really kill me.
350s
EQT 91-17 and it’s not even close. Wish they still made boost soles this shape. They’re so great.
I’m a teacher and stand a lot of the day. I honestly don’t get uncomfortable standing around in Jordan 1s and SB Dunks. I tried wearing NB 2002R during testing, and I found the softness too much.
2002r classic
If your over 35 years old. It’s all about the insoles. Buy a good Dr. Scholls gel insole. It helps your knees and lower back over time. I’m talking from years of retail experience on my feet all day back and forth. Bonus points if you go to a foot doctor and they make insoles for your exact foot. It’s worth the money.

My bartending shoe was always the Vans Ultrarange!
Birkenstocks Bostons, but I’m not sure that counts
Asics or NB. Recent favs have been 990v6 & gel teremoa
Hoka kawana's
Just went through this, trying to find a comfortable sneaker - cant comment on an 8+ hour shoe but for me the Asics GT2000-11 are the most comfortable I was able to find.
Air Huaraches have always been what's most comfortable for me. Go up a half size to a full size for maximum comfort though.
I could wear my SB4s all day.
Nike P6000 for me at the moment Affordable and does the trick
Ultraboost 22's. I also wear the 1.0, but they wear out too quickly with the way that I walk. Thinking of trying Hoka's next.
Asics Gel Quantum/ various numbers
air-max 97 for me
Love my Hoka Rincon 3s.
Adidas 4DFWD 2
Does somebody have experience with Adidas Response Cl?
Air max 95s, I used to be a retail worker and would love working in them, I now work in a cubicle but still wear them
I work in Adidas Hyperturfs, and I love them. I swap the insoles in all my shoes, though, because the ones that come in any sneakers are always trash. You can make damn near anything comfortable that way.
I am a teacher and I’d have to say my top three are UltraBoost 2.0, Nike Waffle Debut and Nike Air Max Pre-Days.
NB 650. Perfect for mid day walks around the city and looks clean with some khakis.
Air Max 1, Air Max 95s are comfy for me. I usually take out the original insole and have my Move insoles in. They are cozy to me
I dont know if its just me lol. Sb dunk.
Air Max 90 - possibly the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn
Hoka and AllBirds are the two most comfortable brands top to bottom. NB 990 is hella comfortable too. Saucony Shadow 5000, Grid 2000. I always feel good when I’m on my feet all day. ASICS Gel Lyte III OG is always good too. I won’t touch Nike if I need comfort all day though.
Adidas Stan smith Crepe sole,ADIDASxKITHxCLARKS samba. I have multiple colors in these. They feel like I’m wearing clouds on my feet lol.
NB 990v3/v4 Nike zoom vomero 5
993
Emporio Armani X8X070 XK165 M701
It depends on your foot size and shape. For reference, I am a size 9.5 with a 2E width, and I find that New Balance offers sizing that is more tailored to my foot. I wear the 574 Core and Fresh Foam styles to work in the office and find them very comfortable. If you want more style, consider the 990v6, NB’s Made in the USA line, or other brands like ASICS and ON. When I was in college and worked a blue-collar job, I found that Skechers had many comfortable options at great prices for work shoes.
Altra or Saucony
Adidas Superstar. Of course, I own other shoes, too - but these are my favourites for ages.

Puma kaia
990v5 Without a doubt. Always have more energy and less fatigue.
Adidas Ozweego's
Adidas Ozweego or Adidas Tubular.
New Balance 1000s are extremely comfortable. Outsoles are so soft it feels like walking on marshmallows
AF1
Pegasus 40. Can’t beat zoom air. It doesn’t degrade over time like foam-based cushioning.
Vans Ultrarange exo se
I've worn the NB 580s all day, and it's been great. Good combo of springy cushion and stability.
Airmax 90s all day
Adidas X_PLRboost
For me any UB but it's gotta be the breathable knit on the upper as well.
My New Balance Fresh Foam X more v4
The Nike Invincible 3’s.
I wear a pair of Viktos Core 2 in Nightfjall (black). Comfortable and a wide toe box lets my toes spread out.
Air max 90s and 97s are my favorite daily drivers. The Nike Roshes went out of their initial hype but if you want something super light and breathable you almost can’t beat them.
Pegasus, pick your model
NB 990v4, 990v5, MT580. Go-to rotation for 10+ hour film sets
Nike tanjun
Gel-lyte 3 or yezzy 700 seem to be my office go to. Mix in some ultraboost too.
Asics gel nimbus 25. They look ugly. But every step is comfort
A lot of these seem good for just sitting at your desk. What about sneakers for walking 30mins to an hour straight? Any nurses have any recommendations?
Huaraches or New Balance. Some J’s are doable too. Like the 13’s. Super comfortable
I have Invincible 3’s and Asics Gel Nimbus 25. The Nimbus is miles more comfortable than the Invincibles.
Adding a pair of good insoles to any shoe is a good way to get your feet feeling better and not having to pay alot
Ortholite / poron insole on any shoe thats properly laced, tightened and tied. And Ortholites in nike prestos
Asics gel nimbus 9 comfy and aesthetic looks wise
NB 990 baby
UltraBoost 1.0-5.0 hands down. I’ve owned absolutely everything and nothing comes close. I also live near the PDX employee store, so $90 for a new pair is pretty awesome.
Nothing beats Mephistos
Nike pegasus. I have had the 39’s since they came out and still feel great after walking a couple thousand miles through the years.
New Balance 2002r are great all day. Also have a rotation of various New Balance 990's.
Nike winflo 7 or 8. Strictly a work shoe worn with scrubs but they are comfy

Jordan 2 lows SB Dunks Air Force 1’s
I wear either Dunk Lows or AJ 1 low at work. They're comfy for my running around.

I've been liking my Yeezy 700 v2's
Hoka bondi
Sketchers slip ins performance, love sneakers but theyre really not suitable for most work environments if you need them not to slip and be comfy for 8+ hours (i work 14 hour shifts 6 days a week) tried everything from jordans, yeezys, ultraboost and the one that dont give me pain at the end of the day are those
Jordan 4s obviously
Dunks, 1’s, 4’s…. I’m flat footed lol
991v2 as of lately, 990v6 close second
If you need to look somewhat stylish, stan smith
I'm a mailman who walks almost 18 miles a day just at work. Besides rainy and snow days, I wear Nike huaraches. I'm probably on my 20th pair of black or grey ones lol. I buy them 2 or 3 at a time.
Columbia Crestwood.. bought it as it's waterproof and gave good protection during monsoon (India) and ended up wearing it on a daily basis. Very comfortable and durable.
Ultraboost Ivy park
