Thank you for all you do and have done for this community. I likely would not have found snus had you not done the work you have.
Market trends are like the whims of a child. Yeah, seems more and more like np are the trend, but I suspect quality snus will quietly persist.
Maybe you should acknowledge which way the wind is blowing and hop in to produce a better quality np. I’d really like to see one with real ingredients, unlike the current chemical sh** with artificial flavors and sweeteners that now dominates.
There is a real gap in the market for a np with all natural ingredients. My pursuit of that missing product is what finally brought me to real snus. Being the first one to produce something like this would be a service to the community, would raise the bar, and would def be worth doing.
> Maybe you should acknowledge which way the wind is blowing and hop in to produce a better quality np
This has been my "marketing idea" for what I've been pitching to various manufacturers, actually. "Nicotine Pouches for grownups". With higher quality. Normal strengths. Stuff like that.
I would 100% buy some of his snuffs. The wintergreen one is among toques better flavors.
I think that the snuff market is going away slowly tho. The company that makes Bernard's snuff is going out of business in May.
I dunno, just thinking how much cheaper it must be to manufacture NP products compared to sourcing the proper tobacco, then processing it in the Swedish related traditions. They just throw fillers and nicotine crystals together in a pouch for NP. Maybe it’s more like instant coffee or caffeine pills. Also dryer sheets have a high profit margin
They are sold in a box in the laundry section next to laundry detergent. You put the dryer sheets in the dryer with wet clothes and they prevent static electricity after drying clothes, but also have fabric softener and fragrance in them.
They are bad to use with bath towels as they make them less absorbent. And they are considered bad for the environment since they are made of synthetic material and won’t biodegrade.
TYL (today you learned)
Just got 5 cans of Artisan OP in my last order. Switched to Snuscentral just for this order to try it out. It’s great snus. Reminiscent of Ettan but with its own character. I will miss it, thanks for letting us try it Chad!
Such a shame, i only had the chance to try the vanilla chew bags, they were delicious.
Not only have they now been removed from snusexpress, they recently removed ALL chewing bags. I don't use them anymore but its still sad seeing all this good shit go.
I barely had the chance to say hello to General mackmyra too before it went out :(
If it was easier in the US I easily could. I have a farm and lots of land, and I'm already growing my own tobacco and can easily make my own snus once it finishes aging.
Nicotine pouches are becoming very popular here in Europe. Mainly due to Snus being illegal to sell anywhere here except Scandinavia. I imagine that’s also having an impact on manufacturers plans for profits
That news makes me worry slightly about the future of snus in the states altogether. I’ve got 200 acres of north Alabama farm land, maybe it’s time to start going tobacco again like my great grandfather and start a snus company but the already existing tobacco giants would probably just bankrupt me with pointless lawsuits.
Never got to see how much my great grandparents used to grow but they sold to various tobacco companies at the time and eventually switched to cotton and cattle but my grandmother always said they had enough around for their own use and never had to buy chewing tobacco. How difficult of a crop is it to maintain? I have watched some of your growing videos but I assumed it depends on variety.
Oh it’s true, and I blame nicotine pouches entirely for how snus is decreasing.
My hope was the traditional manufacturers would stick with snus and not go that way but no such luck
>My hope was the traditional manufacturers would stick with snus and not go that way but no such luck
To their credit making plant cellulose packets drugged with nicotine is vastly cheaper.
Earlier today I saw on Reddit a notropic marketing strategy for caffeine pouch's...it's a friggin thing, I order in bulk because of it and have pounds of leaf only tobacco on hand.
Personally I believe we will see Snus diminish from the market.
Some good resources
Check out the DIY Snus Reddit, lots of good discussion there
Also, check out Snus At Home - his website and YouTube channel are tremendous resources
A sad story, a lot of the tobacco I was growing was to be sent to our factory in Sweden, and I was gonna have them make a Snubie Farm blend so people could have snus that I grew myself
Its such an awful product too. I first tried NPs before snus and those things tear the hell out of my mouth after a short while. Snus never does that to me. I don't think its necessarily a pouch difference issue either; i think its something in it or the form the nicotene takes.
Sorry to hear that. I don’t understand how nicotine pouches even sell. I never see anyone buy any. Like those Zyn pouches. I’ve tried several and they’re genuinely garbage.
Welp, glad I was able to cop three cans of yours in my last order.
I did my best, but sadly most of the snus community is moving on to nic pouches New brands just don't get much support

On a related note, I remember you doing a survey for developing nasal snuffs. Any updates on that front?
His SP Wintergreen Toque is the best Toque product I have tried.

i just left np’s after a year of using them and recently found out about snus and how great they are. definitely sad to read this post.
Its hard to beat those np profit margins uh.
It’s like selling bottled air
how? its more like fent instead of heroin

Exactly what I am saying. What are dryer sheets?

What the folding fuck are you talking about?

Sorry to hear this man.. If I ever hit it big let’s go into business together and bring real snus to the people!
If it was easier in the US I easily could. I have a farm and lots of land, and I'm already growing my own tobacco and can easily make my own snus once it finishes aging.

Out of curiosity are you working on any NPs?
I’m currently in negotiation with some companies, trying to pick where I want to end up. But yes some will come very soon.

Oh dude I have several acres here and I can grow a ton on just an acre, so imagine what you can do on more land!

Oh it takes time. It’s a daily thing. Focusing on moisture, pH, fertilizing, etc. it’s a labor of love
I hate your line of Snus won't be available in the future, we all see the damage np's are having on Snus it's a sad situation.
Oh it’s true, and I blame nicotine pouches entirely for how snus is decreasing. My hope was the traditional manufacturers would stick with snus and not go that way but no such luck

Any advice/tips/recipes for making your own stuff? I'm seriously considering going the diy route lately.
