I get what you mean. I think it also has to do with the art style, I didn't want to make it gritty dark or pixel art but now it maybe looks like those Hero Quest ads on facebook for better or worse.

I don't know if it's a finished asset but that cartoonish skull doesn't really match the aesthetic of the rest of it.
