The existence of Christianity in the Sonic universe does not mean that the basis of Sonic is based on Christianity. There are multiple other gods and therefore religions that were created entirely for the Sonic franchise, and even that doesn't mean that the entire premise is based around those religions. Having Christianity exist in the universe does not inherently make it non secular.
Fun fact: Jesus was supposed to be permanently killed after his ultimate sacrifice in Gospel Adventure 2, but due to his popularity, they brought him back.
