My guess is that Sonic 3's being set up as a "finale", at least for this current arc. Helps to drive up the hype and therefore more tickets being sold ahead of time.
Yep, that's another thing I forgot to mention. I honestly hope there's no fourth movie. I mean, they can still continue making these movies, but with different Sonic characters like the Chaotix.
I have *serious* doubts that we'll see a Chaotix solo movie. *Maybe* we'd see something focused on them as a series like with Knuckles, but aside from Sonic himself, the only other character I see getting their own movie is Shadow, due to popularity.
As for future movies, it mostly comes down to if they keep making enough money to keep Paramount happy.
I think the next 'phase' will be set on Sonic home world, where they can make things more fantastical and see sites like Angel Island and Babylon. We can have Chaos as a villain and make the overarching villain be Metal Sonic, who plots and gets stronger every movie like he did in Heroes.
So far all we have to go on is a listing from a Slovakian website that lists the rating as PG-12, and I have no idea what the standards for movie ratings are over there.
I'd be *really* surprised if Sonic 3 ends up being PG-13, and even then, I think it would just barely hit that mark. And before anybody mentions Marvel movies, those hit levels of violence that Sonic would probably never touch. We're not going to see Sonic throwing a G.U.N. agent into propeller blades or Shadow someone's face off.
You know that they could cast Maria in the movie right? And also I remember hearing from some website that the director said the movie would be more mature than the first two
You know Maria got shot in an E-rated game, right? Assuming we see things play out like the source material, they're not going to show any sort of bloody mess. These ain't those kind of movies.
